I barked at the large gray thing in the middle of the meadow today. I went to bed with a clear meadow and when I came up to see the day, it was there. I don't know where it came from... but I barked at it from the burrow. It didn't move. I crept up close to it and saw ants crawling up and down it... I barked again. Nothing happened so I crept up closer through the grass and jumped on it. I didn't know rocks could be that big or bite. My paw is sore, but now i have something to climb up high on. That was i can watch my family play in the meadow and see all around. Big Rock is really useful. But now i feel silly for barking at it. I smell berries, I think it's snack time.

It's been raining a lot. It's nice that everything is getting watered, but I don't like being watered so much. I'd rather swim on a hot day, but Mother Ambrose says not to bother trying to change the weather. It's something that we learn to love. Besides, she says, all the rain makes the worms come out! To be honest, I never really liked worms, but I eat them anyways 'cuz Mother Ambrose says they're good for me.
So now I'm playing with a small round rock I found next to Big Rock. I'm glad my paw isn't sore anymore. Small Round Rock is fun to play with on rainy days. It rolls all over and I chase it in the burrow. I think it bothers the others though because I'm so big and bump into every thing. But they haven't complained yet so I guess it's okay! I think I'm going to go groom my tail now.
