There must have been another way to get out of her room without being seen. Night after night cooped up in a smelly room was just gross. Cal needed to exercise, get some fresh air, and just plain stop sulking. But.... Interaction with people was something she wasn't looking forward to. What if she spotted someone she knew when she went out for a little stroll? What if they wanted to talk to her? Though the continual bickering of her pokemon was enough to get her to at least go get something to read and a decent meal. Even if it was in the late afternoon where the HQ would most likely be a hustle and bustle. One couldn't live on chips and dip forever.

This walk seemed like the longest she had ever taken. Where was the library again? She headed in what she hoped was the right direction. It would be easier to find something to read than venture into the kitchen to commander something to eat.

Everything was going smoothly on her way to the library. She hadn't even seen a soul that she knew. No one to ask her about her scar or ask to hang out. Cal was lost in her thoughts, actually smiling to herself for a change, when she rounded a corner and almost rammed into someone. Attentiveness was the key to being at the top of anyone's game. She spun to the side, uttering her sincerest apologies before looking up to the girl. She reminded her of someone... But that couldn't be the case.... "You sure have a lot of books there." Her curiosity couldn't help make her open her mouth.

"Oh . . . ? Oh!" blanched Len as she nearly lost her balance, the leaning tower of books shifting a bit. However, they did not fall but teetered to the side. With a quick phew, Len turned to the figure and twisted her mouth up in an upset frown.

"You sound like my roommate." she moaned in utter disgust and complaint. "It is not that much yet she is making me get rid of them all anyway!"

The chunky little Growlithe behind her tilted her head, tongue tolling out of her mouth like melted pink putty hanging off the tip of a stick. Lennyka was now talking to someone the Growlithe didn't know. Instinct told her to bite the heck of this new person, but she refrained as there was to be treats (like she needed them) to be eaten if she behaved correctly.

"Gruff!" barked the orange canine as she neared, jiggly-walking in a not-so very intimidating march. "Gruff, gruff!"

"I-I'm not trying to make you get rid of them or anything." She held her hands up with a slight smile to her lips. "I'm just wondering if you need any help." The tower looked as if it would fall over on top of the waddling fluff ball that approached. It's girth could match up to Skye's, but the pudgy thing was much cuter. And it was just adorable trying to look mean.

Cal couldn't help but express her love of the fluffy Growlithe. "What a charmer you have there!" It reminded her of the cute pup her father owned. The Growlithe seemed to like her more than her own father did.

Charmer? Her a charmer? Well, it was the first time the Growlithe was hearing this word. Hestia had been called practically everything in the great big book of insults for canines. Her favorite, by far, was mutt as it was what Lennyka normally called her when it was time for food. It was quite a degrading piece of word, but she didn't care. When mutt was called, it was one of her sixteen meal hours of the day.

"Gruff!" she howled, growling now. Sure, the other human looked nice and was capable of belly rubs, but she wouldn't let her guard down. Oh, no! No matter how great they felt . . . or how nice she sounded . . . did she smell of Bacon Bites? . . .

"Oh, oh, I'm sorry!" apologized Len, tilting the books the other way as she sidestepped. "I would love some." A smile was returned. Oh, would she love some help . . .

The pup was just adorable! It's pudgy roundness just accented it. Cal wished she could give the Growlithe a treat. I bet she'd like that. she giggled to herself as the dog still seemed a bit hostile. "I guess your puppy doesn't like me." Cal looked a bit crestfallen, though a bit showy at best. Who would have thought that this chance meeting would liven her up.

With the relief that the girl now knew that she wouldn't be taking her books away from her, though she doubted if she could with the look she had on her face, she held out her hands, "I suppose I should try to take half." She gave her an awkward smile, "Where will you be taking these?" Lugging them shouldn't be hard with her abdomen practically healed. Though it looked like there would be a scar there to keep a reminder.

"Oh, to the library." chirped Len, her face hardly seen through the ultimate leaning tower of pizazz and unfortunately, not pizza. She would be thankful when the tomes of partly useful information was relieved from the stack. There were just too many!

"Hmmph."

She really wouldn't be going through this version of her own Inferno anyway had she had gotten her own room. Then she would just be by herself with all her wondrous books as company.

Hestia gave a look to Missus Penny Lane, analyzing her with her ears and eyes. This one had no pies, so she really wasn't worth the barking at. However, she did smell nice. Like Bacon Bites. Did she have any? Did she?

Cal took the books, letting the teal haired girl lead the way. She could barely see where she was going with the stack of books that she piled into her arms. This girl seriously liked to read. A lot....

"I'm Cal." She spoke up as they walked to the library, trying to keep girl in her line of sight. The chubby Growlithe looked as if it had warmed up to her. Cal was ecstatic, "Could I give your Growlithe a treat?" She was sure there was something somewhere on her. Probably a Cheri berry saved for Skye, but one less wouldn't hurt him.

"I'm Lennyka- excuse me." replied the teal haired grunt with much difficulty. Some other pedestrians walking the other way almost collided with her, after being remarkably distracted by the amount of the books she was hefting around.

