Mystery at the Zoo! ❤ ❤ ❤(Frederick K. Murrow) (Maxwell Knight)
[Late Night D<]
Frederick and Maxwell (and to skip having to have Hoji say it, but Jean and Cindy too) were outside of the zoo, waiting while Frederick picked the lock to one of the abandoned zoo's entrances. The zoo did have some open ones.. but this was far cooler! They each had flash lights and walkie talkies. While the older ones handled the flare guns, lock picking tools, multi-tools, and tasers. Since Frederick always had a messenger bag with him, he carries the first-aid kit, rope, and emergency duct tape. Just because he's not allowed to start his own Paranormal Investigation business on this island, didn't mean he couldn't bring his friend to go investigate for ghosts! Not just any ghosts, but ANIMAL ghosts! The most scary ghosts of all.
Joining them were the two eight year olds, who would be considered the junior investigators. "Alright, I downloaded a map of the zoo, and will hand it to the kids once I get this open..." Frederick said, as he continued to fail.. so Maxwell just pulled the handle and let it open itself. "Erm. Alright..." He said, feeling like an idiot. Frederick now reached into his bag, for the maps. "Our first place of investigation will be the reptile house. It's not far from here.. tomorrow night, we will check the zombie birds." He added, as he handed out the maps.

Jean Philip was very excited for the ghost hunt, he had been on a few but it was mostly just in his basement,..Or his friends basement. Once at a cemetery...but that scared them too much and they ended up just leaving before anything actually happened. He took a deep breath feeling..well pretty scared actually. Ghost reptiles?! How horrible would that be... or what if there were ghost people! Who got eaten by the snakes and stuff...Plus..what if..there was the most terrifying of them all..Ghost children he stared down at the small blond girl in fear, the laugh of a child sent chills up his spine...Cindy looked up at Jean Philip and frowned, he seemed more scared than she did...
Jean Philip was holding onto his freshly bought new Full Spectrum Digital Camera . It was suppose to be good for ghost hunting! He also had his special K-II EMF Meter. He had been preparing for ghost hunting forever! He switched it on and pulled headphones on and plugged them into his recorder. "Lets us do this!" He said and walked in with his microphone out and his camera ready.

 What a disgustingly horrible night. What disgustingly, nauseating, dehumanizing, disastrous, terrifying night. And it all started with one stupid letter! Who would have thought that just having his daughter play with another kid and talking to that kids guardian during a little outing would end up into a kidnapping scene. It was that ladies fault? No she was nice, besides this seemed to be about her. But why was he dragged in? All he did was be civil. Reed couldn't really straighten out anything that had been happening this night. All he knew was that he had to show up to some Zoo. One that he couldn't even find on a normal day let alone the middle of the night. He must have looked like a crazy person asking all those people directions to an abandon zoo. But that didn't matter, Reed found his way anyway and could see the zoo in sight. He took one last long, long, long drag on a fresh cigarette, burning it to the butt. And when he stepped foot into the place, he exhaled it all out. Cigarettes helped calm his nerves. Plus he wasn't going to let anything bad happen. He was hoping to just be able to talk his way out of it. He was a pacifist now after all. Enter the zoo gave him an anxious feeling. So much so that he wanted to immediately smoke again, even though he had just gone through half a pack of cigarettes on the way here. And the anxiety only grew when he saw a figure standing not to far from him. They were tall so it seemed like a dangerous person. However when he got a better look, it was the women from before. No surprise, I mean this was about her after all. With a deep breath he inched closer to the woman, "So your here too, little lady?"

As he arived at the Zoo, he immediately noticed Reed. He didn't, however, noticed Shinju who was behind him. The blacksmith had to stop himself from rushing toward at the man and kill them on the spot. He might have been angry, but he was still the same old Yoakim. If he could deal with all that without having to kill anyone, he would do it. If not... well too bad. "So, you're the one who took my girl away from me? You better have some serious explaination." He yelled at Reed as he was getting closer, waving his hammer around.

"Reed?" Shinju was startled. It couldn't be Reed, they just met! He didn't seem like the type of person who would harass a person like that. She was confused. "Wait, what are you doing here...?" she asked, but there wasn't much time for an answer. Thankfully, she didn't have to wonder if he was the one who had left the letters for long, because soon another man approached, yelling and swinging a... was that a hammer? Why the hell was he holding a hammer? ...She wouldn't be able to defend herself against a hammer.
That's when she recognized him. Her stalker was Yoakim? She knew him, she had voted for him at the Goddess festival her first year, he was Wilhelm's father. Wait, wasn't he married? Oh god, she was being stalked by a married man? And why was he calling her 'his girl'? And saying Reed took her away? She was confused. "Hey! Hey hey hey! Stop this! What are you doing?" she yelled at Yoakim, stepping out next to Reed while watching the sledgehammer nervously. He was just swinging it around, but get too close to that, and it was dangerous!

