Playing PC games at school, even though they block it.

Ah the joys of high school attempts of filtering out sites in order to stimulate more productive behaviors during class. How I laugh at their attempts.

As for me, I'm in college...which means almost complete freedom. Of course our activities are monitored to prevent the usual things like illegal downloads. They just either ban your a** from their internet service or kick your a** out of their enrollment list.

My only complain is the full of crap speed I receive at any given time. It's fast enough to load websites and flash games but too slow to load videos. I have to wait about 4-5 hours to completely load a 30 minute video on good days. Sometimes it takes more than a day to accomplish such a feat. But then again, this is internet provided to me at my apartment for free so I'm grateful enough for it. It's just a pain in the a** to have to bring my laptop into campus if I ever feel like playing an MMORPG sometime or to watch a video to write a report.

Btw, have you tried Kongregate yet? It's just about the best flash game site there is out there. Complete with things like user levels, badges, their own trading card game and etc.

Ohh my school district is horrible when it comes to blocking.
Every single site under the sun is blocked for no reason...
and the worse part is they actually know what pr0xys are ^.^
So bad that EVERY SINGLE pr0xy site is blocked and even
the ones on the daily updated lists of brand new pr0xy's...

But, still..... I have flash game sites, a site to connect to youtube and a special un-blocked proxy that only me and a few friends know about.
Anddd we put a s**t ton of games on the computers to play ourselves...
(Quake III, Counter-strike: 1.6 and Gameboy Emulators to name a few)
Not to mention I figured out the admin password ;D

Well, at least you could say that the schools technicians are actually competent enough. My high schools tech staff was full of s**t. Don't know what they were being paid to do. During my four year stay, there was always someone who managed to hack their way into the system and change grades. All the teachers were forced to keep grades by book and I guess the repeated hacking attempts were just to spit on the already shriveled up pride of the tech team.

I simply carry a flash drive with my keys to satisfy my gaming needs whenever I find myself without my laptop, internet, or blocked from sites. I wasted so much time on FFTA, MMBN, and various other GBA games during computer class, lol.
