An outfit you'd like her to take pictures in - most hospitals have a photographer who comes around in the first 24 hours after babies are born to take pics and offer you a package.
Other then that the hospital supplied everything for m baby when she was born, they gave us enough diapers/formula a soother, a suck bulb for mucus and even a little diaper bag with blankies/ a hat and onsies that was more then enough for the hospital stay /trip home heart

I'll be breast feeding Cedric so I wont need formula. I just want to make sure that I pack more then I actually need just in case I have to stay with my mom the night I'm release. I have his going home outfit but not his picture outfit yet. I really haven't found one yet but I'm looking for one.
XD Cj is my first baby so Im pretty clueless on all this stuff. I have a list of stuff to pack for me. But not my baby.

Weell.. For YOURSELF a -few- changes of clothes that are super comfy.. Brush.. toiletries... Snacks >_> ... Stuff for when your bored. I swear the day after I gave birth I was PACING the room wanting to go home and my doctor was not happy with me LOL.
For your little one.. Most hospitals honestly provide a lot.. From diapers to formula and everything in between. To be on the safe side.. Bring a handful of diapers, a travel sized thing of baby wipes, choice formula unless you plan to breast feed, bottles and pump if you plan to express milk or formula feed.. Well, brings bottles and formula just in CASE you are unable to breast feed even if you plan on it. Bring a pair of infant nail clippers! Most hospitals will no longer clip nails and some babes come out with CLAWS. xD A handful of soft rags for spit-up and general clean-up after feedings and other things. Infant clothes! Bring a few different outfits. Are you getting infant pictures taken? Bring a 'fancy' outfit and also a nice outfit to come home in. =) Also, swaddling blankets are amazing to have on hand! I have no idea what your winters are like.. But a nice THICK jumper type outfit would be great to come home in if its still cold outside. Hmm, multipurpose diaper rash cream. Most kinda are great for small cuts/burn and stuff. When mine was an infant I kept my nails short but magically managed to scratch her every once in a while :l
Also, the fist couple of months you will find yourself stressing over every item you take in the diaper bag... Now that I look back I wonder why I ever had so much crap. xD Now its two sippy cups, two diapers, and wipes and thats alllll I bring places and shes 18 months old. Before I'd have a diaper bag over flowing.
I'll post more if I think about it.

>.> I know babies come out with claws. D= all the babies I know did. lol. Im planning to get pictures done and telling the family that if they want to order some then they can pay for it themselves. My husband is in the Navy but we arent made of money. Im only getting enough for me, my husband, and a few family members that I know cant afford to buy them. He is Due May 2 but he is moving around so much that he might be here in April. I have been looking into the Swaddling blankets Im just looking around for what brands are better and such. Plus He will be in warm close in the house during the summer since my AC is like high power and freeze my bedroom out every year. And behold the outfit that he will come home in! All I need is a green hat and little green socks and we are set with that XD

Whatever you want to have for him. My neighbor just had her baby yesterday, and I'm not positive, but I think she may have brought her own diapers because she is cloth diapering him due to a family allergy. Also a car seat is good.

I would take extra blankets, hospitals get really cold sometimes. And baby mittens because they can claw up their face with out meaning too. I don't know why but every newborn that I have seen had some pretty long claws. I don't have any babies but.... A lot of my friends do. I'll ask them and see what they brought to the hospital.
