This thread is host to the Jello Fishes tracklists, collections of some of the songs played at the club throughout its Thursday through Sunday opening hours. They are updated at random to give browsers a rough idea of the type of music played, and are meant as suggestions for songs featured in scenes roleplayed at the club.

Jello Fishes is famous for its Zero Tolerance policy regarding bad behavior, from inappropriate dancing to flagrant use of curse words. Because it was founded to create a safe, fun environment for Hogwarts students to dance their weekends away, even the music is held to strict standards. Only very small references to substance abuse or adult situations is allowable, so a majority of Jello Fishes' music is considered "squeaky clean" for teens.

So, yeah, we're not playing "Rude Boy." ;p

Jello Fishes was founded seven or eight years ago. After a teenager died of an accidental overdose at a ******** My Thestral’s concert in London, the parents of Hogwarts students went into an uproar over the lack of safety measures offered at wizarding clubs. Celest Frish, the boy’s cousin, took matters into her own hands; rather than blaming the adult-oriented clubs, she instead gathered funds to make a new dance club that would also house safe, controlled live performances, calling it “Jello Fishes” as a play on her cousin’s name, Jerald Frish.

The club was a wild success, strict security and iron-clad rules put in place to prevent teenagers - and, later, young adults - from getting into substance abuse or underage groping while at the club. Celest encouraged kids not to see the rules as restricting, instead as something to help them relax and just enjoy nights out with friends without the worry that someone was going to get hurt.

Jello Fishes is usually open Thursday through Sunday night, though it is occasionally open on Tuesday or Wednesday nights for special events like Gay Pride Night or OMGEXAMSAREOVER Night.

The bar serves soda and snacks, and is run by Celest on most nights.
