Ello, hobo here. I am in my first year of middle school, therefor, first year of changing in locker rooms for gym. I am very very self conscious, and have no self esteem. All the other girls in my school are skinny as a stick, while I am... well, lets just say I weigh a lot more than them. A LOT. I am more of... very chubby, than fat, but I do weigh a lot. So, when I am changing, I feel like... people are looking at me. Judging me. It is hard to get over, so, can any one help out?

Wear your gym clothes under your regular clothes. Then when you need to "change" all you need to do is strip off your regular clothes and you're good to go. After gym just slip back into your regular clothes. Alternatively you can wear your gym clothes all day but I've only known of one person to actually do that in my former schools.
EDIT: This also eliminates the need for getting a lock for your locker so you don't have to worry about douchebags stealing your clothes when you come back from gym.

Just don't care. I had the same problem, but after a while I just changed. If you still aren't convinced, since I'm not the best at persuasion, you can change in the stalls if there are any. I learned through my friends that it doesn't matter. Hope this helps some. (:

Don't worry. I went through the same thing [except I was more on the big-boned/muscular/manly-ish side]
I was SOO self-conscious. It felt like everyone purposefully talked about how "fat" they were around me all the time.
Long story short :: I got revenge
-.- No I don't recommend it. But trust me.
Your weight is NOT a problem. I actually find people that are bigger more attractive than skinny gross people.
SO SCREW YOU SKINNY BITCHES!!!

Find a friend in gym that you can get dressed near? It's comforting, I did it in the 8th grade. In the 7th grade I got undressed in the bathroom stalls. I don't think they can make you change in front of everyone, so just change in the bathroom if there is one.

Well, they actually won't let us dress in the bathrooms. Stupid, huh? And, I am not allowed to wear undershirts. My dad says it is a waste of laundry. -sigh- And wearing my Gym clothes under if not really an option. 1) It is way to hot over here, 2) I wear those kind-of-but-not-really skinny jeans, so it would be obvious with the super baggy shorts we have to wear. And you say that weight/size does not matter, but... I dunno. I have had only 3 boy friends, and I am constantly being called fat at home, and all the skinny girls at my school are popular and the guys love em. ><

Everyone--no matter how skinny--is as self-conscious as you are. Pay them no mind because, they won't be paying it to you.
Changing is easier than you think, if you don't want to give everyone a show. Just bring your arms inside the shirt you're already wearing, ready your PE shirt and bring it up under your regular shirt. Then change into your shorts. It's cake.

I know what you mean, I remember being nervous at the beginning of my first year in middle school too. I never really found a solution since the problem didn't last too long for me. ^^; After about a week in Gym class and I was already used to it. (Of course, having friends in a class can make just about any problem seem less embarrassing.) Don't sweat it. It's not like your the only one changing with an audience watching your every move xD. Everyone else should be too busy changing or talking to other people to worry about making fun of you.

My Suggestion, Since I Passed Through This(Since, Im Fat) Is JUST DONT CARE. Believe Me, The Girls Arent Really Looking At You. Or Like Hester Peche Said, Thats What I Used To Do, When I Was Self Concious. After A While, I Would Start Getting Nekkid Before I Entered The Gym. But Yeah, Good Luck :3

I had the almost the same problem in middle school, I was fat and over that I was the only one in class with C cups (and was only 12). So here is what worked for me. On gym day I used to wear kind of a tight T-shirt and tight shorts under my clothes, so I was never totally undressed. and no one had to see how big ma bra was or how chubby my legs were.

The guys who like the "skinny girls" are most likely just looking at their body which is not cool. Also, those skinny girls who have a lot of boyfriends wont all find their true love. Mom says all the cheerleaders she used to go to school with are fat, have like three kids, and were never married o.o

Are there showers in your locker room becouse if there are you could change in them. i get bullyed at school for stupid reasons but i try not to let it bug me. we have a fat kid in the class and he jokes around about it we kid around with him as well and like you said your chubby not fat. come see him and you will get wat i mean haha. anyway my parents always say people only bully so they can seem like they are the best and dont have any problems but deep down they probably do this becouse they want to have a better life and as much as im skinny i hate it and want to gain some weiht.
