hnnng so unsure. I wanna make an auction to get some gold inflow, but I wouldn't have time to draw except on weekends when I have projects for school out of the way. I don't even know if I would be able to hold up in an auction anymore. 8C My s**t is so...not desirable anymore.

Here's my deviantart:

My last auction was won for 3 mil, but then my tablet broke and I never heard back from the winner. (it's been like...5+ months.)

What do you guys think? When would be the best time to start up an auction, and how long should it go? Or should I just open a shop? (******** everything is a bribe shop anymore.)

Hmmmm did you finish the first personnes drawing, or is it because you haven't heared back from them in 5 months is why your worried? if you've sent them several pms and they haven't answered you, i'd cancel the trade and do another auction in its place : ) Auctions are fun, and I think your art is very lovely and desirable. I would bid on it : ) so don't say stuff to put yourself down wink your a talented artist with your own unique style and way of doing things, and no one can expects anything less from you. You've got some amazing piecees in your portfolio, and whats even more satisfying is how your still growing as an artist with each and every pic you make. Were never really satisfied of our own work, but were always our worst critic, but from an outside source let me be the first to say you've got some amazing talent so don't give up on yourself : ) !!!!

I think you should deffinitly start up an auction if thats what you wanna do. And if you think you'd need help with it you can always ask guild members here if anyone can help.

As for how long you want to run your acution thats up to you. The longer the auction the more people have time to see your auction and bid on it... however its more likely people will not be willing to squat in your thread and wait till the last day to place there high bids, because the end date is to far away. Short term auctions usually less people see them, so less people are probably gonna bid on your art, however you do get squackers that wait in the threads till the last min and place high bids so it equals out eventually : )

I would do an Auction!
I am not a very.. uh.. well known artist, but I have done VERY well in Auctions in the past.

I always do short term Auctions.. like one or two weeks.
But to get my thread noticed and bumped up.. I offer freebies (Just Headshot/Busts) for anyone who bumps my thread 100 times.

If a lot of people jump on it.. I cap it off. But then your thread has a lot of pages so people notice it and it's been bumped up constantly.
...that's just a little trick I have learned if not a lot of people are coming in.

Well.. my last was AB sooner than that, actually. 3D Art goes really fast though, too.

I got 6 mil for Two Couples with Backgrounds... I think. It was a year or so ago.. maybe? >.> -Bad with time-

: O oh thats really good !!!

ok Ichi! new plan do what cherry does XD cause it seems to work better than me.

I always hold long auctions like 2-3 months but in the end only come up with something like 5.5 mill. XD so if in only 2 weeks you managed to make 6 mill I think thats a good way to go about it : )

My last was 2 or 3 weeks I think, and brought in the 3 mil. * A*;;

I'll work on something I had drawn last night for another example and then i supposed I could get one up and running.

The last auction...the winner never PMed me back like...ever @___@; I should just cancel trade now.

yea I'd send them a letter and informe them that do to not answering your pms, you'll be canceling the trade. And then cancel it cause you've got better things to do with your time. XD

I think your art is desirable 3nodding

I think you should try another art auction.

Usually a month is enough time to get the bid fairly high. As for when to do it. Try to plan it in advance so that when the auction is over it'll be when you'll have free time. If you can only do art during the weekends still then I would just make sure to let the winner know that it may take some time. The people that do bid in art auctions are usually nice and understanding.

As for a shop, once in a while you get people that are willing to offer a lot of gold but majority will want to pay as little as possible. With the art auction it takes out the headache of people trying to haggle with you.
