GENERAL
All pups/teens begin with 16 HP. All adults begin with 20. Indicate your current hp either at the top or bottom of your posts to keep it easy to track.
The first wolf to hit 0 hp is too tired to continue the fight and loses. Nobody gon’ die in these tournies. 8D;
Always do the appropriate roll for whatever action you plan on doing before filling your posts. Unless you’re not actually attacking, then you don’t need to – see below for what I mean.
You may only choose one method of attack per turn. No charging and then biting the crud out of someone’s ear in one go.
Every post must be at least 3 sentences long to count. This may not be an rp exactly, but even in battle there should be enough of something for an rper to conjure up that many words at least: thoughts, flinging insults, actions, etc.
A wolf does have the decision to forfeit a fight. This happens one of two ways: either they say as much to Oath for one reason or another, or you do not post for 3 days after your opponent does. You can of course ask for extensions, but I won’t go over a week before forcing an end to each match.
Sure everyone’s looking for the prize and title of champion, but try to keep in mind what the character would do. If yours would be the type to gloat if he’s looking like he’s getting an easy win, maybe for a turn or two all he does is look smug and sully their opponent’s name rather than attack. Or maybe, having been landed a critical hit upon, your wolf is getting second thoughts and cowers back for a turn to regroup. Or maybe for a turn they survey their opponent to see if maybe, OOCly, this will appease ye olde dice gods and give the luck in landing more hits. Little nuances like that will make the battle seem more realistic and make me smile~ 8D

HOW TO ATTACK
The Normal Attack
• Bite, scratch, kick, and push your way to dominance! Randomize a number between 1 and 4. A 1 indicates a miss while a 4 indicates a critical hit (which doesn’t mean anything special other than you reeeeally getting to lay it in on your opponent in your post). What the wolf actually does to do such damage is up to you: a 2 could be a n** or a scratch, a 3 may be pushing into the sand, and so on. Normal attacks are unlimited per battle.

The Charge
• Your wolf decides to throw all subtlety out the window and go all out for a headbutt! Roll three 4-sided die. The first two's sums indicate the damage done to your opponent, and the third number is the recoil damage done to yourself. For puppies and teens, the charge can only be used once per battle. Adults can do it up to three times.

The Taunt
• This isn’t just insulting your opponent; this is insulting your opponent’s mother, and possibly the likely characters she brings to her den when you’re not looking – well I hope no puppy knows stuff like that. >8| Essentially worse than a regular insult, the taunt is designed specifically to get a rise out of your opponent and make it more likely that they’ll miss on their next attack and waste their turn – assuming your taunt doesn’t back fire. Roll two 10-sided dice. If the sum is 11 or higher, your taunt works! Even if the taunt doesn’t go through, your post still has to have your wolf at least attempting to do so. If the taunt goes through, your opponent must randomize 1-5 in response, as their wolf heard the taunt and is enraged in some way. 3 or below is a missed retaliation, but 4-5 lets you make that taunter eat his or her own words with some furious attacks. A taunt can be done up to three times per battle.
