Night shuffled the deck he was currently playing with and spread the cards out on the table, there laid in front of him was the Jack, Ace, 2, 6 and lastly a 5. What a random mix of cards! It was always fun to see what his FEAR was capable with. While he had put up a invite for people to come play poker, he was currently infusing a random deck of cards with his bad luck mojo. Of course he wouldn't use them during the actual game, it was his way of cleaning himself out so that when/if they did play, he wouldn't be a factor on the game. After he felt the rest of what he considered his black luck fade into the cards, he set them back in the box, sealing the box tight and threw it into his room, of which of course he heard it land and then the loud crash of something or other falling down.
His too luck cats ran out of the room and to his side. Denizen and Benz curled contently at his feet, wary of his room as he pulled out a fresh deck of cards and shuffled them in his hands again.
"Nothing like a game of chance eh boys?" Night said to his only two companions right now as he waited for anyone to join.

Hearing word of a Poker night in the ghost dorms, Jericho didn't take much time to think on whether he wanted to go. He had finished his work, so a little gaming sounded very appealing at the moment. Not to mention that it was a much better game than say... spin the bottle in his opinion. Poker still wasn't his favorite game by any means, but it wasn't too bad. It would be better if dice were involved though. From the sounds of things, there would be betting here as well, which meant he could easily add to his treasure pile. Of course, he could lose as well... which would make for a very unhappy dragon at the end of the night.
He brought a bag filled with some of his treasures to use as betting material. The best things were left in his room, but he really would hate to part with any of these things. For games like these, there wasn't any fun if there was no risk, though. Which was why he was willing to put some of his treasure on the line. If he was careful, and perhaps lucky, he won't lose a single gold coin tonight.
Making his way through the mausoleum of a dorm, he went on to pinpoint the exact room he needed to be in. Once outside of the black cat's room, he went on and knocked, wondering if any others had shown up yet.

Westus wouldn't have even given the cryptic little note a second glance if he hadn't recognized the name printed on it. Nightengale XIII? Wasn't that the kid who kept exalting the virtues of cat people all over his Groanspring? The wrath demon didn't agree with his views, but he had to admit the ghost was persistent. Probably gullible too. West didn't need the money, but the chance to watch some other poor sap go broke and possibly start a fist fight was far too tempting. He had to get his kicks someplace.
And then there was the matter of Belladonna. Yaya had informed him that the chipper ghoul wanted to attend as well, and he had... offered... to accompany her. The fact that he had been willing to do so had absolutely nothing to do with the other demon's mark on his back or the fact that she could cash it in at any time. Nope. Nothing.
He stood outside the ghost dorms, alternately peering at his watch and off into the night, waiting for the reaper to arrive so he could walk her in.

Israfel loved events, more then that, he loved an excuse to drink. And Party. Party all the time. Party all the time while playing poker? Sounded like his kind of party. Gathering some of his...precious knickknacks as well as a few of his less then amazing pets. And booze. He always brought the booze, Israfel hopped and bobbed his way over to the ghost dorms, mindful to keep his betting items under wraps. What he first noticed was how cold it was. He knew it was cold but really?
This was chilly.
Puffing up in a poof of feathers only to shivver them into place, the siren navigated his way around the building, attempting to look as natural as possible. Quite hard when you were 'alive' and the dorm's residents were...not. Looking at the note he'd scribbled for himself the Siren turned corner and- "Jericho?" It was a peep of recognition as Israfel skipped over. Skipped. Really, he was a poor monster sometimes. "Are you here for poker night too?"

With no answer at the door yet, Jericho wondered if he had the wrong room. He was about to try knocking again when a familiar voice called to his attention. Rubbing his arms a bit, he saw the Siren standing there before... he skipped over to him? Was Israfel already drunk? Then again the dragon didn't have many encounters with him where he wasn't so he didn't know what was normal and what wasn't for the guy.
"That I am," he nodded before glancing at the stuff the Siren had brought. He couldn't see what they were exactly, but the fact that he had brought something was promising.
"Do you know if anyone else is coming?" he asked. In the back of his mind, he made a note to not ever visit the undead dorms if he could help it. That building was probably 3 times chillier than this one and the ghost dorm was already fairly cool.

