Share a scary story with everyone! It doesn't have to be written by you, as long as you make sure to add who originally wrote/posted it, or if it's from a site(such as CreepyPasta) tell us what one. PLEASE DO NOT ADD PICTURES WHICH CONTRIBUTE TO THE TALE! Or if you do, make sure it's a URL(meaning a link to it) and not a IMG(like your roleplaying pictures). Because they are creepier then the stories, often D: Also, try not to have them too graphic. Keep them within the Gaia Tos and the RAWR guild rules ;3
----------------------------------- The House Of Many Doors Originally posted by fukaimoriMidori in the guild Horror Inc. Information on the doors' meanings posted by Morganic in the guild Horror Inc.
Somewhere in Brooklyn, New York exists a narrow old-style 12-story building. It looks as though it was built sometime in the late 1800’s or early 1900’s, however the only documentation of the building was in the early 1900’s, when it was first noticed. Nobody really knows where this building came from, but nobody has really bothered to tear it down or do anything with it for as long as it’s been around.
In May 1902, a couple of teenage kids explored the building. Inside, they found a single hallway on each floor of the building. Down each hall there were several doors on each side of the hall. On some floors, there were 31 doors; on others, 30. One even had 28 doors. All the doors, the halls, and the stairwells appeared to be very worn out. For some reason, all the doors had the same rusty labels on them (the label read “1902″), and they were all unlocked. All the rooms looked to be the same; old, dusty, and appearing to fall apart. The first 5 floors of the building were the same, but the teens said that they couldn’t go down the whole 5th floor hallway; they said that there was something about it that seemed to give them chills, practically immobilizing them.
4 months later, they went mad and committed suicide.
After this incident, local scientists began to conduct experiments concerning the building. They sent in mental patients for a period of time, then obesrved their behavior for a period of 6 months afterwards. All but 3 patients were able to emerge from the “haunted” building. It has officially been reported that only the truly heartless and insane are able to go into the building and emerge unharmed (considering that they were already insane before they went in).
The bulding still stands today; it’s just that not many people can locate it. A small group of ghost hunters in December 2008 located this building, thinking that it’s phenomena was the result of ghosts (go figure…). When the went inside, it still looked the same way it was reported over 100 years ago. There’s just a few slight differences:
1. All the labels on the door, although still rusty, no longer read “1902″; they now read “2008″. 2. There appeared to be an extra room on the second floor of the bulding; it was still the same as all the other rooms, however. 3. The ghost hunters were able to make it to the last floor of the building, before that same chilling feeling set into them. 4. There were 3 doors this time around that were locked. Their locations are:
1. On the 6th floor, the 28th door down the hall is locked. Its label reads “1914″, and the smell of death seeps out from under the door. 2. On the 9th floor, the 1st door is also locked. Its label reads “1939″, and it also reeks of death and a German Swastika can be seen carved into the door. 3. Also on the 9th floor, the 11th door down the hall is locked. Its label reads “2001″, and a light layer of smoke can be seen drifting out from under the door.
In February 2009, the team of ghost hunters were admitted into a mental institute for violent and abrupt behaviors. They have been deemed insane. Nobody really knows what evil surrounds this building, but if I were you, I wouldn’t go looking for it…
– Credited to Neo.

Symbolizes the start of all the World Wars. 6-28-1914= Franz Ferdinand and wife Sophia are assasinated, beginning WWI 9-1-1939+swastika= Germans, Nazis, and Holoucast and WWII 9-11-2001= Not really a World War by name, but the bombing of the twin towers and the start of the War on Terror.

I know you probably don’t believe that, but seriously, I’m from the future. It’s a really great thing; getting to see the past, watching events unfold… stuff like that. We know more now than we ever would.
Behind all the fun, though, there’s a more serious aspect. We aren’t supposed to go in our own lifetime, and we are NEVER allowed to contact our past selves. Let me tell you, I’m breaking that rule right now. Yes, kid, you’re talking to yourself. Your future self. I’m going to be executed for this, but you know what? I accept that. I’m preventing something by talking to you that is WORSE than death. I can’t tell you outright what to do, because the filters would catch it. This is the closest I can get, trust me. I can, however, send a little message.
You should probably read the first word of every paragraph, now.

