AMITYVILLE ACADEMY ENROLLMENT FORM Name: Savior Nicknames: ?? ( how can you make a nickname from Savior? ) Gender: Female Age: 3 or 4 years old. Physical appearance says she's about 14 - 16, mentally she's probably about there too. Probably.
Faction/Race Monster - Marrowstripe ( original monster )
Personality: Hello? Anyone home? - Savior has that vacant stare look down to a T and probably won't be dropping it any time soon. It's hard to tell what she's thinking of (if she's thinking anything at all) considering she turns her gaze off into space more often than not, even when someone is trying to speak with her. Every now and then she'll actually look at the person like she's actually paying attention, but chances are the lights aren't all on upstairs. That isn't to say she's entirely stupid, she just is likely a few bricks short of a load in terms of getting a handle on things. She catches on to things pretty quickly if someone's yelling/telling/showing her for the sixth time, and once she learns a task she surprisingly doesn't forget it. While Savior's incapable of holding on to something complicated for too long unless it's a repetitive motion, day-to-day functions are not difficult.
(In case you're curious Savior's an idiot who would be like: my legs are broken - > I can't stand up - > why can't I stand up? - > my legs are broken - > repeat - > sorta give up trying to stand and drag self off with arms - > try to stand up again )
I'm a survivor - There isn't anything that Savior can't really overcome, be it emotional or physical or whatever else happens to pass in her life. Very resourceful despite having the (apparent) mental capacity of a rock, what Savior lacks in smarts she makes up for her ability to think (?) on her feet. She also apparently doesn't have the concept that some situations are impossible to overcome and she'll keep trying anyway until she's hurt or dead or someone takes her by the hand and leads her away. Her inability to understand and unwillingness to give up in tight fix could easily be mistaken for unshakable determination, but in reality she just probably doesn't know any better and can't grasp the fact that she really needs to just drop it and go away.
Like a...duck? - Whenever Savior goes to sleep at night, she wakes up the next morning promptly forgetting whatever it was she had to do and whom she knows. The first person that she comes across when she gets moving? Hello Mama! Like a duckling to the first thing it sees after it hatches, Savior will follow that unfortunate person for the span of the day (or until they run off and leave her behind) and often she'll even sleep near them if they couldn't shake her off. The whole process promptly resets come the early morning light and, unless that person couldn't get away in time, she finds someone new to latch on to. While "duck'd" to someone, Savior is every bit of attentive. . .as much as she can afford to be. She obeys instructions quite well, is very, very affectionate, and she actually can be protective and sympathetic should the need arise.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? To be honest, Savior doesn't remember how she got to Amityville; she probably wandered in somehow and forgot what she was doing that got her there in the first place. It's assumed that she's pretty content to just stay around the school though and she's not really the troublesome sort. She did actually fill out some kind of form and for all purposes had intended to attend the school and learn to function better in society, but she doesn't really recall doing all of that.
Natural Ability: Shedding Sand - All Marrowstripes produce sand when they move and they can use this sand to mark objects as well as leave a trail for them to follow. The sand has a scent unique to each individual Marrowstripe, allowing for tracking and re-tracing of steps. [ Savior's sand smells strongly like a citrus fruit, and is potent enough that even a non-Marrowstripe can smell the scent of citrus on her body ]
FEAR: Resonate Clap - Using her hollow bones to vibrate and begin to resonate, Savior can clap her hands together during the resonance and send out a distorting sound wave towards her opponents. Those who cannot hear are not affected as badly as those who are able, though all who are hit with the attack can feel and hearing some ringing in their ears. Balance may become warped for those with weak levels of constitution, however this attack cannot paralyze nor render foes unconscious.
Recovery from this attack depends on the stamina and health of the person hit, though using this attack causes pain to Savior's hands and actually leaves small splinters in her bones. She tries not to use it often.
Physical Description:
Eye Colour: #C5D8BF [ misty green ]
Hair Colour/Style: #FDF2AE [ buttercream yellow ]
Skin Colour: #C94A18 [ indian red / georgia clay red ] - From the tip of Savior's nose down to her mid-throat is actually pure white (along with her torso being pure white) though the rest of her body is the indian red
Clothing Style/Colours: ?? [ up to the artist - Savior probably will wear anything that isn't too loose, as in she'd wear something skin tight. In her case for clothing, less is also more - meaning she'd wear a bikini or something ]
Extra: The "mask" on Savior's face is actually a hardened piece of skin and can be removed. Removing the mask leaves two large holes above her ears that the mask "locks" in. Beneath her mask she has full lips that are set in a permanent pouting expression, as well as several pale lines that run from her lips over to her lower jaw as well as lines that run from her lips up towards her ears.

