XX// S t o r y I n s p i r a t i o n //

XXXXXXOkay. Now, this idea just came flying into my head and I can't seem to push it aside. The inspiration are the song, Skin Deep by Natasha Thomas, and the mythical story of Hades, the god of the Underworld, and Persephone (the picture in the first post is Hades and Persephone. Not made by me by the way). Go google the story if you don't know it. And of course, combined with my liking for Yaoi, the plot of this roleplay was born. Also, there might or might not be a bit of cross dressing here~ Inform me if that bothers you.

In a universe different from ours, two lands hated each other, the Kingdom of Hemera and the Kingdom of Nyx. For many years, these two countries had been at each other's throat but their want for peace in their own countries kept them to hold their hostilities. But with a small push in the wrong direction, and the two lands would be in a bloody war.

Santihne Accurso-Hemera, the youngest son in the Hemera Royals, had not known fully of this hate, often kept in an isolated part of the Hemera Kingdom and away from prying eyes, with only his trusted friend and servant. Occasionally, they would go out of their home to visit the villages close by, albeit only for a short time, and in disguises as to not attract too much attention.

And why was he isolated? Because he possessed the Heart of Hemera, a diamond-shaped cobalt gem embedded on his chest, just above his heart. It's the core of his kingdom that could easily destroy the homeland, it was that gem that kept the land fertile and blooming, for harvest to come greatly every year, for the constant light that surrounded the land, even in the night. Without it, the land would be barren, surrounded in darkness and the land prone to invasion by other countries. And the task of keeping it safe was given to every youngest child in the royal family, and thus, isolation.

Although, one day, Santihne's island home in the sea, a bit near the borders of the kingdom, was found by a ship landing on the shore when him and his friend were waiting for the boat that would take them to the mother land; it was one of those rare times again that he could come out of the island. It was on that day that he met the heir of the Kingdom of Nyx and was given the task of being a male mistress or some kind of an entertainment to the heir, unwillingly on Santihne's part. It was also on that day that the King and Queen of Hemera was told that their youngest child and his servant disappeared.

☀ Santihne Accurso ;; the youngest son and prince in the royal family of Hemera, also the hidden keeper of the Heart of Hemera. He is kept isolated in an island, rarely going out to the towns, but when he does go out, it was not long and he was unwillingly dressed as a girl. (Taken)

XXXXXXXXTsubane is a rather cold and seemingly heartless person, but what's he's really trying to hide is his true feelings, which he considers to be useless. A skilled archer and swordsman, Tsubane is a deadly opponent in battle, and prefers strategic attacks, rather than blunt power in numbers or skill. He never says anything unless he thinks it's worth saying, so most people have a hard time talking to him, since, more often than not, he completely ignores what they have to say.
The only person Tsubane really trusts is his younger brother. Otherwise, he is suspicious of everything and every one. Since he speaks very little, he usually says what he means, and doesn't cut around bends for the sake of manners or etiquette. Hobbies that he has include sneaking off to places where no one else goes just to escape from other people, stuffing his ears with cotton during meetings so he doesn't hear what people say, and slipping out of dinner parties.

XXXXXXXXTsubane was raised under the pressurizing eye of his father, the King of Nyx. His mother, the Queen, rarely pays attention to him at all, and regards him only to be the heir. She rarely speaks to him or even meets him at all, since Tsubane was brought up by various nurses and servants. The King is often harsh on him, and gives him difficult assignments to do. Tsubane doesn't refuse to complete these assignments, but he resents the way that his parents do not put him in higher regard.
Currently, Tsubane was on one of these assignments, patrolling the seas for any intruders or pirates, when his ship happened to land on a strange island. He decides to explore the island, and finds that someone inhabited it- Santihne.

XXXXXXXXIf he wasn't so isolated, many would have described Santihne as an angel sent from heaven, due to his features and behavior. But those who knew him deeper, they would describe him as devilishly innocent, you could say. Nonetheless, he has a quiet and kind persona. He prefers to be in a room full of novels and books or in a field of wilderness than mingling with other people, not that he can mingle in society, living in an island with only one person as he is. Also due to his isolation, he tends to be the anti-social type despite his attempts at being the opposite when they visit the motherland. He's painfully shy to strangers, politeness automatic in his gestures and behavior. Although friendly, his trust is hardly earned.