I’ve always had a terrible fear of being submerged completely in water. Not that I can’t swim or anything. My dad made me learn; he said I almost drowned when I was really young.
I was afraid of it because, for as long as I can remember, whenever I am under water and look up at the surface I see a woman reaching down to me with a warm smile, with glowing golden hair and dark blue eyes. Even if its just in a bathtub. It always happened, it was just normal for me, but i never got used to it.
It was unnerving, but also soothing at the same time. She always made me feel like it was okay. I still avoided it, though, because I was just a kid and it was really freaky.
I never told my dad about it as a kid, but I did ask him about my mom. He never wanted to talk about her. Sometimes he even got mad at me for trying too hard to bring it up.
It was only recently that I described this apparition to him. He nearly drove into a telephone pole; obviously he knew something. I asked him, again, about my mom. He still would say much, except that she died when I was very young, and that she loved me very much. He also admitted that her hair and eyes were those colors, just like mine.
So I did some research on my own, looking up her name for myself on my birth certificate and trying to find any references I could, any news clips about a boy nearly drowning, any thing. I mostly wanted a picture, something I could match to my guardian angel.
Today, buried in our town library, I found it.
WINCHESTER: Marie Withie, 28, drowned to death yesterday evening after climbing a razerwire fence and fleeing to a nearby resevoir. A funeral is scheduled by her family for the 25th. Marie was institutionalized just six months ago, after being found “not guilty” of attempted murder on grounds of insanity. Her husband Daniel Withie had acted quickly enough to rescue their infant child when she was found trying to drown him in a bathtub.

The Glasses Originally posted by KyokoEXE in the guild Horror Inc.
For a brief period in 1971, a New Jersey based company sold novelty “X-ray” glasses through the mail via advertisements in the Marvel line of comic books. People who viewed their televisions while wearing these glasses reported seeing images that were “hellish” or “like hell”. It should be noted that this phenomena occurred whether the televisions in question were turned on or not. The company quickly went out of business and investigations reveal that the company’s address leads to a graveyard founded over 150 years earlier.

The Manipulated By Roleplayninjakitty239 Based off a story by 1DAKOTA SMITH1 in Horror Inc.
I lay down, trying to think of nothing. No. Trying to think of anything besides....the dream. The dream that has haunted me for over a year now. I can't live through it again. Even when I know it's only that, a dream, it refuses to change.
I'm standing in the kitchen, with a knife soaked red.
No. Please, I can't see it again.
Lying at my feet are my dead mother and father Their blood staining the linoniem floor, expressions of terror and shock still etched across their faces.
No! Make it end....
I fall to my knees, sobbing quietly. I feel someone place their hand on my shoulder. "This is your future. You realize that, Samantha." "No...I refuse to let it happen...." I choke out. "It will get better. But this night, I won't let you sit in your bed." "W-what..?"
This...is different. He's never said that before.
"When you awake, you will not be in your room, shaken, and convinced it was not real. You will do as I tell you. It'll all work out. You'll see...." "W-what do you mean?"
I open my eyes, seeing the kitchen. I'm weilding a knife soaked red. Lying at my feet are my dead mother and father. Their blood staining the linonium floor, expressions of terror and shock still etched across their faces. I collapse onto my knees, tears falling down my cheeks. I just stare, completely confused and grief-stricken. What have I done? I feel someone place a hand on my shoulder. "You've done well."
-----
The police enter the house, having gotten reports of screaming from the neighbors. They search, finding nothing wrong; only a neat, cozy little home. Until they reach the kitchen, that is. On the floor are three bodies. The father and mother, full of stabbing-inflicted holes, and a girl who could not be more then twelve with a knife through her chest.
The man from Samantha's dreams stands beside the officers, unseen by the living.

Satanic Cemetery Originally posted by Vanilla eXee in the guild Horror Inc. (Maltby, Washington)
This cemetery is said to have been built by a Satanic family so that they might have an eternal resting place. In the middle of the cemetery, there are thirteen steps that lead to nowhere. Called the thirteen steps to hell, it is said that once a person walks downs these stairs, they perish instantly. Others, who have barely made it out alive, have reported seeing their spirit in hell at the bottom of the steps. It is reported that one man ran across the cemetery and was scared so badly, that he was never seen again.

And no laughing at me people cause i have never told anyone about the creatures in the back woods mostly cause for a long time i felt they would send me away because i was crazy or something...