What is a "Marrowstripe" ?
A Marrowstripe is a monster from one of Rown's stories about people being eaten by monsters. They were beings originally created in a lab in an effort to make "clones" that could have inhumane testing performed on them (since clones don't have any rights, at least not to me), though over a period of time and testing the Marrowstripes mutated to become the monsters that they are today.
As monsters they are stronger, faster, and more durable than a human being - but that's true for generally all monsters. They are not, however, as smart as a human adult and usually do not have intelligence past that of a fifteen or sixteen year old. They come in two genders, male and female, and are egg-laying asexual breeders. Males were created first and initially did not have a gender, though once they started to spiral out of control females were created to cull the population.
Males are extreme omnivores (though they prefer to eat flesh) and will eat pretty much anything they can get their hands on - except their own kind. Females are strictly carnivores as well as cannibals - they only eat their own kind. Males are considered far more dangerous since they will eat anything and everything, while females are safe to be around unless you happen to be a male Marrowstripe (or another female Marrowstripe). Then you'll be killed and eaten.
Marrowstripes, more specifically females, can go without food for extended periods of time. They do not require water to stay hydrated, as most comes from what they eat, and they are able to store energy as needed. Should a Marrowstripe be unable to find food after a long stretch, they will hibernate to preserve their remaining energy and they will only wake when they detect a Sand-Trail that is close enough to them.
Anatomy of a Marrowstripe
The average Marrowstripe stands between 5'3" and 5'6", with males being slight taller and leaner than females. Both gender are extremely ambiguous in their appearance with little differences. Females are built a bit hardier than males and possess larger, rougher masks; males are thin and lithe with smooth, small masks. Males also have a visible adam's apple. Females have little to no bust to speak of. The mask is actually a hardened piece of skin that the Marrowstripe is born with, and it grows over time in accordance to the aging of the Marrowstripe. It can be removed, though if it is lost/taken a Marrowstripe will stop at nothing to get it back.
A strange side-effect of hollow bones and mutations is the fact that Marrowstipes produce sand while they move. It is believed to be caused by their bones resonating inside their bodies, though the sand does not come from every orifice in their body. Instead the sand comes from their hands or feet only while walking/touching, though when they lay down to rest it is not uncommon for them to wake up surrounded by a small pile of sand. The sand has a scent unique to each individual Marrowstripe, allowing for tracking and re-tracing of steps
Marrowstripes are also generally nocturnal. While they can and occasionally do move around during the daytime it is harder on their bodies and they prefer to move in the dark. The bright light also hurts their pale eyes, and they see better in twilight/low light. They cannot see in the dark, instead relying on the tracing of Sand-Tracks to get from place to place.
One of the most important aspects of a Marrowstripe is their jaws. Without their mask on and with their mouth closed, they appear to have full pouty lips with their mouth slightly open. For females it is more pronounced than males, giving them a surprised look. In reality it is because their jaws are much larger than that of a male and therefore are harder to keep closed. When open the jaws resemble that of the movie beast Predator combined with Audrey 2 from Little Shop of Horrors. It is a massive maw that covers the Marrowstripe's face and is littered with teeth. Females have larger jaws than males due to the fact they are required to be able to eat males, usually all in several bites.
Marrowstripe Communication
Marrowstripes have hollow bones as the result of mutation over time, and they use their bones in order to "speak". They do not have vocal chords and use their bones to resonate and form "words". Each Marrowstripe has a different "voice" which allows them to distinguish from one another ( as well as avoid/track one another ).
To a non-Marrowstripe the "speaking" sounds made by the creature may sound very harsh and be difficult to understand, though over time and adaption the Marrowstripe can possibly learn to adapt how they speak. To originally ears the best way to describe Marrowstripe "speech" is to compare it to feedback through a speaker, or perhaps the phenomenon known as EVP. Either way the "voice" is unnatural and hollow in its tone and, like a normal voice, can have pitch changes based on the mood of the speaker.
Naming a Marrowstripe
Marrowstripes generally name themselves since they tend to be solitary creatures, and they name themselves based on an aspect of their personality or sometimes how they feel about their actions. Each name is usually not difficult to pronounce and rarely does it have more than three syllables. It is not uncommon for there be several Marrowstripes with the same name, as they have personalities and common traits that are all similar due to genetic breeding.