"Like I was saying," she said after retrieving her footing. "I'm Lennyka Dinkley."

Hestia was just following, just staring. However, the notion of treat nearly made her do twenty backflips. It would have been literally if she wasn't, well, such a chubster.

"Gruff!" she barked, tongue like a gasping Gorebyss. "Gruff!"

"Go right ahead." smiled Len. "It's not like she needs it though, haha."

"You..." She thought of the words to place her thoughts as she dodge the oncoming traffic of people. "You have a brother here?" There were two of them? Hopefully she had some sense unlike her brother.

Cal gave the pup a glance. "I doubt the one treat would make a difference." She smiled, working a Cheri Berry out of her pocket and letting it fall to the floor. "I hope she likes it." Though the Growlithe did look like it would eat everything that came her way.

"How much longer until we get there?" The books were getting a little heavy and Cal hadn't been out in a while. It was straining her sore body in ways that you'd never think books could.

"I do." Arceus, did her brother know everyone? That pissed her off a little, for some reason or another. What exactly was Sorano telling these people? Hopefully nothing too embarrassing! "You know him?"

A sideways glance was given to Hestia as she deftly caught the Cheri Berry between her jaws and seemed to swallow the damned thing without chewing. It was no surprise she did gag a bit, but only to clear her throat and carry on following after the two. In the next fifteen minutes, of course, she'd be looking for more.

"Ah, I don't think too long now." she said and twitched a brow to down the hallway where the double doors to the book keep was located.

Cal scoffed, frowning to herself. "Hardly." The times that they met left her in a frustrated mood. He just got under her skin and she hardly knew him! She calmed herself with a deep breath. "I've seen him around a few times. But I had no idea he had a sister."

That was fast. Cal was excited that the puppy had enjoyed the little treat. Now the pudgy thing would be happy to see her. But Cal would make sure to have treats on hand.

She rounded the corner with Len, her hair falling uncomfortably on her face. Cal brushed it aside as gently as she could with her shoulder, but in her haste, scraped across her scar. She winced, glad that her hair was out of her face, but it was now replaced with a warm liquid seeping out. She cursed under her breath, juggling the books and trying to think of a way to stop the small bleeding.

"He had forgotten he had one too," she replied with much disdain in her voice. That so-called brother of hers was something else. Really.

Finally, they had met their destination with a firm handshake. Well, Len would have certainly shook its hand if her she was not holding a large stack of books against her chest. Now the main obstacle: how to get the damn thing open? Hestia, who was very much dancing around Cal's legs now, had no thumbs. Unless she wanted to burn the door down (which did sound like a fine idea), there was no way to get in.

"Uh . . . " she murmured with a twist of her lip. "Uhhh . . . um . . . little help here?"

She couldn't help but laugh at the girl's comment. Sorano was bad, but really that bad? She avoided the chubby pup playing around her legs, careful not to trip and send the books flying to the floor. Somehow, Cal didn't think that girl would like her much if she did. There wasn't much Cal could do as she nodded. The slight burn of the scar as it oozed a small stream of blood distracted her. "Ah, yes. Just give me..." She looked around for a place to set the books, "A second."

She thought for a moment, trying to pull the door with her hand without dropping the books. Or using her backside to move the door. Both to no avail, but in her trails a pokeball loosened itself from her belt. When she had put the pokeball there, she didn't know, but a big Feraligatr graced their presence in the bright light. He seemed amazed to be out of his ball, eyeing the two rockets.

"Just what we need!" She smiled at the big pokemon, "Open the door for us Tybalt." He gladly obliged in a gentleman like manner, holding the door open for them. The thought didn't enter her mind that she could have made Tybalt carry the books.

Len felt her face crinkle a bit. Bleh, Water types.

"Oh, thank you very much." she said with a false graciousness and bow to the large, blue chevalier.

She steadied herself into the library and dropped the stack of her books onto the nearest area of rest. The two Rockets seated in the area quickly gave her an agitated stare and found themselves to another table. Len sighed and began to separate the books, tearing up whenever she found one of her favorites.

"Ah, first . . . " she sniffled a bit. "We h-have to sort them. Than pack them away into the shelves alphabetically. Than take tabs on them and imprint their serial codes into the computer."

She paused.

"Or we can just pack them away." That sounded more like a plan.

Tybalt followed closely behind the teal haired girl, a wide, toothy grin on his face. He adored the girl's hair color, it reminded him of the sea.

Cal gave the Feraligatr a weird look, he was a bit to close to their new acquaintance for comfort. She put the books down close to Len's pulling out a piece of tissue from her pocket to dab her wound.

She looked over the books, "It shouldn't take long working together..." She smiled, "Or we could pack them away. That will leave us with some free time." Cal patted the books, "Besides, wouldn't you like to get out or do something on this nice day?" She couldn't escape a nagging feeling in the back of her mind that she would be lying in bed and doing nothing.
