Requiem was all a flutter, literally, she had grandbabies even though they were in baskets. The way she figured it they were safe from the harsh cold of winter, or so she hoped. This winter had been cold, and the ground was covered in snow.

Inside the teepee, which was thankfully very large, the fluttercorn was standing at her mates side. She couldn't help but smiling brightly...and the near constant fluttering of goassamer like wings. She was excited. These baskets, settled in the snow between her and her son and his mate, may not contain her own children but inside were her grandbabies.

"Can you believe it Legolas, grandbabies." She said spoke in a soft, almost dream like manner. She was so happy by this she was unable to remain still but that softened mothering tone of voice had come upon her once more. She never did speak in any manner other than soft and whispery. But there was a certain, definite, change in her speech.

"They will be lovely when they come out of those baskets. I just wish it would be warmer out for their sake." She may love the winter but for once she did not wish for winter. The cold and snow would not be the nicest of things to come out in to, a shock to the system perhaps.

After the baskets had turned up, he still didn't know where it was they came from, Silvera had decided to ask his mate to come home with him. He had to let his mother and father see the baskets, as well as his two siblings should they be around. He'd yet to introduce his mate to his two siblings, as his sister was always off on adventures and his brother was who knows where and doing who knew what.

His sister, ever since coming from her basket, had been going on adventures. Those adventures had just gotten longer, and taken her further from home, as she got older. He wouldn't be surprised if one day he came home, to see their parents, and she was there with baskets of her own. He didn't think of a mate with her, and not to say he saw his sister in that light but one never knew with her. If she had a mate she might have taken off a head of them, left them in the dust in her race to get home.

He'd sort of raced to get home himself. Having his mate help to load the baskets on to his back, he'd used his wings to keep them in place as he walked carefully - slowly home.

Now, standing in the teepee infront of his parents he was smiling proudly. The baskets settled on the ground, his tail flickering back and forth every so often.

"I am hoping one turns out to look as lovely as my mate, or you mother." Both females were lovely in their own special ways. His mate was like the spring while his mother was the winter turned soquili.

"Any idea where my two siblings may be, father?" He asked, his pale lilac eyes turning to his father. His father was a handsome alicorn, his sister took most after him, with ash blond hair. His parents, standing together, made a very attractive couple.

Didier had not seen his Lady this happy in a long time, not since she'd had her own baskets. This wasn't to say she was never happy, she was always happy, but she was bouncing around and couldn't seem to settle. Though the tiny ferret was excited as well.

Moving around the baskets, rubbing his lanky body against them. He was attempting to cuddle them in hopes the foals inside would somehow sense this. But also he was listening for any sounds from within the confines of the baskets.

Oh these children, once they rose from their baskets, would be well loved. He was sure of this, considering how his Lady was acting already. Oh yes, the family was about to once more become lively and interesting. Now if only there was another animal he could interact with. Oh well, one couldn't be so picky especially not when so much good had just arrived.

User Image Aethereal was very nervous about meeting Silvera's parents. It was bad enough that they had waited so long, but they had baskets without even letting his parents know that they were being romantic!! There was no help for it now though.

She followed Silvera closely, making sure the baskets stayed in place. She knew how careful he was, but it was just an extra precaution. They arrived at the tent in the early afternoon. As Silvera greeted his parents, Aeth stood shyly behind him, wondering how to make the best impression on some of the most important Soquili in her mate's life.

The little foal wiggled in his basket at the sound of his parents voice's. Today is the day, he thought to himself. Today is the day I get to meet my family. He listened to the voices around. Some of the voices he had not heard before. He wondered if his siblings were already out. Maybe he would take a little peek. He lifted his head, nudging his nose out of the basket to look out. Unfortunately, he threw himself off balance and tumbled out of the basket.

Looking himself over, the little foal stood up and wiggled his butt, fluttering his wings. He looked around at the adults before him. When he saw her, he knew who she was right away. Carefully, he took shaky steps towards his mother and stuck to her side, nuzzling her leg. "Mama," he whispered, smiling.

From the safety of his mother's side, he eyed the others. He spotted his father and ran over to him, running around excitedly. "Papa! Papa!" He giggled excitedly. Turning his attention to the other mare, he tilted his head curiously, wondering who she was.

A look to his mate, a fond smile on his face, he nodded his head. "They will no doubt be lovely." What with the appearances of the members of the family, there was no doubt all three would be lovely. His gaze then shifted to his son, he still wondered how it could be that both of his sons looked so feminine whilst his daughter was the one to get dirty and act more like a male. It was a confusing thing for him, he'd even passed out upon the three exiting their baskets.

Moving now Legolas went to greet his sons mate, bowing his head to her. "An honor to finally meet the one who gained my sons interest. I am Legolas." He had yet to hear the name of the lovely flutter who stood before him.

It was as his own mate gasped that his attention was again drawn to something else, this time one of the baskets. It seemed the foals had decided to enter the world today. And he was not shocked to see a very...feminine looking grandson, it really wasn't a surprise. In fact he by now didn't mind, and was sure that any other children he had would be like the first three. "Ah, it would seem the children have decided to bless us all with their presence today."

It seemed that he heard everything going on and had decided to also join the world. Rather then nosing his basket open he knocked the top right off and his balance lost went right over backward. Sprawled out on the ground and wings splayed open the little wind lay on the ground a mess.

But he knew what he wanted. "Mama!" His eyes locked on his mother, his sibling could have their father right now. Right now he wanted their mother, and her help up of course. Where as his sibling had pink hair, of a soft color, his own was a soft and pale blue color that was similar to his father and grandmother really.

Wings lifted and fell weakly, they were heavy and he was not used to having them open or moving them about.

She had gasped seeing the first basket move and a foal tumble out, how sweet though! To call for his mother and than his father, nuzzling and standing by one and than the other. The feeling which welled up within her made her long for more children of her own, perhaps it was time for a talk with her mate about more children. She very much enjoyed being a mother but the days of raising them from foal to adult were long since past, and she longed for those days and nights once more. Seeing her grandchildren made that even more clear to her than it had been, and she had known it before now in the back of her mind.

She wouldn't mention it now, later, right now it seemed another had decided to leave their basket and she looked around hoping to find blankets they could wrap them in and usher them into the tent to keep warm. "Into the tent with them, both of them and the basket." Moving aside so their parents could get them and the basket inside. "They mustn't catch cold or freeze." Both would be bad, and she wished no ill harm come to her grandchildren.

"I'm sure there are blankets in side, cover them, and we shall huddle around them while we talk." That way they could be kept warm with body heat as well. Yes, that would keep them warm. Oh, maybe the other basket would open tonight also. She hoped so, she would love to see the last of her grandchildren tonight.

Watching his first child emerge he was surprised when they came to him, excited and bouncing. Leaning down to nuzzle the child he heard his mothers words and nudged his child toward the entrance of the teepee. "Inside, now. You don't want to catch a chill." Another had emerged as well and seemed in need of assistance, assistance he was sure his mate could provide, as he moved their first child into the teepee.

"Come, body heat and blankets will keep them warm." And they both surely needed to keep warm. Not being so tightly curled into a basket with their own body keeping them warm they would chill out here.

He took the time to look to his mate, a fond smile having taken up residence upon his features. Two children so far had decided to greet the world, and his family got to see it. "Come, we can properly look at them when we are inside."
