User ImageSkuld had slowly regained her health after her run in with the rebel scum and her *ahem* unexpected pregnancy. She had been strong enough to travel for quite some time now, but she hadn't left Mizimu territory for her usual walks and talks with the Spirits. Her excuses were many... Her young cubs needing her, not strong enough yet, the spirits could reach her just as well here, and she had to keep track of that apprentice of hers... But if she was completely honest with herself she knew what all those silent excuses were all about. She'd been afraid. She was still afraid. She did not like being afraid.

And that was why her first walk went back the same way she had re-entered the pride territory many moons away, bruised and broken. According to her dodgy logic it was best to tackle the hardest part first. There shouldn't be anything dangerous in the part of the prides territory that had once housed a rag-tag gang of thugs and rebels. It was just that her body remembered the danger, and the beating. It remembered this very vividly indeed, and tried its best to convince her brain to order a retreat. But Skuld was a stubborn creature, and she wasn't giving up just yet. She had made sure to tell Skadi to expect her in a day or possibly two and put her in charge of Urd and Ilo. And her niece would surely taunt her if Skuld came home early... Skadi could see right trough Skuld in matters like that, but she had good hand with the kids. Her children were growing up and did just fine with the minders, but she liked to know that they had an extra pair of watching eyes making sure they didn't get in trouble. Luckily the rains had passed and there shouldn't be any more mud incidents unless they tried really hard.

Skuld carried only a few select bones with her this time, to make travelling easier. The terrain was rocky and there were areas she planned to visit that could have been affected by mudslides. Not carrying bones wasn’t an option, she needed to be able to communicate with the Spirits.
