Chaonis was sitting on the front counter of the library, grinning at the back door. He was just waiting for Rosalind to arrive, having invited her to the library now that it was closed so they could discuss this whole 'space' issue. He had found out about it through conversations with others, realized she knew about it, and would not relent with her until she told him more. He might have been more knowledgeable if he actually went out of his way to research, to train, to learn.
But he didn't. That all was too much work. Anyway, it had worked out. He could just bother Rosalind about it.
He had come to the library with his father's keys, knowing the security codes after one day of 'working' with his dad. It really had been a cover, spending that day with him, so he could set himself up for using the library for whatever he wanted. And it had worked: any question he asked, Tony had been far too eager to answer, thinking his son was following in his footprints. A chip off the old block.
Hardly.
He had called Rosalind non-stop, to get her to come and meet him here tonight. He was going to get her to show him everything she knew, or she would never get a good night's sleep again with his relentless badgering. It's not like he had anything better to do with his time. Besides the whole senshi thing. But hey, this was that, so in a way he was just bettering himself for his 'job'.
She should be happy to help him.

"I'm waiting in the back like you asked. I'll be leaving if I'm not let in within the minute," read the text that Sailor Rosalind sent to Chaonis. And she meant it!
Unfortunately, the back door flung open not even ten seconds later. What, had he been standing around, waiting for her? What a loser. Rosalind glared at Chaonis as she let herself in, walking past him with her nose in the air. "I was about to leave, you know. You're lucky I'm even here tonight, Chaonis." She traipsed down the empty aisles of books, making her way to an open area of tables and lamps. Her arms were crossed the entire time, her face had an imperious expression.
To be completely honest, she only knew a little bit more than Chaonis did. Perseus had told her about her adventure into space, and how to do it-- but she had never done it herself. "Of course I've been to space. I've done it tons of times, you know. But why would I want to teach you how to do it?" She said it teasingly, her hands on her hips. "What's in it for me?"

Choanis laughed at the text, not surprised that she was being impatient. If he weren't so excited about this whole thing, he would have stood in front of the door, not opening it, just whistling so she could hear him and know he was there. A few minutes wait and then he would have said something witty. But instead, he just opened the door in a hurry and scoffed like she was three hours late.
"Oh, there you are. I was wondering where you had gotten to. Not polite, keeping people waiting."
Shaking his head, he made sure no one was around, then pulled the door closed and locked it. He followed her, snorting derisively.
"I wouldn't call it lucky," he said conversationally. He followed her, impressed that she could keep up her haughty attitude flawlessly, even though there was no one around to look and stare and give her the attention she obviously wanted. He imagined she was like a leech or something similar in that way, surviving only on the attention she dragged out of those around her.
"Aw, come on. Me in space? Who knows, maybe you'll see less of me, right? But really, you wouldn't have come if you didn't want to help, so this whole conversation is kind of pointless, right? So let's just get to it, huh? You've been there, how do we do this?"
At least he didn't see through her bluff about actually going before. If he did find that out, a lot of mocking was going to ensue.

"Maybe I'll send you to the Sun." Rosalind rolled her eyes and pulled her phone out, clicking it open. There was a specific sequence you had to press to get to where you wanted... what was it, again? Ugh, this was so bothersome-- but she couldn't go back now. "You're a real pain, you know that? Give me your hand."
She extended a gloved hand towards Chaonis, her palm upwards. She was about ninety percent sure that she knew the code to get to outer space, and it didn't hurt to try, did it? "If we're not holding hands, you'll be left back here. Watch what I do. Oh, and trust me when I say that the last thing I would like to be doing is holding your hand."
Her face was red all the while, of course.

Chaonis grinned at her broadly, grabbing her hand and gripping it tightly so she had no chance of letting go of him.
"You dump me in the sun, and I'm taking you with me, buddy," he said, laughing jovially. He was in a great mood from the excitement. The very idea of being in space was awesome to him. Burning to a crisp because they did get too close to the sun, not so much. But still.
"No chance of losing me, right? We're not going to get stuck in the atmosphere and burn are we? Or like, fall back down to earth? I know Chaonis is an asteroid, but I really don't want to personally experience the life of one, if you know what I mean. Like. I don't want to be a crater."
He clarified, just in case she wasn't catching his drift. And he liked to act like she was stupid.
"Because asteroids make those when they hit the Earth."
He grinned at her, though, and laughed, shaking her hand enthusiastically. "Come on, do it already! This better not be some elaborate prank just for you to spend some time with me."