Reed didn't really have a chance to reply back to Shinju when she first noticed him. Well to tell the truth, Reed didn't really have a chance to do anything. Before he knew it he was being yelled at by a guy with a... A hammer? Seriously? A hammer? And what's worse this really was going to be a duel? Reed clenched his fists. He was getting... Excited? It had been awhile since he was in a fighting situation. So it really got his blood pump-
Wait, this wasn't what he was here for. Well actually it was, but he wasn't here to fight. He took a cigarette out of his pocket and lit it, taking a long drag from it. After he exhaled he could feel himself calm down. Okay, it was time to figure a way out of this. Hopefully he could get Shinju out of this mess, but way more importantly, Reed had to get Erika back. He removed the cigarette from his mouth and put his other arm in front of Shinju to keep her back. "Look buddy, I don't know what you mean by 'taking your girl', but I ain't here to fight" He told the hammer wielding foe calmly, "And as for your... -cough- Tool there, why don't you just put it down so we can have a little chat."

"Hey.... Yoakim..." She was bad with names, it took her a moment to remember exactly what it was and how to pronounce it, especially with how overwhelmed she was at the moment. "Reed didn't take anyone away, least of all me. We just spoke while his daughter played with Peter. You know Peter, right? My nephew? He's good friends with Wilhelm." She smiled, albeit nervously beyond belief. She just needed to get him to put down the hammer and leave Reed alone. She wasn't sure why he was singled out, but he was in more danger than herself. Maybe she could distract him, he'd forget about it. Oh, her heart was pounding.

Reed listened as the two others talked. Aggravated a bit by the fact that a hammer was being waved in his face. Aggravated by the fact that he was being accused of something he didn't even remotely. Aggravated that all this was happening in the first week moving to this town. Aggravated that... "Look you crazy son of a b***h, I got no idea what the hell your talking about, but you got my daughter and I ain't leaving without her!"
All the blood in Reed's body was pumping hard, fast, and right up to his head. He didn't have time be thinking about a calm way to get out of this situation. His daughter was taken, and now his acquaintance was being threatened by this... Lunatic. And while he knew what he just said was undermining what Shinju was trying to do, keeping the situation calm. How could Reed stay calm? He took one more drag from the cigarette to calm himself again and then dropped it on the floor, putting it out with his foot. He exhaled and seemed to gain his composure back a bit, "Now I'm only gonna' ask once, put down the hammer, leave this nice little lady alone, and gimme' back my girl. I'm a pacifist alright? I ain't really all for the violence thing."

Yoakim's face went from both Shinju to Reed, listening to them, trying to understand what they were saying. They weren't making any sense! Seriously, that man was even more ******** up than he first imagine! "What the ******** are you talking about? I don't give a damn about Shinju! No offence. Why would I have anything to do with her, she's the aunt of my son's best friend!" Of course he knew Peter, with all the talk Wilhelm did at him about that boy. It was sometime a bit creeepily obsessive, but concidering Peter and Muse where the only two kids on the island the age off his son.. Oh right, back to reality. "You are so no making sense man! I'm not putting down my hammer until you give my daughter back! She's not yours, whatever your creepy ******** up imagination made you think!" Seriously, just who came and kidnapped a child, sent you a letter telling about it, then claim their were their's. Unless that man was Kip? No, he didn't look anything like what Ellie had described to him.

"Huh? He kidnapped your daughter?" Shinju was floored. She had thought Yoakim was such a nice man, not the type to kidnap children! She almost didn't know what to think, except that Peter wasn't allowed to play with Wilhelm anymore. She was just about to turn to yell at Yoakim for being a terrible person and kidnapping Erika just because she had spoken to Reed, when Yoakim spoke. ....He didn't care? Wait, that sounded like...
"Wait, are you saying that you aren't the person who has been stalking me?" Shinju asked, stepping in front of Reed to look at Yoakim with bewildered confusion. What the hell was going on? "Leaving flowers and anonymous letters and creepy-a** photos in my mailbox?" She glanced at Reed. So his daughter had been kidnapped by someone completely different? "What are you doing here, then?" Wait, didn't he say that Reed had taken his daughter? Two children had been kidnapped? What the hell was going on?

Wait... What? What the hell was happening? Did this guy have Erika or not? Reed became anxious again, his foot smacking the ground over and over again as he tried to figure out what was going on. This guy wasn't the one who left the letter in his mailbox? More importantly he didn't seem like the guy who put it in Shinju's either. So that meant.... What did that mean? "Arrrghhh, This is pissin' me off" Reed spoke flicking another cigarette into his mouth and lighting it. Probably his 10th one in the last hour. So if this guy didn't have Erika, and Reed didn't have his daughter... And if Shinju wasn't being stalked by this guy, then why were they all here? A set-up? But, then why was Reed still involved? Let alone this guy with the hammer. Shinju didn't even seem to remember his name. How he would be involved was beyond Reed. However, he decided to wait for the man's answer to Shinju's question. He didn't want to jump to a conclusion just yet.

But then, things went even more confusing! Oh, what a wonderful day this had been. He should have just slept through it or something. "Uh? Why... Why would I be stalking you? Or give you flowers? No offence, but I'm married and I like my wife. I don't need to be courting anyone else..." Yes, she was pretty, but he wouldn't have left Ellie for her. He had already done somethign liek that once, didn't want to make an habit out of it. "And I came here because he took Rune away, then left me a letter saying that if I wanted to get her again, I had to come here and fight him! So I'm here and I'm more ready to fight him to get my daughter back! No clue what his kick is, asking people to beat him up like that, but dammit, I'll do it."
