Now in theory I should be level 2. My Charisma DC is therefore My rolls will also have -1 applied to them.

10 + -1 = 9. However. I'll keep it at 11 just to be on the safe side. Here's my first post to start it off. Oh before i get going. This is experimental and my moral compass is being skewed as I'm trying to learn other things and this happened to help a lot. The first post is definitely 110% legitimate...but I do need the results of the dice roll to test... so... here we go.

Utemaro stood, looking out from an otherwise empty stage to an even
emptier hall. He was here to practice his skills and attain a much better
presence. Utemaro planned to do this by learning how to play or perform in
front of people in order to gain confidence in himself and therefore he would
be more confident in front of other people. He'd brough his flute as well,
something he was already good at.

Taking his flute he brought it to his lips and began to play a soft,
slow melody, that flourished into a magnificent crescendo before ending in
a playful flourish. Of course it wasn't a particularly good tune but it was
something he was hoping would impress even a little. Utemaro understood that
he'd have to practice more and continue his work to be able to wow a crowd.

He felt that he was getting better even though his playing wasn't
as skilled as others and he knew that he was getting better at what he was
doing.

1 Failure
Utemaro didn't play his flute as often as he should, but now he was taking all the time in the world to at least practice. He might not ever play to anyone in the world, but he could play here and just imagine that he was playing to other people. Perhaps someone might even overhear? Maybe they'd enjoy his playing, lucky for them. Horrible. It was the only way to describe that last song. Maybe he should clean his instrument for it had squeaked so badly in some of the worst moments.
Every time Utemaro practised, he found himself growing in confidence, yes, but he also felt a sense of dread. The more he practiced the better he'd become and then people would ask him to perform, could he really do that?
Regardless Utemaro looked over his flute and adjust it a little, cleaned it where it needed and then began to play a tune upon it. As the playing began the tune emerged into a calming piece, atmospheric in nature. The song develops into a slow steady beat emanating a sense of security and durability yet also reflecting how Utemaro felt about his previous song.
The climax draws ever closer and the song begins to rise into a crescendo, depicting and melody both epic and meaningful.
With the final note played, Utemaro's eyes close as he concentrates, the flow of air slowing and tune fading, disappearing into a final end.
That song had been really good, the tune had evolved and it had brought ideas to him that he hadn't really thought about before. Idea's that he would later put to practice.

Playing a flute always inspired him, it wasn't quite like writing a book where creativity was everything and foreplanning was the limit of how great your story could become. Music was something entirely different, he could just play and play and it really wouldn't matter what came from his heart. He had to work harder if he wanted to actually get somewhere in life. That last failure had knocked his confidence a little.

Utemaro was enjoying his practice so far, inwardly he felt energetic to get on with more.

Regardless Utemaro looked over his flute and adjust it a little, cleaned it where it needed and then began to play a tune upon it. Slowly the song played, with a low and dragging tune. It had all the makings of funeral dirge and yet wasn't. Moody and depressing it went on as if it had all the world on its shoulders The song develops into a slow steady beat emanating a sense of security and durability yet also reflecting how Utemaro felt about his previous song.
Oddly the song begins to take an odd turn, instead of growing into a higher, more powerful song it instead descends, changing its pattern into a slow, powerful harmony that reverberates throughout the hall.

Suddenly the tune stops and there is an almost offsetting silence before the final sequence of notes begin and end on a fade.

That last song hadn't played so well, but he'd worked harder on this song. Even though he was only playing it for the first time, like every song so far it had come from the heart and he had really put his all into it.

Having a great time thus far, Utemaro considered for the moment taking a break, but no, he wanted to get on with this session.

The feeling that he could have played a little better definitely played on his mind. If he could have just worked it a little more maybe just maybe. Or perhaps he was deluding himself. His confidence slipped a little as he realised that for all his practice he was still making some rather familiar mistakes.

Utemaro felt really good after putting in that amount of effort, he'd tried really hard to make the song evolve into something beautiful. Truly though he hoped it was better than that last song he'd played.

Sometimes one might think that performing to no one is quite easy, but then, some say that performing to others is easier. Utemaro though thought like neither of these people. Instead he considered the world differently, he liked to think that no one really took much notice of him and that he could get away with quite a lot provided he didn't attract any attention. Playing his flute by himself was one of those things, even if he was in a place he wasn't quite supposed to be. His posture sank as he realised that his playing had been truly pathetic. Yet he had to keep practicing otherwise he wasn't going to get anywhere.

He was starting to feel negatively about his playing. It didn't really seem to be going anywhere and he wondered whether he was just practicing against a dead end.