"P-p-p-poker face, p-p-poker face!!" Belladonna couldn't help but sing the Lady Gaga song she was so infatuated with, and since she was absolutely, 100-and-10 percent positive that Lady Gaga was a monster hiding in the human world, she felt no one drop of shame over singing to herself on the way to Poker Night. The fact that the invitation had been sent by someone she didn't know was less a concern than what she was going to wear. After all, she had to plan accordingly. If there were cute boils there she needed to look, but if they happened to break out into strip poker she would need plenty of layers to keep herself through a few rounds (the witch was notoriously bad in her family when it came to card games). So in the end she went with a normal dress complete with at least 3 layers and an additional hoopskirt. That should last her at least two rounds because it took so long to get off.
"Westus!" The witch was happily surprised to see the wrath demon waiting for her outside the ghost dorms, especially since Yaya had mentioned him picking her up beforehand but when Belladonna had exited her dorm he was no where in sight. It didn't much matter as she just wanted someone to talk to in case she didn't know anyone else, and so far she liked him. He was nice and she couldn't understand why he was a wrath demon. He even had expressed interest in getting a nice suit!
"You ready for my poker face?" She asked with a bounce as she linked her arm in his, pouting and furrowing her eyebrows in a very poor imitation of 'can't read mah face'.

Night ears twitch as he heard the faint sound of knocking on the dorm rooms before getting up and deserting his two cats to start welcoming potential victims...guest..Guest victims. It was only a walk's away as he opened the door to let people in.
"Yo! Welcome to the Ghost dorms." Night cocked his head at the two outside and the larger one farther away, his eyes slitted in the dark to see who was farther out and was excited to see West, the large...angry...red...demon? He really wanted to see this kid in action. Turning back to look at the other two, he recognized the Siren from Christmas town, hadn't he rubbed up on him because he was like a bird?, though he couldn't remember his name and a dragon boy, who also looked familiar, he was sure he was from the train to Christmas town as well.
"Come on in if your coming in." Night cocked his head as he slipped past and ushered them in to the table. "I'm Nightengale XIII, I'll be your dealer for tonight. Though we probably won't start until a few more people arrive." He cocked his head at the two before smiling, "How you feel about your luck tonight boys?" Night stared at the bottle in Israfel's hands and chuckled. Oh it was going to be a weird night in the ghost room.

Tybalt yawned as he entered the ghost dorms again. Normally he would be fast asleep at this time of night, but Umbra needed to go out for some... Nightly 'business'... And a dog being a dog, he just knew she wouldn't simply wait until morning. It would either be whining all night, while pawing at the door, or leaving a very unfriendly stench in the middle of the floor. Yeah... Walk it was. Well at least Umbra was happy...
Feeling another yawn creeping up on him, he began to make his way back to his room when he heard voices. Several in fact and none, except maybe one or two sounded like they belonged to this dorm. Uhhh... What was going on now? Curious. He crept down the hall until he came to the main living area, where he figured the source of the voices were coming from. Though even after finding them, he was still unsure of what was going on, as he peered around the corner to get a look.
Seriously... What were they doing? Something with cards? Well whatever. He'd just go back to bed and slee---Where was Umbra? Unfortunately, Umbra had different plans, and instead of heading back to the dorm rooms like a good dog, the Cu Sith, wandered right on into the room with the group of students. Practically demanding attention as she did so. "Umbra---hey! No! Wait! Come back heeere!" He hissed quietly.

This was going to be a long night. A long night full of cheerful, saccharine... oh look, it was Jericho. Well, wasn't that nice? West wrestled his gag reflex to somewhere far in the back of his mind. If the dragon planned on sticking around, so would he. Jericho barely needed any prodding and his fits of anger were so delightful. West smirked down at his temporary companion. "Sur'am. I'll trynotta beatya too badly." His knowing smile persisted. Oh, he was only teas---no he wasn't. Everyone at this game was going down Down. Dowwwnnnn!
"Nice dorm ya got here," he said to Night as he patted Belladonna's hand, letting her know she could, you know, let him go any time she felt like now that they were here. His pockets jingled with a couple of trinkets that meant nothing to him personally, but he had planned on buying his way into the game with cash. "An' myluck's jus' fine. How muchya want t'start?"
Wait... was that a dog? Had people brought pets to bet with or was this kid just passing through? Perk and pets. Great.

Earwing to earwing the siren smiled. Like a trick or treater in a rich part of town where they gave out the one dollar candy bars. he was smiling like that. A rather silly grin, one who hadn't a care in the world. "Nope, Just me. And my stuff. And the good kind of stuff!" Cheeks glowed as he held up the bottle. Pumpkin Jack Danies. Good stuff.
As the boil opened the door, the smile of the siren grew impossibly wide. All he could think was 'YAY KITTY' like a mental patient with ADHD. Puffing up again from both excitement and the cold. Wings fluttered out and proved the Siren's connection with birds as he made a small peeping noise. Sliding into the room Israfel had to hold back from wanting to teach out and pet the cats who seemed keen on being near a pair of dice. The night got brighter as the red demon..Wes? Wesum? Whest? Whurts. West! West and Belladonna! "Bella! Hi! Oh jack are you-" A sly smile. "You always had good taste."
And then it came into the room. A Cu Sith. It was large. It was fluffy. It was most of the things Israfel liked. "Aw!" Ear scratches? Found.