A Classic and totally scary tale:
Candle Cove A true conversation on the internet. Found on Creepypasta.com
NetNostalgia Forum - Television (local)
Skyshale033 Subject: Candle Cove local kid’s show? Does anyone remember this kid’s show? It was called Candle Cove and I must have been 6 or 7. I never found reference to it anywhere so I think it was on a local station around 1971 or 1972. I lived in Ironton at the time. I don’t remember which station, but I do remember it was on at a weird time, like 4:00 PM.
mike_painter65 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? it seems really familiar to me…..i grew up outside of ashland and was 9 yrs old in 72. candle cove…was it about pirates? i remember a pirate marionete at the mouth of a cave talking to a little girl
Skyshale033 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? YES! Okay I’m not crazy! I remember Pirate Percy. I was always kind of scared of him. He looked like he was built from parts of other dolls, real low-budget. His head was an old porcelain baby doll, looked like an antique that didn’t belong on the body. I don’t remember what station this was! I don’t think it was WTSF though.
Jaren_2005 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? Sorry to ressurect this old thread but I know exactly what show you mean, Skyshale. I think Candle Cove ran for only a couple months in ‘71, not ‘72. I was 12 and I watched it a few times with my brother. It was channel 58, whatever station that was. My mom would let me switch to it after the news. Let me see what I remember.
It took place in Candle cove, and it was about a little girl who imagined herself to be friends with pirates. The pirate ship was called the Laughingstock, and Pirate Percy wasn’t a very good pirate because he got scared too easily. And there was calliope music constantly playing. Don’t remember the girl’s name. Janice or Jade or something. Think it was Janice.
Skyshale033 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? Thank you Jaren!!! Memories flooded back when you mentioned the Laughingstock and channel 58. I remember the bow of the ship was a wooden smiling face, with the lower jaw submerged. It looked like it was swallowing the sea and it had that awful Ed Wynn voice and laugh. I especially remember how jarring it was when they switched from the wooden/plastic model, to the foam puppet version of the head that talked.
mike_painter65 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? ha ha i remember now too. do you remember this part skyshale: “you have…to go…INSIDE.”
Skyshale033 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? Ugh mike, I got a chill reading that. Yes I remember. That’s what the ship always told Percy when there was a spooky place he had to go in, like a cave or a dark room where the treasure was. And the camera would push in on Laughingstock’s face with each pause. YOU HAVE… TO GO… INSIDE. With his two eyes askew and that flopping foam jaw and the fishing line that opened and closed it. Ugh. It just looked so cheap and awful.
You guys remember the villain? He had a face that was just a handlebar mustache above really tall, narrow teeth.
kevin_hart Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? i honestly, honestly thought the villain was pirate percy. i was about 5 when this show was on. nightmare fuel.
Jaren_2005 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? That wasn’t the villain, the puppet with the mustache. That was the villain’s sidekick, Horace Horrible. He had a monocle too, but it was on top of the mustache. I used to think that meant he had only one eye.
But yeah, the villain was another marionette. The Skin-Taker. I can’t believe what they let us watch back then.
kevin_hart Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? jesus h. christ, the skin taker. what kind of a kids show were we watching? i seriously could not look at the screen when the skin taker showed up. he just descended out of nowhere on his strings, just a dirty skeleton wearing that brown top hat and cape. and his glass eyes that were too big for his skull. christ almighty.
Skyshale033 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? Wasn’t his top hat and cloak all sewn up crazily? Was that supposed to be children’s skin??
mike_painter65 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? yeah i think so. rememer his mouth didn’t open and close, his jaw just slid back and foth. i remember the little girl said “why does your mouth move like that” and the skin-taker didn’t look at the girl but at the camera and said “TO GRIND YOUR SKIN”
Skyshale033 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? I’m so relieved that other people remember this terrible show!
I used to have this awful memory, a bad dream I had where the opening jingle ended, the show faded in from black, and all the characters were there, but the camera was just cutting to each of their faces, and they were just screaming, and the puppets and marionettes were flailing spastically, and just all screaming, screaming. The girl was just moaning and crying like she had been through hours of this. I woke up many times from that nightmare. I used to wet the bed when I had it.
kevin_hart Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? i don’t think that was a dream. i remember that. i remember that was an episode.
Skyshale033 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? No no no, not possible. There was no plot or anything, I mean literally just standing in place crying and screaming for the whole show.
kevin_hart Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? maybe i’m manufacturing the memory because you said that, but i swear to god i remember seeing what you described. they just screamed.
Jaren_2005 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? Oh God. Yes. The little girl, Janice, I remember seeing her shake. And the Skin-Taker screaming through his gnashing teeth, his jaw careening so wildly I thought it would come off its wire hinges. I turned it off and it was the last time I watched. I ran to tell my brother and we didn’t have the courage to turn it back on.
mike_painter65 Subject: Re: Candle Cove local kid’s show? i visited my mom today at the nursing home. i asked her about when i was littel in the early 70s, when i was 8 or 9 and if she remebered a kid’s show, candle cove. she said she was suprised i could remember that and i asked why, and she said “because i used to think it was so strange that you said ‘i’m gona go watch candle cove now mom’ and then you would tune the tv to static and juts watch dead air for 30 minutes. you had a big imagination with your little pirate show.” http://www.ichorfalls.com/2010/05/03/your-aunt-and-i/

