I've found some Remake Pictures they look really good too!
They were used as a preview of how good Square-Enix can make their graphics look, They were taken from a Trailer which then was decided to make the Advent Children from....
The Final Fantasy VII technical demo is a short video clip created by Square Enix to illustrate the technical capabilities of Sony's upcoming PlayStation 3. The clip is a real-time recreation of the opening sequence of the 1997 role playing game Final Fantasy VII. It was first shown to the public at the 2005 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).
Complete game remake:
With the release of the demo, many fans began to speculate that Square Enix might be producing an enhanced remake of the entire game for Sony's new console. The producers of the demo have denied that the sequence was ever intended as anything more than a brief technical showcase, similar to the SGI demo produced using characters from Final Fantasy VI and the PlayStation 2 technical demo of the dance scene in Final Fantasy VIII.

Aerith Gainsborough on the PlayStation 3:

Cloud Strife on the Playstation 3:

As a hint, one thing I can say is that the Final Fantasy VII technical PS3 demo was supervised by me and created by [Motomu] Toriyama-san [director of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2] and his team staff. I'll leave it to you, but you can imagine that development is happening via a similar process.
Square Enix has repeatedly denied that any remake is in progress, further saying (in an interview with Yoshinori Kitase) that such a remake would require a team of 300 people working on it for a full five years (Such a remake may end up being moved to an eight-generation console such as PS4). He also stated that he would want Tetsuya Nomura to head up any such remake team, and Nomura is currently tied up with both Kingdom Hearts II and the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII.
However, even if the demo is not a prelude to a remake of the complete game, it can be seen as a firm demonstration as to what the graphics for the next generation Final Fantasy game may be like.
I hope this has answered some questions.
