Finally after days of nonstop rain Caellum could venture into the gloomy, but dry, outdoors, immediately, looking skywards suspiciously. It would figure that the clouds would see him tentatively contemplating a nice, long, outdoor reading session and decide to suddenly stop pouring again. However the gray clouds seemed to be still and paling a little, having dropped all of their watery burden already. It was a good thing, too; Caellum swore that if had rained much more the river would have flooded and washed the school clean away. Not that he could really object to some of the idiots that went with the school disappearing but... He liked his room and the library.
Warily he glanced around, hoping not to see that blasted Typhlosion that seemed to make his life miserable all the time. After making sure that the coast, for now, appeared to be clear, he pulled out a fresh pack of cigarettes, smacking the top of the pack against his upturned palm firmly. He repeated the action a couple more times before beginning to unwrap and open the pack. It almost seemed like opening a present, in a way; all the glossy plastic and shining, thick paper on the inside. And then there was that soothing, sweet aroma of fresh tobacco, the flavor never quite as good after the first cigarette.
Caellum cast another wary glance around as he slipped the filter between his lips and padded his pockets for his lighter even as he put his fresh pack away. He pulled out the blue lighter and flicked it into life, a sound that he know always associated with relaxation and calmness. That soft sound of metal sparking flint and bursting lighter fluid into flame always seemed to soothe away his anger, oddly. Perhaps it was simply because the sound was so closely linked with the intake of calming nicotine... Who knew.
He took a deep, relieved drag before slowly exhaling, his eyes fluttering shut behind his sunglasses. Two days without a cigarette had been torture, especially with all his pent up energy from being around fellow students that infuriated him. To him this first cigarette after so long was like a cup of water to a dehydrated man; Simply godly. With a soft hum of satisfaction Caellum shoved his free hand into his pocket as he began to wander, flicking the ash from his cigarrete instinctively.
he muttered, shaking his head as he continued to walk a smoke, hoping he could go just one day without harassment.