Regardless Utemaro looked over his flute and adjust it a little, cleaned it where it needed and then began to play a tune upon it. The large beats followed by a shorter rhythm and the consistent tempo emerged as the song became something to walk to. A march beat of sorts. The song develops into a slow steady beat emanating a sense of security and durability yet also reflecting how Utemaro felt about his previous song.
The climax draws ever closer and the song begins to rise into a crescendo, depicting and melody both epic and meaningful.

As the tune flows, the climax over, there's a sudden, sharp note that announces the almost overdue end.

Some days were like others, you went through the motions and sang the same old songs, all day long. Even still, he'd been really surprised by that one and he'd really enjoyed playing it. Maybe he should have written it down?

Standing there on the stage, playing to no one really gave Utemaro a sense of perspective. Of course there could have been lots of people in there but that would have detracted from the moment. It was just him and a wide open space and he could play comfortably without fear or reprimand. Utemaro didn't like how his last song played out. Using his imagination was definitely harder than it was to say to improvise.

To be honest, Utemaro was reluctant to continue playing, his last song was okay, but it didn't really inspire him to continue that much.

Playing his flute by himself was one of those things, even if he was in a place he wasn't quite supposed to be. For the moment, Utemaro was happy that he had done well in his accomplishments thus far.

It wasn't that he was enjoying his practice or learning new things. Utemaro was thoroughly enjoying just playing and performing even though to a crowd of none for the moment.

Regardless Utemaro looked over his flute and adjust it a little, cleaned it where it needed and then began to play a tune upon it. Dramatically the song begins, twists and turns and a symphony emerges that for one instrument is remarkable to pull off. The tempo of the tune becomes faster and develops in vibrancy. It begins to really lift the mood of the song.
Oddly the song begins to take an odd turn, instead of growing into a higher, more powerful song it instead descends, changing its pattern into a slow, powerful harmony that reverberates throughout the hall.

As the final verse draws to a close, Utemaro repeats it for emphasis that the song is winding down and ends in a unique yet skillful play of the keys.

Wow. That was spectacular. Utemaro stared at his flute in utter amazement, he wasn't even sure how his flute could play something that badly without trying to throttle him.

From time to time Utemaro liked to take a small rest before contemplating his next move. He did this now before playing his next song after all, he wanted to think about things first, take in the surroundings as well. It just didn't feel like a song. Sometimes you know when a song is coming together, but that last one, Utemaro didn't have that feeling

The last song had reminded him of something when he was younger. It hadn't really been a pleasant time and it saddened him a little.

Regardless Utemaro looked over his flute and adjust it a little, cleaned it where it needed and then began to play a tune upon it. The tune begins and it turns out to be quite a tune, happy and upbeat. The song develops into a slow steady beat emanating a sense of security and durability yet also reflecting how Utemaro felt about his previous song.
The climax draws ever closer and the song begins to rise into a crescendo, depicting and melody both epic and meaningful.

Finally the song finishes with a flourish, that wouldn't be out of place on the spring festival.

Finally putting his flute down Utemaro reflected on his performance. It had been quite a good song that song, he liked how his song had changed and developed.

Playing his flute by himself was one of those things, even if he was in a place he wasn't quite supposed to be. It wasn't quite what he'd had in mind, some of the notes were askew and he thought that the playing itself was unskillful.

Sullenly he looked at the flute. Sometimes it was better to quit while you're ahead, yet even still.

Twisting and turning the song begins to really ramp up with a series of ever faster, ever more exciting phrases builds up into a dramatic yet exceedingly happy climax.

Finally the song finishes with a flourish, that wouldn't be out of place on the spring festival.

Brilliant, absolutely amazing. At least thats how he summed up that attempt. He tried as hard as he could, everything he'd learned so far he'd tried to put into that song. He only hopef that he hadn't spoiled it by over cooking the ingredients.

For a moment Utemaro had been unsure that he'd played well, but the vibrations had been good and he felt elated, it had to be good didn't it?

Although he was only an amateur, Utemaro was keen to get on with the dedication that normally only a professional could show

Damn notes weren't coming out like they should have been and he was really starting to get annoyed now. How was he expected to develop if he couldn't even pull out a decent tune properly. Looking back, that previous attempt had been really fatal, almost like a three year old playing. He hoped this one wasn't quite so bad.

Weak. It was the only way to describe how that song had played he decided when thinking about it. Utemaro could have definitely done better, then again perhaps he could have done worse, after all he was comparing it to his last song.

Uh sometimes, songs make writers want to slit their own throats, while he wasn't quite at that stage he still didn't feel comfortable about the song he had played, it had definitely lacked something and he wasn't quite sure like the last time how to put that 'something' into the song.
