Name: Eldenth
Color: Bronze

Physical Description: While many of his brethren boast forms that are either well muscled or partuarly lithe and agile for their color, Eldenth is... Terribly average. He is stocky and large, but is nowhere near the largest. He is not particuarly lithe either; the dragon seems to be a bit awkward in his movements on the ground. His color is a medium bronze, with several outcropping of darker colored spots that resemble sun-marks on humans. Like many of his bretheren, Eldenth has his fair share of scars. Personality: Again, unlike many of his bronze brethren, Eldenth has no cravings for leadership. Putting yourself on a pedastal is the easiest way to get pushed off. Eldenth lets those who desire the spotlight to have it, prefering to work from the shadows. He is a sneaky, clever bronze who delights in nothing more than a plot gone right.

This is a dragon with an excelent poker face. Most people perceive him to be a rather timid bronze, always holding himself back and always obeying the more forceful bronzes. For sure, he sticks to the shadows and spends most of his time around other dragons observing. However, there will always be those who see him for what he is: a manipulative b*****d of a dragon. He sticks to the shadows not out of fear, but out of nesisity. Tongues are more likely to slip around a dragon who is quiet and who does not blab to others.

Other Information:

His parents had joined out of nessisity, not love. His mother, Dieca, had beauty and intelligence, but her financially troubled holder family lacked any good ammount of money. His father, Timos, had great talent in the smithing field, but lacked any sort of connections in Monaco Hold. The pair formed a working partnership and prospered. Timos was elated with the birth of their first child, a son they named Gariss. Timos worked hard to give his son everything that he had never had as a child, but still wanted to raise the child in his craft.

To this day, some of G'ris' most treasured memories are of his childhood. Father was a good, loving man who was very clever with his hands. He spoke to his young son consatly, and the boy spent more time in the forge than in his mother's arms. The gentle timbre of his father's voice, the steam of the forge, these are the memories that he holds closest to his heart.

Though he learned much from his father in hsi formative years, he offically apprentanced to him at eleven. A friend of the family started training him in basic swordplay at this time, as Timos wanted his son to know what the swords they forged could do. Gariss enjoyed the short lessons, as he did with any other physical activity. His ideylic life continued untouched for several mroe turns. Things that are gold never seem to last, however, and his father came under fire from an offical of Monaco hold. Perhaps his mother had snubbed him, or his father done something, but the Offical made it his business to ruin the family. The materials for their forge were more shoddy than before, the tithies and fees to the hold were more expensive, any small fault was called out and punished. The stress broke apart the union of the parents, Mother taking her younger children and returning to a more wealthy relative's home. His father did what he could to scrape by, but the pettiness of the oficial followed them wherever they went in the hold. His buisness dried up, as few were willing to deal with one who may bring such ire upon themselves.

The pair left the Hold and traveled to another, hoping to get a fresh start. This was cut short when they were beset upon by Holdless. The father died protecting the son, and Gariss himself was badly wounded. The only peice of luck that befell him that day was that a dragon, likely persuing the holdless, found the injured young man and took him back to the Weyr. They treated him well and let him heal. Deciding that this was as good of a place as any, Gariss stayed at the Weyr.

As he was still not yet too old, Gariss thought that becoming a candidate would be an acceptable way to show his graditude to the Weyr for their assitance. He spoke with a searchrider and was deemed to be an acceptable choice. He continued to heal as he learned with the candidates. His plan was simple: Serve the weyr until he aged out, then find a master to finish his smithcraft training. He was caught off guard by a clutch that was laid shortly before his twenty second turnday. He stood with all the other candidates, and no one was more surprised than he when a lateborn bronze chose him.

G'ris worked and did all his chores like a good little weyrling, but tensions were running high in the Weyr. Not long after his dragon was fully grown another member of the Weyr died. Feeling that his duty to they Weyr had been paid by his turns of work, and being friendly with those who were leaving, G'ris left with them.

