The Pittsburgh Steelers play against the Green Bay Packers for the Lombardi trophy.

The Steelers are going for their 7th overall, 2nd under Tomlin, Roethlisberger's 3rd.

The Packers go for their fifth. Aaron Rodgers has quickly made the Packers forget about Favre.

Who will win this?

Discuss.

I'm a die hard Steelers fan, and let me say this, I couldn't imagine a more better team to go against in the super bowl than the Green Bay Packers. A Franchise that was crippled by the loss of their Star QB. They quickly bounced back to be considered in my opinion, comeback team of the decade. A team Favre was greatly identified in, a hard icon to follow. & the team did extremely well to prove everyone wrong.
I've been a Steelers fan for 20 years and seeing my team reaching the big game 4 times (winning twice lost one and attending this year's; Don't remember the Dallas Super bowl, I was only 4-5 years old xD) has been a blessing. It's always great seeing your team reach the super bowl while you're still alive xD And I'm so thankful. Anyways, that concludes my opening statement xD

As for the Game:

Holy crap; I am nervous. The packers isn't a team to be messing with. They remind me of the 05 steelers actually.

To be continued....

Actually, though this is their fifth Superbowl apperance, they are going for their fourth title. The Packers have won 3 of 4 Superbowls.

I have to go with the Packers. The Steelers have a beat up offensive line, and the Pack have a great blitzing defense I think will give Roethlisberger some trouble.

Well, if you want to talk about the Pittsburgh Line, they've been injured throughout the whole year. Not to mention, trying to get Ben on the ground is tough. He'll run around and make a big play when you least expect it.

Still, with Pouncey out, it could be tough. But... It's not like the Packers are great at stopping the run. I think the Steelers will run the ball to alleviate some of the pressure on Ben.

And... It's not like the Packer's line is without injury. They were also injured throughout the season. Even in the NFC Championship game, they got injured. Will be a weird Super Bowl.

Packers Offense: Rely on Aaron Rodgers
Packers Defense:Rely on Blitzes

Packers Special Teams:Rely on Kicker.

Pittsburgh Offense: Rely on Roethilisburger
Pittsburgh Defense:Rely on Blitzes
Pittsburgh Special Teams:Rely on Returner

Now for Aaron Rodgers getting that ring will get the monkey off his back.

What monkey...? Living in Favre's shadow? Favre with his 1 Super Bowl ring? Favre and his 5,000 game streak?

Dude, I agree whole-heartedly, you took the words right out of my mouth. I was born and raised in black 'n gold, and I gotta say, I'm not worrying. We are a serious team. I keep getting remarks from people, like "Ben's a rapist" but you'll have that. I can't believe people will only focus on a quarterback when it's obivious that this is a team sport, and that Ben won't be able to do anything if he isn't protected. And speaking of quarterbacks, I can't stand Farve. We don't talk about him in the house, it's just not good for the children. If the Steelers weren't in the superbowl, I'd root for the Packers, nuff said. I'd love to see Favre get upset, just like I like seeing Tom Brady mad, or Flacco being sacked. But I'm a loyal fan, and I stick with my team, even when we're being ridiculed. I just think of Jack Lambert's face, and it reminds me to be tough and stick it out, for the team smile

I truly think the Packers will win the Superbowl but hopefully not. I'm not rooting for the Steelers or Packers but I honestly hate the Packers.

Well EA had their yearly Madden prediction for the Superbowl. In case you didn't know EA has successfully determined the winner in 6 of the last 7 Superbowls with their video game. And here is their prediction for this year.

The Packers will jump out to an early lead, but the Steelers will Rally and win in the end 24-20.

So according to EA sports and Madden 2011, the Pittsburgh Steelers will be the winners of Superbowl XLV.

That's wrong. The Steelers actually jumped out to a 10-0 lead.
After that, the Packers scored to close the lead to 10-7 before the half. Steelers extended the lead to 17-7, but Green Bay stormed with 10 unanswered at took the lead early in the 4th to go up 17-20. However, Roethlisberger throws a pass to Mike Wallace with 1:20 left in the game to get them up 24-20. With Green Bay trying to win the game, Rodgers throws a pick to Ryan Clark with 0:20 left on the clock to seal the deal.

That was my bad. The source I used said they jumped to an early lead, and I neglected to double check. Bad reporting on my part. But still the prediction is 24-20 Steelers, I did look into the predictions of the Madden games and indeed they have determined the winner 6 of the last 7 times, the only flub was Superbowl XLII when the game predicted the Patriots to beat the Giants.