Why is Savior so dumb?
In Savior's original back history, her "mother" was a female Marrowstripe re-caught by the Lab and altered to become a better hunter. In return for basically all around advancement of their ability to hunt and take down those of their kind without too much difficulty, certain aspects of personality had to be controlled. In order to maintain the "safety" of a female Marrowstripe around humans and anything that wasn't a Marrowstripe, they altered the level of intelligence in the newest broods. They were still able to understand that they didn't need to go after anything that wasn't their own kind, but they were soon unable to perform any other tasks than "consume", "track", and "survive".
Savior came from the third clutch of eggs created with this altered Marrowstripe, and as such is considered one of their "perfected" females. She was the fourth the hatch from a clutch of about sixteen eggs, promptly consuming the rest of them like a normal female would. She was released out once she had grown enough and had proven to be a particularly efficient hunter and tracker. Of course she was also borderline mentally retarded but she wasn't required to think. She was required to cull the population.
The Savior of "This is Halloween" is very much the same, though her history is someone ambiguous. Her kind was created by a group of people who came across certain situations that they could not explain by any means. Unwilling to actually look and discover what it could possibly be, that specific group created a monster that they blamed the situation on - and thus the Marrowstripes were created. Though enough belief and worry (mixed perhaps with a bit of worship in there) Marrowstripes somehow made their way into being spawned in Halloween.
She's not nearly as mentally challenged as her original self, considering she is capable of tasks that don't involve her original skill set, but she still does have difficulty.
What does Savior like?
Savior likes Kushis. End of story.
So what's the deal with Savior and undead students?
Marrowstripes have a strong aversion to anything rotten/rotting/deceased, preventing them from encountering such things. In their original universe it was programed into them to prevent them from digging up corpses or raiding anywhere that had dead bodies. It was also put in place to prevent them from spreading disease that often comes with carrion.
This applies to Savior in the TiH universe as the people who imagined her tribe thought that the "creatures" avoided the deceased and therefore they would leave dead bodies laying around at the entrances of their villages to prevent the "monsters" from coming in. As such, Savior cannot handle in any way, shape, form being around an undead. It makes her extremely uncomfortable to the point where she may get violent or just simply run away. It is believed she cannot stand the smell of them either, even if they don't smell bad, and she certainly can't handle the touch of them.

Oh, wow.
...I love her. I love her lots. Forever.
Question Time! It was stated that when run past her countless times, she will essentially have certain things burned into her brain. Does that only apply for physical tasks? In other words: if someone decides to repeat their name to her over and over and over again, will she remember them? Or will she remember the name, but not the face? (That would be hilarious.) Does she know of this fact? Is that how she remembers her name? If not, how does she remember her name?
Can Marrowstripes' ways of communication be used to communicate with other species or is it only exclusive to their species?

She'd probably start to associate the name with whatever happens to be there at the time. So say they always pointed to themselves while saying their name - Savior would likely assume that pointing her finger means that person's name. She may remember the name eventually but faces will always be a blur to her.
As for how she knows her name, it's kind of ingrained into her. Her name is something she gave herself and therefore she won't ever forget it. She may forget to tell it to other people though . . . .so she'll answer to whatever is called at her
Quote: Can Marrowstripes' ways of communication be used to communicate with other species or is it only exclusive to their species?
Since Savior can't talk any other way, it's assumed that she can speak with any other species by using her "bone talking". It probably sounds really weird to others though and hard to understand. Think of it as someone talking but there's loud feedback. Eventually she may or may not get better at "talking" to others, but since she has no vocal chords she'll never be able to speak normally.
Thank you so much for the crit!! <3 <3

The acceptance bin had been hiccuping all day. Which would have been funnier to the secretary if said acceptance bin had not been hiccuping and releasing a strange sort of gas, one that oddly smelled pleasant.
It wasn't until Hellma looked straight at said amused secretary that he realized it had been hiccuping the apple cider, which had mysteriously disappeared from her desk last night.
