Drinking from the river on a rather cool day, Rajput had nothing special to do today. Except for traveling around with his friend, Pavitra. Not that it was a bad thing. It was pretty nice, he had someone whom he could talk to and ask opinions of. Though, he felt a little weirded out by the alicorn sometimes. He was a little too...he couldn't quite place it. Or maybe it was just his personality.

Pavitra stirred, first noticing the cold breath of air on him, then secondly that Rajput wasn't where he'd fallen asleep. Closing his eyes tightly for a moment and reopening them, he felt more alert. Darn this weather. Why coudln't the cold just stay somewhere put, away from him?

Shaking out his mane, Pavitra was hit with a dizziness that was probably from his lack of restful sleep as of late. He'd been either tormented by dreams, or simply not resting well. He didn't tell anyone of his probably like he might of should of, but he just saw his stress to be the culpret. Nothing to really be helped he saw it as.

With a pulsing in his temples, he turned to see Raj at the stream. The running water was exactely why they'd decided to stop here last night. Plus the shade of the trees.

"Goodmorning Rajput." Pravitra called, troting slowly over as his body woke more thoroughly up. Craning down, he drank deep, not happy with the even colder temperature of the water. But he hadn't expected it to be warm, either.

"Morning." he grunted in reply, picking at the small blades of grass as usual. Silently chewing still groggy he glanced at Pavitra, "Cold." he said, plucking off another biteful. As always, he still didn't know how to start a conversation even though he'd been with the alicorn for a while now. So Rajput just decided to stay quiet like he always did, alternating between drinks from the river and the grass.

The stallion shivered a little, his thin desert hide still quite not used to the coolness of these new lands. When would the weather be warm again? Would it even get warm?

Pavitra just smiled more at Raj's blunt statement. Sometimes he seemed to want to talk, or felt he should, but he simply didn't know how. "The winter will be here for sometime, but will eventually just go away." He hesitated while he looked to the sky, hoping to see no clouds that would insinuate snow. "Though I wish it would hurry up a little and depart."

After a few chews through the grass around them, he smiled a little. "I imagine I would enjoy your home lands very much Rajput."

"How long is sometime?" he asked, not pleased that this weather was going to stay. The stallion silently agreed with the alicorn, wondering if it was possible to run from the weather. Deep in this thoughts, he merely stared at the sky mint eyes glazed over, and his mouth hanging open with little bits of grass stuck inbetween his teeth and gums.

"Huh?" he shook himself out of his thoughts, as he didn't hear what Pavitra said. "Oh yeah." Rajput interjected, wondering what it was that he said.

Pavitra knew the male didn't hear the last bit but decided not to repeat himself. Him and Raj were going to part ways soon.. now with Adalyn involved. He shouldn't even put hope into himself that one day he would see thel and where Raj was born. The warm sun beating down on the land, constantly. It sounded so pleasant compared to the piercing cold they were surrounded with now.

He nodded, wanting so bad to swipe off the grass that he missed that clung around his muzzle, but he restrained. He didn't talk. He knew he had to tell Raj about the mare. And that he need to stay behind with her while he continued on traveling. He needed to get away from the stallion, for the sake of his mental and emotional stability.

He only stared at the stream that soared by, his reflection a white blemish in the beautiful scenery that was replicated on top of the water.

As blunt and unsociable Rajput was, he knew when something was wrong with someone. Clamping his mouth shut as he swallowed the remaining morsels in this mouth, he walked around Pavi, ending up on the other side of the alicorn, "Something bugging you?" he asked, craning his neck to look Pavi in the eye, "You know you can always tell me anything." Well, it didn't really work like that, Pavitra just said anything and Raj would listen. That was their relationship.

"You're really quiet today." he continued, knowing that it was still early in the morning, but the alicorn would be all bubbly with excitement and those girlish giggles he always did.

Well. No more dilly dallying, he thought. He enjoyed his friends bluntness more than ever right now. It was more torment just to wait and think instead of just telling him. Taking a deep breath, he sighed it out in one large gust. "I met someone. A mare." He added quickly. "And.. I think.. that while you continue traveling, I need to stay behind.. with her."

He looked up for the first time, at Raj and smiled faintly. "She's very.. interesting I must say."

