About the Guild
So, I formed this idea while typing up my RP entry for another character. I set her up as a former member of an elite group of assassins-for-hire based out of Fangroot.
The guild had once been nothing more than a motley band of ruffians and thugs until he came along. The group became organized, trained, elite even, specializing in dirty work and getting paid for it, whether in tributes of tasty food and other goods, or shiny and rare baubles. Long as they got paid, the work didn't matter. Their notoriety spread, as did the fear and dread associated with the mere mention of their organization.
My RP entry character had been practically born and raised in this group, throughout its reformation. It being all she knew, she trained hard to be the best at what she did, developing skills much desired by the clan. With time, she gained a reputation of her own and swiftly flew up the ranks within the guild. Before long, she was second-in-command, subordinate only to the "Boss." But something was wrong...she'd done all she could, thinking it would satisfy her...but it was all just so wrong. With time, the weight grew heavy on her shoulders and she'd seen more than enough terror and bloodshed in her life.
She vanished in the night, fleeing to far-off lands to begin a new life, with a clean slate, hoping never to hear from the group again.
The guild continues to function. Led by a powerful and charismatic wildcat, who prefers the title of "Boss" over any other, the assassins-for-hire maintain their 'business' in Fangroot. The best of the best rewards go to the higher ranks, so the lesser ranks and the new recruits generally fight tooth and nail to prove themselves worthy to rise above the rest. Even if those they maul on the way up happen to be their own comrades. All's fair among villains.

Future Plots
I have a few vague ideas to start off with, but that's it. However, if anyone else has ideas for other over-reaching plots we could mess around with? Suggest away! =D

A little on the sadistic side, she is often seen giggling at others' misfortunes. Basically she = schadenfreude with fangs and teeth. Where would you like to see your character go in this group? Espy would probably not want to climb the ranks. At the point where the job is no longer her version of fun, she would prove uncooperative. Her best bet is to take assignments. She will probably stay in trouble because she likes to party... a hedgehog with a hangover. @.@

Why does your character want to join the guild? To see if it's worth her while, really.
Where would you like to see your character go in this group? She's a sort of enchantress, who likes to use her words and charms to get what she desires. That's not to say she is by any means weak, oh no. She wields a metal fan, that looks like a normal ladies Asian summer fan. The metal being very thin, but quite sharp and durable. She'd most likely want to just mess around, see if the group could serve as a place for her to gain more riches and ownership of what ever her mind can imagine.

I'm not sure of if either of my fangroot folks would actually fit, but I was wondering if they do some recruiting? It might be interesting to have my ruffian orphan of fangroot, Baneberry, know one or two members, and maybe even look up to them...

Sure, the idea is still in the refining stages, but the way I see it, they'd have to be recruiting new members from somewhere. Likely, they'd look for individuals who have some potential and skills already, then recruit them in order to train them in those abilities to make them valuable assets.
And likely, if anyone has heard of them outside of Fangroot (yay, notoriety!), it would be as a mysterious, shadowy organization; totally impersonal. But within Fangroot, others outside the guild may know the members and some of what they do (but not all of course), without being members themselves. I could see something like that happening, with Baneberry remaining on the outside, but developing a sort of '(anti-)hero worship' of one or more of the members? XD

That sounds pretty awesome. I'm not sure where he's going, since I'll develop that through the influences he has in RP as he grows, but, he admires the strong, that take what they want, and if they show him a little "Yer not so bad, kid," kind of favor, he'd probably be pretty excited. xD

I have a curious question...Do the members of the Guild have to be based in Fangroot? or is that just the home base for operations?...I have a quest 'crestian who would fit in so well, but I have plans to put him in Hallowmarl [if I ever get him, that is...me and my wishful thinking]...so, are there tribe limitations? or can anyone join up?

Hmm...good question. confused
I'd based this in Fangroot, since it seemed to fit the tribe description so well, so I assumed that would be where its members would come from, but...
I can also see the leader wanting to broaden his reach, maybe even having agents in other tribes.
Could be interesting for future plots too, since I have the former second-in-command, Silvia "Darktalon" Stonebloom, who fled the organization and is living her new life in Hallowmarl...
Could always stir up some chaos in the future if a 'foreign agent' discovers that the 'traitor' is alive and well in Hallowmarl... ninja
So, I guess we'll leave the option open for future discussion. It could work, especially in the future when the organization is well-established (with lots of canon RP members), and it would be believable that they would be reaching out into other territories. 3nodding
