Sygon Blackmist

"It's true; I can make pick-up lines work. Speaking of which, am I in heaven?"
Height: 5' 10"
Hair: Naturally brown - uses illusions to change colours and styles.
Eye colour: Naturally brown - also uses illusions to change colours.]
Skin colour: Mediterranean skin-tone.
Build: Slim and well-toned.
Appearance: It is hard to describe Sygon’s appearance, as he tends to use illusions to change or enhance his already-good looks, or to conceal himself with a disguise. Sygon naturally possessed a boyish appearance, with unmarred skin, twinkling brown eyes and a shock of unruly brown hair. Sygon may also be found sporting a little goatee, if he feels like it. However, to suit his flashy nature, he likes to change his eye and hair colour to brighter shades and hues (though he wouldn’t go for garish colours like pink or neon green), matching the outfit of the day. Sygon enjoys wearing elaborate outfits made from the finest of materials and coloured with the most exotic of dyes. He absolutely loathes the usual stuffy robes that some mages were accustomed to wearing. He wears the pair of planeswalking earrings on him at all times, and complements his appearance with other pieces of men’s jewellery.
Stature wise, Sygon only stands at 5’10”, but underneath his showy clothes is a well-toned build, though it’s more for show than strength itself. While he doesn’t need a staff or wands to cast his spells, Sygon does own a couple of them, but again, they serve mainly as an ornamental purpose (even if they do enhance his spell-casting), and as such, his collection includes the most elaborate and detailed staves or wands available. One item he does feature in all his outfits is a belt that serves to hold any trinkets, pouches filled with materials or gems, and other such miscellaneous items he happens to chance upon during his journeys.
Clothing Style: Enjoys wearing elaborate outfits made from the finest of materials and coloured with the most exotic of dyes. Wears the pair of planeswalking earrings (small amethyst studs) on him at all times and complements his appearance with other pieces of jewellery. Always has a belt that holds pouches filled with items he picks up during his journeys.
Weapon of Choice: None, unless his razor-sharp wit counts. He does own staves and wands, but they are mainly for ornamental/aesthetic purposes.

Powers: As an Archmage, Sygon has many spells at his disposal but prides himself mainly on his complete mastery of illusionary magic. Sygon can easily transform his appearance to that of a wizened old man, or a burly bald bouncer with many tattoos. However, he tends to use it for trivial purposes, like tweaking his hairstyle, adding streaks of gold here and there, adding a goatee to his otherwise smooth chin, and so on so forth. Sygon can also use this magic on other people and even items, but this requires more energy and effort, so he rarely does so.
From his studies at Lazaroth, Sygon is fully adept at absorbing the energies from his surroundings to cast various elemental or energy based spells. As their effects tend to be rather grand or on a large-scale, Sygon enjoys using them, but in certain planes of existence, such techniques are not feasible. Due to this, he has learnt other methods of spell-casting, many of which are just as flashy. Even if their effects are considerably weaker than other spells, Sygon would still prefer summoning a roaring flame dragon (that loses a lot of energy by manifesting itself in a tangible form) rather than firing a focused fireball at his opponents. This doesn’t mean he has no command over subtle spells, as he understands their importance and actually uses them when the time calls for it (though he has to restrain himself from casting a separate illusion on top of it just for the effect).
Personality: Chaotic Good Sygon is best described as a charming fellow with a taste for extravagance, but despite his noble background, is far from snooty or arrogant. He may be a bit picky at times, but his suave and friendly demeanour endears him to many a person. In fact, he’s even more of a ladies man than Thorn, and can often be found leaving a bar with ladies in tow. Sygon seems to have no worries in the world, but in truth keeps everything to himself, and when something is troubling him he would hide underneath his jovial façade, only confiding in Thorn on the rare occasion. Unlike Thorn, Sygon allows himself to get close to many people, but due to his immortality, he is deeply saddened when he watches them age and pass away. Again, he tries to mask his sorrow with his usual easy-going nature, and this has caused him to be occasionally labelled as someone with a cold and unfeeling heart (which he shrugs off with a laugh and his usual grin).
As he has a natural talent for studies and magic, Sygon can be rather lazy and it’s a surprise to many that he manages to grasp the concepts with little effort. However, if a particular subject catches his attention, he strives for perfection and it is this behaviour that has allowed him to master several schools of magic over time. His natural intelligence comes together with some semblance of wisdom, though his wise words are often masked by jests and subtle comments that some might not catch. Lastly, Sygon can be somewhat self-centred and as such, his actions are driven by his own needs and goals, though in general, he doesn’t break any laws (and if he does, he makes sure that no one recognises it was him with the help of various illusions). In a nutshell, Sygon is a chaotic good character, with his own agenda in life.