If you knew him for a long time and trusts you, you'd see his more hyper and playful side. Sarcastic and dry -sometimes even dirty- humor is often heard from him and he loves to tease. When provoked despite that being rare, his temper is something you should fear, or not, it depends if you can stand the silent treatment and the occasional talking/shouting back. When he finds someone threatening his friend and him, he puts on a strong facade, no matter how scared he is. He takes care of everyone who are dear to him. Ah, yes, don't forget the other negative qualities; he's lazy.

XXXXXXXXNot much to tell about his past. He's the youngest Hemera prince and the keeper/guardian to the Heart of Hemera. By the time he was five, the Heart was given to him to protect, embedded just above his heart, and he accepted his fate. Although, he complains about the unfairness of it all sometimes, when the loneliness was too much to handle. At seven, he was taken to the island with a servant who became his bestfriend after some time. Of course his family often visited him to keep him company, his older brother specifically whom he dearly likes and looks up to. As the years passed, he finally convinced his parents to allow him and his servant to go out of the island once a month or two. Although, he hated the condition his loving mother gave him because of it; he have to dress as a woman; sometimes he wondered if his mother liked to torture him, or just some misplaced affection because the woman had no daughters. Santihne will never know.

And it was that time when he was wearing a dress and waiting for the ship that was to take them out of the island and to motherland with his best friend that he met the two princes of Nyx.

XXXXXXXXFrom birth Kai has been reliant on his brother; he looks up to him, no matter how cold he acts. He’s mostly removed from society; people usually want to see his brother instead of him. He enjoys learning about the occult and supernatural, much rather believing in that than reality. He gets easily jealous when his brother pays attention to someone other than him. Kai has an extreme case of claustrophobia, and can’t handle being in an overcrowded room.

XXXXXXXXHis mother, having wanted a little girl, gave him a girl’s name and often doted on him, while ignoring his brother. It was about the time he turned six that he saw his brother for the first time and automatically latched onto him. It took a long while before he warmed up to the smaller child, but Kai let him have his space and didn‘t bother him too much. His mother still tried to spoil him with different things but Kai closed himself off and trained with his brother who never seemed to get attached to the idea that Kai would forever follow him. He always tried to skip his tutoring classes to be with his idol until his brother forced him back to class and stayed there. Even through this, Kai was adored by the castle staff, and often begged the cooks to teach him to cook so he could make something nice for his brother. His entire life and every decision he made has revolved around the older prince somehow, it was so very obvious to even those who visited the kingdom. He begged his father to let him go with his brother whenever he was given assignments, most of the time his mother would talk his father into not letting him go, but somehow Kai would find a way to sneak away from the castle.

XXXX➸ A great cook, Kai makes all the meals his older brother eats. He isn‘t very proficient in hand-to-hand combat, born to be able to hit a target from far away, Kai is better at archery and knife throwing although he knows how to use a sword he’d rather not.

XXXXXXXX Kyo is quite the character. Some would call him random, immature, or just plain insane, but he is also a gentleman, smart, and friendly. He would do anything to help his best friend and master, Santihne. Kyoshiro loves a good prank, and should someone anger him, he will usually get them back later. He has a soft spot for birds, as proven by his Peregrine Falcon familiar, Jeeves. Sometimes Kyo will get quiet, but only if the room he is is is particularly loud. Otherwise, if things get too quiet, he will make a random or odd noise, or try to start a conversation with anything in reach, even inanimate objects. His immaturity is deceptive, giving the impression of an idiot who has his head in the clouds, thereby allowing him to learn more than he would if he were to act as a normal being.

XXXXXXXX Raised in secret with his best friend, Kyo has been with Santihne for years, serving, protecting, and befriending the young prince. He follows the young prince everywhere, keeping things interesting and provoking laughter from the boy as often as possible.

XXXX➸ Things you might wanna know; trained in knife fighting, hand to hand combat, and has some minor skill with a sword. He has a particular affinity for avian creatures, and often seems to understand them, chirping back and singing with them on sunny days.