"Don't rush me," Rosalind spat, punching in the last digit of the number on her cell phone.
And suddenly, Rosalind felt extremely fatigued. She collapsed onto the floor, gasping for air-- it felt as though she had just ran a marathon. Her first instinct, of course, was to blame Chaonis. "What did you do?!" Picking herself up slowly, dusting her fuku off, Rosalind studied her surroundings.
Uhm. Where were they? She was inclined to think it was the asteroid, Chaonis, but it couldn't be, as there was a giant, golden statue of Sailor Rosalind in front of the two, striking a sassy pose. Behind her, and far off into the distance, stood a rustic-looking palace that was a sullen gold color-- there were chunks and pieces missing from the architecture, but there was no mistaking that it was a palace.
Suspended in the night sky (or was it the day sky? One couldn't tell in space) was a powdery blue planet, the Sun far off in the distance. Around the massive building were multiple, gem-laden flowers-- rubies, sapphires, topaz, all sorts of gems-- lined the gold-paved streets.
"Uhm." It's all she could manage-- she looked at Chaonis sheepishly. It wasn't like she could lie about where they were, what with a giant statue in her visage being before them and all. It was gaudy!

Chaonis wasn't quite sure what had happened. He felt such a strange thing in him, like being pulled and yet not going anywhere, like he was moving through nothing and everything at once. He wobbled, and saw Rosalind slump, moving on instinct to put his hand on her shoulder. His worry immediately receded.
"What did I do?! What do you do?!"
He looked up, drawing his hand away, and spotted the statue immediately. It was rather hard to miss. He stared at it for a long time in disbelief, then looked at Rosalind to make sure he was looking at what he thought he was looking at. There was no doubt.. That was Rosalind. Giant. Ten times as obnoxious by being made of gold.
"What the... hey, they really were generous on your boobs, don't you think? What the hell, man! Look at this place. Are those gemstones in the street? Jesus! I think we just found El Dorado or something." He looked around, eyes drawn up to the sky, and for a moment his expression softened. He stared at the unfamiliar sky, the stars, feeling a shiver moving through him like nothing he had ever felt before.
He looked at Rosalind.
"Let's go inside that palace over there. It looks like it's about to fall down." He said it like that was the reason they should be going in, rather than a reason to avoid it.

"I did nothing except as I was told. Your presence ruined our direction. You're lucky we didn't end up in the Sun, or maybe in a black hole. That's the last time I go with you!" She flipped a lock of hair over her shoulder and cocked an eyebrow in a bluffing manner. What reason did he have to not believe her? After all, she had done it many times before.
Rosalind's first instinct was to cover her chest, which she did, of course. "Don't talk about my breasts so flippantly." She turned red, except darker than before. "In fact, even better-- don't speak of them at all. Ever again." She didn't uncross her arms, and probably wouldn't until she forgot about them-- which wouldn't be for awhile.
Part of her felt good that Chaonis was impressed with her moon. As it should be! Everyone should be impressed. It was rightfully so. But the only thing on her mind was the fact that she needed maids, and stat. "I. I'm not sure if I want to go in there-- what if it falls on top of us? I mean, it's pretty and all, but..."

"It won't fall down on us, come on. What are you, a wuss?"
He moved away from her anyway, apparently not going to stop even if she was worried. This was a kick: the most thrilling thing he had done in a long while. Maybe ever. Better than any fight he had been in, even the ones that nearly killed him. He lived on, thrived on, danger, but this? This was beyond anything he could ever imagine.
He was in space and there was a dilapidated palace just calling his name.
He had all but forgotten about the statue and all the teasing he could do about it and her embarrassment about his commenting on her breasts. He had other things to focus on.
"Come on, Rosalind!" he called, running forward, jogging toward the palace. "If you don't go in, I'll just go in myself and keep whatever I find!"
He came closer to the building, slowing because he imagined Rosalind would be right behind him. This was her trip, after all. Anyway, she knew what she was doing, and he needed to keep her around so he didn't go running off and then fall off the planet, or moon, or whatever.

"Oh, fine. I'll go-- if you touch anything, I'm chopping off your hand and throwing it into outer space. I'm not kidding, either." Rosalind followed after Chaonis, albeit slowly, since she was still rather tired. "It's my palace, so there's no doubt a lovely bounty to be found inside. But no touching!"
When the two came to the gilded doors of the palace, stopping, Rosalind was pretty eager. All this hype for him to just stand around? Pushing him forward and bursting through the door, Rosalind smiled triumphantly. "The coast is clear, I'm assuming?"
Daintily stepping over Chaonis, who was still sprawled on the floor from being shoved through the doors, Rosalind swatted a hand through the air to clear the dust. Unfortunately, it was rather dark-- not pitch black, but dim. The two appeared to be in a hallway with several arching doors.
"So. Where to? I would give you a tour, but... I'll just leave the suspense to you." The truth was she didn't want to fall into a bottomless pit and didn't want to fall into a black space abyss.
Better Chaonis than her, of course.