The scariest thing that ever happened to me happened when I was 8 and had just convinced my parents to make give my brother his own room. Now, the two important things to understand before I tell this story are : 1)I was afraid of the dark, so I kept the hall light on all night and my door open 2)I could see the stairs that led to the main floor very clearly from my bed when the door was open.
Now, as I was saying, I had just gotten my brother to sleep in a different room for the first time ever, so I was a little scared. I had just woken up from a bad sleep and was a little groggy, so I sat up and started counting (a trick of my dad's to fall back asleep). I look out the door and see my mom going downstairs. Being 8, I decide to tell her I can't sleep, so I call her. She doesn't answer and goes right down the stairs, so I follow her. She goes around the corner at the bottom of the stairs (still not answering me) and, still following, I look. She isn't there. All the lights downstairs are off. The whole main floor is, presumably, empty. So I run to my parent's room to ask my dad what is going on, and there is my mum, sleeping. I woke her up to ask why she went downstairs and she had no idea what I was talking about.
I went back to my room, very scared and trying to fall back asleep, so I start counting. I look out the door again, and see my mum coming back up the stairs, then she looks at me. I just closed my eyes and couldn't open them for the rest of the night. It is still the most unsettling thing I have ever gone through. I can't even write it without getting chills.

This happened to me personally not just another story I'm posting.
This happened shortly after my parent got divorced. I was going back and forth between houses. My mothers was an apartment and my fathers was our old house.
It started some time in the early morning in my mothers apartment. I stood up all night on the internet like usual and I was going to get a drink before retiring to bed, as is my ritual. I left my room and started down the hall toward the dinning area. I was tired and rubbing the sleep in my eyes. As if it was all in the norm I stopped in my tracks as if I almost bumped into some one while not looking, only missing colliding with them. I said oh sorry and went around to the opposite side of the hall as to not get in their way. I got to the kitchen before realizing that I just reacted to bumping into no one.
A little creeped out now and much more awake I was wondering why I did that if no one was there. Thirst quenched I started back to my room when out of the pitch black darkness I could barely make out a silhouette, an outline of someone standing no more then 2 feet in front of me. This time I flipped out I reacted as if say a friend popped up behind you in attempts to scare you. I spun around and flung my arms wildly, final resting into a half assed martial art pose. I was ready to kick the a** of my very dark friend. Breathing heavily I stood ready to defend my self, the silhouette faded into the darkness and I could rest.
I was of course bothered but soon forgot about my encounter. After that night I went back to my fathers. After a few uneventful days I returned and had told the story to my mother and new step father. My step father was silent for a few minutes and then told me of a dream he had while I was at my fathers.
He was having trouble sleeping, tossing and turning. When he finally began to dose off he woke up from being shook. Someone was shaking him the way you would wake up a sibling, rocking back and forth. He tried batting at the hands rocking and grunted in refusal to wake. The rocking continued until he rolled over to look at his waker and asked them what they wanted. He said the person looked like an older woman, tall with shorter gray hair, she was in nice clothes that looked several decades old, maybe 40's or 50's style. She bent down to speak with him and said "Where's Robert?" (My real first name) He asked her "What?", still groggy and half asleep. Again she repeated "Where's Robert? Where's Robert?) She just started saying that over and over, saying nothing else. As my step father woke up more he focused more on her and she disappeared and stopped asking where I was. Very confused he went to back to sleep. Though she never told him her name he said he wanted to call her "Mary"

Tales of My Childhood Insainities #1
When I was very young, 3-7, I had some crazy s**t happen to me. Most of it happened at my dad's first house. Especially when He and mom were married.
This is tale #1.
I was in my room, i was probably 3 or 4 at the time, and it was late. VERY late. My parents were in bed, and ive just woke up from a dream....i think....i dont remember much before this thing happened. Anyway....
I was about to sleep when...I heard something breathing under my bed...
I didnt move, afraid to disturb whatever was there....I didnt say a word, not wanting to wake it. (My hypothesis was that it was asleep sence i felt nothing moving.) I layed down, the whole night, listening to the breathing, until i waas so tired, that my conciousness shut off.
The next morning, there was no more breathing. I was so terrified that i stayed in bed, afraid that if i stepped on the floor, the creature would grab me. For pratically the whole morning, i waited for my mom to come in. I was terrified to go in my room for days....but i never heard the breathing again.
Many other childhood terrors followed and were before this...
I was very sure that my room was haunted....until other things started happening in other places.
Now i just think that I'm insane.
