For RP qualification: fera played by graceangel and ironforge played by jet altmeara General Location: around the outer parameter of the Moonglade herd's territory. It was late in the evening of a crisp winter evening. Fera was trotting casually back into the Moonglade settlement. She had been on a rather long scouting patrol. She had been trying to find the trail of a little usdia who had once been part of their herd. The poor thing had been gone an awful long time, and Fera was always concerned about herd members who didn't return right away. She was in her heart always a little afraid that they had been captured or killed by the evil skinwalkers. Or, while she knew Kalonas weren't quite as bad, she still didn't rather they come across those either. They were still all together a bit dangerous. Many soquili returned from those sorts of incursions with scars that were forever seen.
Before she had come to sense enough to see him walking towards her, she had been daydreaming and zoning out a little bit. She was thinking back to a time when him, her brother, and herself would all go galloping over the fields. She could almost even feel it. The threesome of them always roaming about free as birds. Those were such peaceful blissful days. Though Fera knew that she couldn't be angry with her brother. He had hte need to go join an alliance foothold. She didn't share that sense of bias. She was always rather neutral and accepting of most soquili; even if this meant they were horde. She could befriend and live with trolls, orcs, and tauren. She sometimes found the blood elven soquilis a little insufferable just due to their haughty attitudes. Fera was just a peaceful mare who wanted to have friendship.
Then, her mind drifted back to her good friend, Ironforge. She was always happy that he had been willing to go wherever with her. She still remembered them coming here as foals. He sure had grown up nicely. She had been proud of him when he had been training for guardianship. She knew that she couldn't ever aspire to that. She just didn't have the necessary toughness to be a guardian. She preferred these shorter trips of being a scout.
Finally, she came back to herself. Her face grew a smile and she stomped her hooves. What wonder is that.. That she could think of him.. and there he appears in the forest approaching her. It wasn't very often he greeted her when she returned from scouting trips.

Fera had been gone for quite some time and Ironforge had begun to worry about her just a little bit. He had begun to worry so much in fact that he had started sending Prospector the Wopletinger out to keep on eye on the pathways for signs of her return.
The little beast had been sent out and returned for several days now with no news to lighten Ironforges heart...until this evening when he had rushed back with the news Ironforge had been waiting for, begging his leave of the others and thankful that things were peaceful enough that he could be absent without to much worry for a time Ironforge had thanked his wopletinger friend and sent him of to his dinner before trotting out to meet the returning Fera.
"I was beginning to get worried" He told the chestnut mare as he drew close enough for conversation to take place "Been getting colder at nights lately...think we might be due for a storm soon" And moon knew the winter storms around here could be treacherous "Any signs of the wayward little one?"

"Oh.... IF... You really shouldn't worry. I know my limitations." She blushed and reveled in the happiness that he cared. She gave a bit of a shiver as the evening air was barely starting to affect her. His words of warning about the coming storm only reinforced the feeling she had. The sky hadn't looked very cheery or friendly as the last few nights. It was when she saw the signs of the elements stirring in a cold manner that she chose to head back.
"I came as soon as I noticed the weather might take a turn for the worst. You know how much I hate being caught out in the snow by myself." She lidded her eyes and tried to look away; as she felt ashamed of her pitiful weakness to the cold. She felt sometimes that this lessened her prowess. This was why she'd never make a proper guardian; or so she frequently told herself.
But the wayward little one... "Well.. no sign of him still. The last I had seen of him.. he was telling another scout about some discovery in some mountain. However, he was off again. I couldn't keep up with them. I am guessing it is towards the upper north west. How far I couldn't tell. Though like I said.. my last recollection of him was telling someone somethign that seemed exciting. Of course.. that was months ago.." Her faithful streak stewing on how to restore this member of their herd. "I won't give up searching for him, but if it's any consolation, I did happen across some patches of mageroyal and kingsblood."

"I know you do" Ironforge soothed her as she protested that he shouldn't worry "But even the best of us can be caught up in a bit of bad luck from time to time." He reminded her and being a scout was probably one of the more dangerous jobs in the herd. Wandering about alone left allot of chances for something to go wrong.
Of course Fera was a smart mare Ironforge reminded himself and she knew her job well. Still...such reminders did little to sooth his worry, it was after all his job to worry..and fret..and protect everyone in the herd. His eyes narrowed slightly at her self depreciating actions Ironforge hated to see her do such things and quite frankly...he refused to coddle her about them, she was hi friend yes but he didn't see how constantly telling her not to worry about such things would do her any good - it was merely something she would have to learn on her own. everyone had weaknesses...It was how they learned to work around them that mattered in the long run, not the weakness itself.
Snorting he turned about and motioned for her to come and walk with him the remainder of the way home "Come along then Fera, theres little more that can be done at the moment and he's a smart little fellow. He'll manage" He assured the mare - he might not be willing to sooth her over her own silly self depreciation but he knew well the distraught feeling that came with not being able to help another and that he was willing to try and help her with "And the others will be greatly pleased with the Mageroyal and Kingsblood, they will be hard to find when the weather turns"

Fera did just as he has asked. She came along. She shook her mane out and clopped her feet along the ground. She let the worries of finding the usdia for another day. For the moment, she picked up her contentment and adoration for her lifelong friend. She then gave a brief giggle and bumped her hind hip against him.
"Sooo... What's new and exciting dear friend? Anything good happen while I was away? anything dramatic? How'd you know I was here anyways?" Then, she blew out of her lips with her bottom lip stretched out a little as to blow her bangs out fo her eyes. Of course since a horse's mouth is a little more protouded anyways than a human's, such a trick wasn't very easily pulled off. She noted to herself she needed to figure out how to get them fixed so they weren't hanging in her face so much.

Ironforge cast a grumpy look in her direction as he bumped him with her hip though she knew him well enough by now to catch the nearly hidden twinkle in his eyes which stated that he really wasn't irritated at all and it was all for show.
"Some Rainbow stallion showed up a bit ago wanting training" He told her with a brief shake of his mane "Kaleidoscope, he calls himself. He's a persistent beast but he seems to have a desire to help others, so I agreed to work with him a bit" He admitted with a sigh - because while he certainly didn't mind helping out a good cause moons knew he wasn't the most social creature- he generally preferred to keep to those he knew.
Deciding that was quite enough on that subject Ironforge decided to answer her other question "Why I sent Prospector out to keep an eye out for you" He told her with a fond tone in his voice for the Wopletinger.