"That explains how gaudy it is," Chaonis retorted, shaking his head. He had imagined this was her place, of course, considering the giant gold hint in the front yard. It did not surprise him that she would have a statue of herself.
Not at all.
When she pushed him he shot her a glare, then promptly lost his balance in the doorway because of her and hit the ground. He grunted, winded, looking up at her as she passed over him.
"Saw up your skirt," he said after her, though he hadn't, scrabbling to get himself to his feet and catching on to her dress tails to help him do it. He dusted himself off, which was actually necessary and not just a gesture of annoyance like he had planned. He coughed, looking around.
"This way, then," he said at random, wandering off into the dark toward an archway with the regular level of reckless confidence that got him through life. He was not fearing any holes or an abyss of any kind. He wanted to find some treasure, or something, though the run down building didn't look like it was good for much. Besides really shiny and expensive firewood.
He moved into a room, which was darker than the hallway, wishing he had brought a light of some kind.

"Uh-- in case you hadn't noticed, that room is pitch black? I don't know, maybe you have night vision, but I don't." The way he looked back at her signified that, obviously, he could care less. "Ugh, fine." She trotted past Chaonis, their shoulders bumping aggressively, towards a barely-visible ray of light a few feet away. As it turned out, there were drapes-- silky and thick-- and not hesitating for a moment, Rosalind pushed one to the left, and one to the right, letting a dim, blue-hued light fill the room.
The following sight was astonishing. Many, many marble busts filled the room, all of Rosalind and her lovely visage. There was one bust for every emotion fathomable-- angry, happy, sad, laughing, disenchanted, mildly hungry, possibly offended-- they were all there. The auburn-haired sailor soldier felt as though she wanted to turn into stone along with her busts. She just knew Chaonis would have something to say. She. Just. Knew it.

Choanis glared in her general direction when she bumped his shoulder, teetering forward but this time managing to keep his footing. He was not going to let her knock him over a second time, damn it. He watched the shadow of her form in the gloom, grinning in anticipation as she found the window and opened the drapes.
He quickly found he would rather not have any light.
"Ugh, close it again, close it again!" He yelped, as if he had been seared by a white hot flame, shielding his eyes against a horror he was being forced to take in.
One was enough. More than enough. Too many.
He dropped his arms, though, and erupted into raucous laughter as he rushed around the room, pointing at the busts and laughing, making dirty jokes as he went, shaking his head in shock and unfathomable amusement as he took the sights in. He looked at her, shaking his head.
"This is... the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. It really is. And it's so fitting for you. Honestly, if someone asked me what I thought I would find if I ever went to a place with your name I would literally say 'oh, she'd probably have a room full of herself'. And here you are! And look, only the important parts. Actually, it seems there's more than necessary. Why'd they bother sticking heads on all these boobs?"
He shook his head, grinning at her from ear to ear.
"I want to take one home with me, I really do." He went over to the one that looked rather annoyed, pointing at it. "That one. That's perfect, right?"

"If you touch it," she said grimly, "I'm taking one of your ears. Actually, no. I'm taking your tongue, because you don't even use your ears anyway. But you sure do flap your tongue around, don't you?" Rosalind looked around the room, visibly annoyed, trying to find another door for them to go through. The sooner they left her room of precious art, the better. "Moving on, moving on," she began, slapping Chaonis' hand away from her bust (the statue kind, of course), "we're going this way." She put her hands on his back, guiding him towards a golden door. What was on the other side, she didn't know-- but it was probably something fabulous. "Over here is my. Uh-- it's myyyyyyyyyyy..." She traipsed forward, pushed the doors open, and peeked in. "It's my bathing room," the auburn-haired soldier called out. "Yes, and it's quite lovely, even in disrepair."
This room had a source of light already, seeing as there was a giant, massive hole in the ceiling. It was expansive and filled with dead plants, but it seemed to be a once-verdant room, filled with sparkling water and such. For a moment, a very brief moment, Rosalind saw a once-glimmering room, filled with light and water, and many exotic plants. In the center of the pool was a gazebo-like area, raised above the water, and filled to the brim with extravagant pillows and silky drapes.
But then it was gone, and there was a massive hole in its place. She wondered what had happened. "Did you see that?" Rosalind inquired, tilting her head inquisitively.

Chaonis grinned at her as she swatted him away, lifting his hands defenselessly, though he hardly looked innocent. He shook his head, snorting derisively as he cast one last look around the strange, creepy room and then made to follow her lead. It was her castle, after all.
Or ruins, at any rate.
"I'm enjoying this guided tour. I hope there's something even more ridiculous in the next room, for sure. It's hard to think what could out do a room of disembodied heads and boobs."
He was fairly disappointed by the bathroom, looking around boredly and nodding his head in disinterest. He did like the giant hole in the ceiling, though, thinking it tied the room together nicely. Probably improved it from the overwhelming opulence of the rest of the place. He eyed her suspiciously when she spoke next, having been sidetracked by the damage in the room, trying to discern if it was decay or something else had started it.
"What?" He grumped, not having seen anything. "Let's find some place else. As fun as bathrooms can be, it's better when they're public. More danger that way. You got like a treasure room or something?"