Rajput nodded, "And?" he said, looking at Pavitra. Not understanding why he was so hesitant with this information. "Why're you so worried over this?" he said, voicing his thoughts, "Did you do something to her?" Though he highly doubted that the alicorn could harm a mare, much less anything else.

He looked back at Pavi, "You like her?" and could help but smirk slightly, a bit amused that he found someone.

He couldn't deny that Pavitra telling Raj that they were parting ways, and he seemed not he bit of sadness didn't hurt his heart. Strong pains erupted in his chest but it was silent to his friend. Pavitra ignored the first question, simply because it was entirely too far in the realm and insanity to give much notice.

"Yeah.. I do like her." The damper was worse, seeping heavily into his tone. He felt tired and really just wanted to sleep for a long time. His body felt too heavy. "Shes really beautiful. And most definitely unique."

Rajput raised a brow, eyeing Pavitra. "Alright." Something was definitely wrong with his friend. If he had met a lovely mare that he had fallen for, why was he so sullen? "What's wrong?" he practically demanded, boring holes into Pavitra's head, "If you like her, and she's something worth looking at, why are you being so..." he couldn't find the word, "...such a...brat about it?" Hm. Maybe that was too strong of a word. But that was the only word that would come into his mind.

Should he quickly apologize, or should he just let his words mellow and then apologize later. Whatever it was, Rajput was having a hard time making up his mind, and the precious seconds were slipping by.

Pavitra felt his heart slump down farther than his chest cavity should of allowed. But he didn't think about that just then. He just focused on not letting his tears well. He strained, thinking somehow he could forcibly hold the water back. He worked long enough for him to turn from Raj.

Hiking his voice higher, trying to sound nonchalant and normal, he let the tears soak in his fur. "Yeah, you're right Raj. In fact I better tend to her right now. I guess we'll see each other eventually, huh?" He started walking the opposite direction, and not knowing where exactly Adalyn was. They had planned to meet later in the day, and hadn't the first clue where to start looking for her.

"Huh?" Oh, he was so confused. Very, very confused. He cut in front of Pavi, blocking him from walking any further, "Alright, alright I'm sorry. I was being out of line." he couldn't help but roll his eyes at his quick and blunt apology. Dear spirits, he thought, what had gotten into the alicorn.

"Will you tell me what's wrong now?" he asked again, ready to pester Pavitra to the ends of the earth and back if he said no.

Since when had Raj obtained the ability to dissect actions into emotions? Better yet, when had he started to honestly care so much?

Those were harsh thoughts coming from his hurt feelings, and he immediately felt bad for thinking them. Raj was a good man and it was stupid of Pavitra to act like such a child just because he wasn't wanted in the way he wished. Sighing as steadily as he was able too, Pavitra debated. Should he tell him the whole truth? Or just the fraction about loosing the only friend he truly had?

He didn't doubt he'd see Raj again. Pavitra knew one day he'd come looking for him, no matter what happened today, or what happened with Adalyn. Or anyone else. He'd spent more time with Raj than he had any other creature.

He deserved the truth. But did Pavitra deserve the rejection?

Shaking his mane a little, he looked up at Rajput and he lied... sorta "Its just the weather. It has me all screwed up. This cold... it isn't the best thing for me. Bad memories." Frowning, Pavitra waited to see if he accepted the excuse.

Rajput narrowed his eyes, not buying any of it, "Do you perhaps..." he paused, "Oh, I don't know. Think I'm stupid?" he asked his voice unusually harsh, his tone oozing with sarcasm. "You said you've grown up in 'snow'." whatever that stuff still was, "I don't know how this measly cold would bring up such terrible memories if you've lived in a colder climate." he said, his tone now flat.

Turning away from Pavitira, he kicked at the ground, snorting. "I guess we were friends, but that doesn't really matter much now does it?" he continued to kick at the ground, trying not to feel so annoyed. What was so terrible that he couldn't tell him? He continued to kick and paw at the ground, noticing something black sticking out of the grass. "What the..." Rajput muttered, ignoring everything around him as he tried to pry it out. Not really wanting to use his mouth on some object he didn't recognize he continued to kick it out, curious.