Night snorted at West and jabbed a thumb over at the table, "No bets made till we all take a seat. And of course its ladies choice of where she wants to sit first. Also thanks, Its a bit...dank for a dorm but us ghost really enjoy it." Night cocked his head at Belladonna and smiled, she was a cute ghoul indeed and he almost held back a laugh at her poker face. Not like he was one to talk since he didn't even HAVE one. Flicking his tail around, his attention turned to the siren, whose wings had suddenly burst out. Night was really tempted to touch the feathery appendages just out of cat instinct but held back. There would be a time, there would be a time. Denizen and Benz looked up at the newcomers with wide eyes before curling protectively around their dice and Night's appointed seat.
"So If everyone wants to take a seat then..." Night pulled out some of the chairs around the table before sitting down in his chair. It didn't last long though as Tybalt's prized pet came flying over and sniffing the hell out of everyone. Sliding his gaze over and landing on the owner itself, he hopped up, grabbed the ghost dog by the arm, dragged him over and plopped him down in a seat. "Your playing Tybalt." He said with a wide smile, Denizen and Benz meowed at the dog before retreating under the table.
"Well Ladies and Gents." Night placed a small gold trinket in the middle of the table before shuffling cards. "Let's get the first game started shall we?" His ears flicked forward as he dealt out the cards before up turning his two first ones.

((Are we supposed to roll now for our cards? If so I can just quote and roll. Sorry!!))
For a moment Belladonna was completely put off by the fact that West was apparently patting her arm in a fashion that meant "Oh my jacking god, you crazy witch let me go" but doing it in the nicest form possible. But she quickly rationalized that well, they didn't know each other very well so maybe she was taking a few liberties...... Naahhh. Regardless, she let him go, curtsying to the host and introducing herself before clapping her hands in glee that Israfel was here. But... he was saying something funny?
"Good taste?" She asked, completely and utterly perplexed. "Of course I have good taste............ OH. OH NO!" One hand darted to hold the hat on her head while she vehemently shook it back and forth, her face touched with the slightest of pink. "Oh... We're not... yanno... He just escorted me here." With a nervous laugh she turned her attention back to Night who was now announcing the start of their game, though she was a little disappointed she wasn't able to pet the cute minipet that had barged in. Maybe sometime during the course of the game she would be able to give it some pets...
"This seat looks fine!" She said, grateful that Night was gentlemanly enough to give her first seat pick. A seat in the very middle was chosen as it would give her enough room to wiggle around when she lost, but still be situated to talk to whoever she wanted. "Yay! This is fun!"

Seeing the booze as the Siren held it up, Jericho let out a sigh. Well, things should be getting interesting rather soon for sure. Nodding to the cat that hosted this all, he paused as he saw a few others join them. Seeing West amongst the group, he knew for sure that things would not be staying dull tonight.
Between himself and the wrath demon... and a soon-to-be-drunk-if-he-already-isn't-drunk-Siren.. something was bound to happen.
The black dog, he recognized from the human world trip. He was the one saying ominous things about detention. As for the Reaper, she seemed to be the one that challenged him to a flight race awhile back. A pretty mixed group over all it seemed.
"Don't think there's any issues with my luck tonight," he replied to Night.
Walking on in after the others, he picked out a seat, "Let's get this started."

Nearly growling with irritation, Mei found herself storming up to the ghost dorms. Not particularly a place she'd like to hang out, but this was not exactly a friendly visit. How dare he make accusations of her being afraid of getting into trouble! She would show him!
Obviously it was bait laid out by the sly feline online, and she bit. She may have even known it was a ploy all to get her into taking part of this... Poker game. But who cares! None of that mattered at the moment... All that mattered now, was proving that damned cat wrong!
Slamming the door open, Mei scanned the room for the blasted feline boil. A few students had already gathered here, including the dumbass, Tybalt. And.. OH! There he was! "OI! Night!" She moved towards the boil, weaving through any of the students between them. "Put me in the game, you b*****d!" Oh yes! She would sure show him! Though.. There was only one problem.. She had no idea on how to play this game.
