"Play time, play time, it's time for play time!" Chimed the lithe looking hybrid.
Chamba was excited, because it was time for him and his mother to share play time together. Usually, he would just play with his brother as she went out to hunt for them but today was one of the rare occasions where he got to spend one on one time with his Mom, because she managed to make a really big kill the other day and it would last them for several days to come.
Chamba's excitement was expressed truly in the clouds of dust he was creating as he ran circles about her. He wondered what they were going to do today together. Maybe she would teach him how to hunt properly, or take him on a grand adventure. He wasn't sure, but damn was he excited about it.

The day was bright and sunny like it normally was, but the heat did not burn the ground as much since the recent rains of the wet seasons. The rain made it far easier to hunt the silly little wildebeests that ran through the river just off of their tree den.
She had managed not one, but two, to feed the hungry mouths and she had a day of rest.
Nafsi stretched, the base of the tree allowing her to curve her back elegantly and pop out all of the kinks that had tightened in her rest. She smiled as she heard her one of her children call for her - Chamba from her most recent litter of birth children.
He had Mauja's eyes. "Play time, is it?" She said with a laugh. "What would you like to do today, then, my lovely little Chamba."

"We could play tag! Or, or, or..." Chamba stopped running his circles and planted his butt firmly onto the ground. It was the only time which Chamba managed to stop in his own tracks and take a moment to stay still. It was very silly to watch, it was almost as if he was incapable of thinking and running at the same time. The juvenile had no ability to multitask.
"Oh! Let's hunt the meerkats! I found a bolt hole around here somewhere and saw some. They scurry so funny into it," Chamba said with a smile as he picked back up his circling of his light colored mother.
Chamba always had an insatiable urge to chase things his size or smaller. As a cub he'd chase his brother, the bugs, the rabbits, even just pieces of grass that had managed to cross his path he'd chase. He ran a mile a minute and went absolutely nowhere. Some could only wonder how poor Nafsiumiza dealt with having a mini-speed demon for a baby, but it seemed that she had managed him rather well. At the very least he listened to her.

Nafsi gave a small laugh as she watched her child practically skid to a stop and sit so he could thing of something. She sat for the moment he was thinking.
That is, until he came up with something and began to run about her again. "Alright then, show me to the bolt hole, love." She said with a smile, trying her hardest not to follow the hyperactive cub with her eyes lest she become dizzy.
She picked herself up to follow the cub - he was quite fast for his age, but with his shorter legs, Nafsi could still keep up with him. It was far more difficult to contain the product of a cheetah and a lion, however, since unlike the cheetah, lions were built for more endurance - a creature with both endurance and speed was a force to be reckoned with.
Nafsi, however, was quite good at what she did. She was a mother, even if it was to insanely fast children. "I'll race you," she said mischievously, though she intended to trail behind her hyper child.
