[~+~] I was thinking of making a sticky in here where we can list bands (A - Z), of all the different genres etc, so you can all look at them if you want a new band to listen to or whatever. I see so many topics in here asking for new bands, thought it may be handy to have it all in one place. xD;
What do you all think? c:

 Good idea.
But maybe put them by genre then A-Z so it's easier to skip over those that you know you won't like?

mayb A-Z by band name/artist? genre? name of song? im all for band name/artist tho cuz im sure if u do it by genre then ur gonna want that to b A-Z too so itd b too much work to do that wen u can just do it by the band name/artist. thats way easier cuz if u come up with some new ones all u hav to do is find that section of letters.

I see a lot trouble with the genres idea.
As long as it's like "Rock, Rap, Post-hardcore, Metal, Ska, Country, Jazz, Bluegrass," it'd be fine.
But there are so many subgenres that people might complain about what goes where. =w=

Shady-chan: Yeah, it'll be the simple genres. xD;
And i mean very simple. Like: Pop, Rock (including metal), Rap, Dance etc.
I've seen people get into such big arguments over what "genre" a band is, it's ridiculous. Normally i don't put bands into genre, but it's easier in this case for reference. (So for example you may love rap but hate anything dancy, so don't really want to trawl through a massive list of everything.)

What are the simplest genres you guys can think of?
So far it's going to be Rock (so the more old style stuff like AC/DC etc), Pop, Rap, Classical, Techno, I suppose Metal (although nu-metal is counting as the same thing!), Country, ugh. My mind's blanked. xD;

The typical umbrella terms I see used are: Pop, Rock, Rap, Metal, Classical, Techno, and Country.
Then you can build off of those, like Neo-Classical, Classic Rock, or Death Metal.
Is extremely picky about tagging her music. >,<
