" Underneath the moon, underneath the stars, here's a little song for you. Up above the world, up above it all-" A song sung by a feminine could be heard echo in the watering hole. Nisha swayed to the sound of her voice and dipped her paws into the water, welcoming the feel of the cool wet between her pads.
The weather had been hot lately; it would seem that things were cooling down a bit. Not too much but to the point where it was bearable to step outside of the shade or the water. Nisha dunked her head into the water right after her paws and then whipped her back back happy as water droplets splashed everywhere.

Blurrily waking up, Ayoka let her ears twitch here and there trying to adjust to awaking up. She let out a fullbody moan as she stretched her muscles and sighed happily as a cold breeze ruffled her fur. She rested her head on her front paws as she looked below her. It was good luck that she found her current resting place; a branch of an old oak tree.
She batted at the leave infront of her and before she knew it she was falling from the branch. Laughing she landed on her four paws, she loved that part. The rush of danger and then everything turning out fine. Sighing she clawed the ground, enjoying the squishy feeling of the spungy ground as it was located near wetland.

Lazying around the water hole must of the morning sure had its benefits. Nisha floated along the river, let the water carry her around. The water had enough current to pull her along but it wasn't too strong to drown or pull her under. The water blocked out the sounds around her as they were currently submerged into the wet depths. Orange ears took in the shapes of the clouds that were out, there were many shapes. Tilting her head a little to the left she spotted a maned dog... a zebra... a female leopard-A FEMALE LEOPARD!
She pulled her head backwards forgetting she was in water, and nearly drowned herself at jerk-reaction. Nisha came back up spitting and coughing.

Ayoka had been wandering the land, before her paws were starting to ache. She had had a fun morning of climbing trees, exploring an abandoned cave, watching other prides travel, and jumping from tree to tree. Sweat was beginning to gather on her fur making Ayoka feel dirty and in need of a wash. " Hello mother owl," She sang to the bird that was currenlty nesting inside a little hole and got a little hoot of welcome.
Giggling she moved onward to get some bathing done, she neared the lip of enterance. Peeking around the corner to see if any danger was afoot and in that assessment she found someone in her bathing area. A black and orange someone, a female someone. She tilted her head in curiousity and moved closer until she literally leaned over to peer down at the floating lion. Ayoka blinked in shock at the huge reaction she got from the other female.

" Wh-who? " Nisha tried to speak but it came out more of a croaked cough or a demented owl. She cleared her throat noisely before trying to communicate once more. " You scared me! Phew." Nisha quickly got out of the water to gain some ground with the other female feline. Nisha watched the other female watch her. I bet she looked like a drowned rat at the moment. She could feel her hair matte, not a pretty sight.
The other had smiling eyes, ones of amusement that caused Nisha to blush with embarassment. Nisha looked down again and then looked up with a laugh. " Hello, what a way to meet someone eh? My name is Nisha and you are?"

Laughing internally she listened as the other female almost hooted like the owl who she just met before running into Nisha. She purred out a giggled at what Nisha said next. " Yes it certainly is a way to meet someone new. It is a pleasure to meet you Miss Nisha, I am called Ayoka." She bowed a little as it was in her nature to be polite and delicate. She had been the princess of her tribe after all and she was one that had practiced hard to make loyal companions accept her.
" That floating looked enjoyable, would you mind if I joined you?" Ayoka waited for a response before she did anything and when the other nodded she beamed a smile before gliding into the semi-chilly water. " Oh brrr, that is cold." She laughed breathlessly.

Listening to Ayoka she nodded her consent, allowing the other female to join her in the water. It would be fun to have two instead of one alone. " Please join me, I wouldn't mind the company. I've been by myself for quite sometime and it would be nice to gossip with someone my age." She watched the other female get into the water and laughed some more. " Yes, it is quite chilly when you get in but once you're in for a while your body gets used to it. At least that is what happened for me."
Moving off to the side so she could get into the water herself Nisha waded in and then asked, " So how long have you lived in the rogue lands Ayoka?"

Swimming further out before diving into the water she almost missed the question that was asked of her. When she resurfaced she shook her head to dispel the water from her ears before turning to look at the other female. " How long? well... I would have to say seven mooncycles which is seven years. I was born in the rogue lands." She paused before nodding. " Yes seven years, and you? How long have you been living here?"
Ayoka swam closer so she could hear better and plus it was quite rude to make someone yell out their answers.

" I have been here for almost six years now." She began drifting again but this time floating on her belly, kicking her hind legs now and then when she felt herself sinking. "Oh, all your life huh? Me too, the rogue lands are all I know. I hope to travel one day and see all of Africa." She received a little hum from the other female, so Nisha took it as a sign that the other was drifting in her mind and enjoying the floating.
Looking up once more into the sky, it had seemed that morning had turned into afternoon and afternoon was slowly turning to evening. Nisha let out a quiet yawn or so she thought was quiet when the leopardess said that they should get out of the water soon as it was getting late.

It had seemed dusk had crept up on the us quickly. Looking up Ayoka noted the stars peeking out of the darkening sky and she looked over in time to see Nisha yawn tiredly. She had had fun this day, swimming and chatting with Nisha had gotten rid of the stress of being a royal.
" It has been a pleasure meeting you and I hope to run into at another time. It is time for me to get back to my pride, they must be worried about me." Ayoka smiled as she and Nisha got out of the river. She nodded her goodbye before making her way home.
