Feeling the cool wind blow through her fur, Nisha closed her eyes, soaking up the nighttime scene. It was her favorite time to be out, as she could blend in perfectly in the dark. Nisha hated standing out, ever since she was small. Part of it was a festering fear that her demon mother might come and find her, taking her back to the demon pride where Nisha's two siblings were. As she had gotten older, though, Nisha's fears of being kidnapped were slowly fading, since she was now fairly confident in her ability to not be captured - or escape if she was. She knew that she wasn't like her mother - she did, after all, have her father's cheetah blood running through her veins. It was that speed that she always relied on.
Flicking her eyes open, she stared up into the night sky. The moon was full, illuminating the land around her. It was really a pretty sight, with everything looking so serene and peaceful. At night, the world looked at ease, like all the hardships were just washed away.
Taking a few steps, she didn't really know what she wanted to do tonight. She wasn't overly energetic, she wasn't hungry - the only thing she really was was lonely. She loved having company, but found herself alone most of the time. She didn't have a pride, let alone friends to be around, and it was just...sad.

 Dar'Ian was walking slowly and surly through the night, his dark coat hiding him from all but the most astute eye. He wasn't even working on moving quietly anymore, it came naturally. The only thing that would might give away his position was the wind that was fluttering his growing mane. Being a lepon had its benefits, his larger size meant that he was stronger then a normal leopard but he still had the ability and agility to climb. That was actually where he wished he was right then, in a tree enjoying the night but Kuari wanted to hunt so he was indulging his friend.Kuari was high in the air, circling his friend Dar. The moonlight sliding off his dark wings but that didn't matter to him since the light was providing him with just enough light to hunt by. The bird knew that he could have hunted on his own, he did it plenty of times, but he enjoyed spending the night with his wing brother.
Movement in the darkness caught his eye. Something was moving a little ways away from where Dar was. Hoping it might be a rabbit or some other type of small mammal Kuari started into a shallow dive. His wings flared in surprise just a few feet from his 'prey'. It wasn't a rabbit or even a small antelope but a dark coated feline. A startled whistle slipped from his beak as he did his best to rest his course so he would fly back into the sky, the best he could do was swerve around the feline.

Taking in the cool night air, Nisha moved very slowly from her original spot. With no ideas on how to spend her night, there really wasn't any point in rushing around. And besides, a nice stroll in the moonlight was nice.
Moving on their own, Nisha's ears flicked up, her eyes following just to see something flying straight at her. A brief moment of panic flicked through her, but as it swerved around, she let out a breath of relief. It was odd, having such a close encounter with a winged creature. Usually, they never approached, since she was much larger than them and clearly not a prey beast. "How odd...." Her eyes trailed after the bird for a few moments, but refocused at a shape moving closer in the dark. Squinting, she still couldn't quite make it out. A fleeting feeling of panic rushed through her, one that seemed so foreign. Normally, she was the one that snuck up on others - but this time....well, it was the other way around.
"Um- " Stuttering nervously, she decided to go ahead and call out to whatever it was. Maybe it was friendly, after all.

Dar'Ian heard Kuari whistle in surprise. He picked up his speed just a bit, worried that something went wrong. He stopped in his tracks when he heard someone sort of call out. That had to have been what Kuari's whistle was but why was it surprised.
"Hello? Kuari?" Dar called out to both the voice and the bird. He was a bit weary of what was in the dark since he couldn't see anything other then the grass. It wasn't a feeling he really appreciated.
Kuari heard Dar call out and flew towards him. He circled his friend and whistled lightly again before flying a bit higher to get a better view for anything that was about to happen. Kuari also silently berated himself for mistaking that feline for anything even remotely appearing as prey.

Staring into the night, Nisha couldn't really see who it was that had called back. Her only thought was that it must be someone like her, with a pelt like the night. Or rather, that's what she desperately hoped it was.
"Who's there?" She was a bit confused about the name attached to the hello, but she could only assume that it had something to do with the bird that had almost run smack into her.
Taking a few steps, Nisha's golden eyes flickered in the moonlight. For a moment, she thought she saw a dark figure before her, with eyes like her own glimmering briefly. It was odd, how her eyes seemed to have failed at adjusting; maybe it was the moonlight that was keeping everything else dark for her. For a few moments, she closed her eyes, letting all the light slip away, before opening them once more to catch sight of another not too far off. Once she saw it, she didn't let her eyes leave it, not wanting to be surprised again.

Dar was startled that someone called out. He strained his eyes trying to spot whoever it was, they had to be hidden in the grass. A flash of yellow gave him a point to focus on. It was a dark feline. The lepon couldn't tell much more then general coloring since the figure seemed to fade into the dark just as well as Dar did himself.
Curious but cautious Dar walked forward slowly, keeping his eyes on the distant figure. He stopped at a decent distance, still a bit closer then he would have expected, but still at a safe distance. With a surprised look Dar stammered out a "hello". His dark and mysterious figure was a female with golden eyes.
Kuari watched as Dar approached the female he almost ran into. The dark bird was curious just as his four footed brother was but he wasn't as social as Dar was so he remained in flight but rather then searching for prey he just flew. He was not going anywhere in particular just playing around as he waited to see what would happen.