Physical Description: Though his looks are beginning to 'fade', the remnants of an attractive man still reside. The core of his face must have once been sweet, but his turns with the Raiders have made him look like a bruiser. G'ris has dark brown eyes that are fairly unremarkable, and rather long eyelashes. His nose has obviously been broken and poorly set at least once. Full lips are permanently pulled up in a smirk by by a scar, owing thanks to a badly stitched wound from years past. There is a scar under his right cheekbone, and he's missing the top part of his ear on that same side. One of his bottom canine teeth is long gone.

G'ris has hair that is more salt than pepper, though one would be hard pressed to tell with how shortly he keeps it cropped. His brows are still black, but any stubble that grows is certainly gray. G'ris' skin is deeply tanned, and it is tough and wrinkled from years spent under the sun. While still muscled, the man is more lean than bulk. He's dotted here and there with scars, and he still has calluses on the tips of his fingers.

Personality: "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players."

In a mad court such as the Rogues, G'ris fancies himself to be the court jester. While those around him seem to be fully focused on their goals, G'ris always appears to think that everything is just a game. It's like the man thinks that life is but a play, and he's acting out the part of 'over dramatic anti-hero'. Any emotion he shows seems to be blow out of proportion. He doesn't live so much as he acts.

Though his actions may seem terrible to those outside of their group, G'ris is not without honor. He has a rather abstract code of conduct that makes sense to himself. He is not simply a brute. If he says that he'll do something, he'll do it. Even promises made to the enemy are kept. While it may not make sense to others, it makes perfect sense to himself. One, it makes things more dramatic. Two, if you cultivate a reputation of being honest, it's harder for people to get things to stick to you.

While cheerful and charismatic, G'ris is lazy. This man has no desires to lead, and in fact thinks that it's more fun to stay behind. There's more time to play, more time to observe, and more time to crack jokes at the expense of those around you. He doesn't want to put in the work to being a leader. While he'll work hard at things that he likes, such as swordplay, he's a pretty lazy b*****d when it comes to most everything else.

Most of the time, G'ris is someone you'd want around if you're having a bad day. The man is typically cheerful and hard to get down, looking at the world with an amused look on his face. He likes to joke and lighten the mood. If he likes you, he'll try to lighten the mood and make you feel better. If he doesn't like you...

G'ris is a hideously spiteful b*****d. His sense of honor only complicates this fact. If he places his trust in you and you do something to violate that trust, he will never forgive you. G'ris will do everything he can to feasibly ruin your life without thought of morality. Once his trust is lost, it is nigh-impossible to get back. This is a black and white area for him. No shades of grey exsist here.

While he may play the part of 'womanizer' quite well, G'ris will treat a woman right. Even if she may be just a lady of the night, while she is with him, she is just a lady. While his heart may flit from woman to woman, he will spoil the current flavor of the week like there's no tomorrow. He enjoys all sorts of women, from pretty stupid things to strong Helga women. He holds a special place in his heart for those strong tongued lasses who don't let the world get them down.



History: Like many would think, the Rider G'riss was once Gariss the Harper. Born to a minor hold to a Harper mother, Gariss had a terribly boring childhood. He had friends and enemies and many shenanigans, but no major troubles. Showing exceptional talent with music, his mother Larissa sent him to be trained in the craft. Her son seemed willing, but this was mostly because the boy didn't care. Any future seemed as good as the other. His mother traveled with him back to the hall with an excuse of needing to refresh herself on the basics.

Gariss always had a soft spot for his mother. She was a soft spoken, doe-eyed woman who could do no wrong in his eyes. Larissa spoiled her son as much as she was able. While she was without a doubt a good woman, her taste in men always left something to be desired. Be they heavy handed or un-attentive, Gariss learned how not to behave towards women from these men.

Larissa was sent to Monaco Hold for a teaching position. Gariss was happy, thinking that his mother was likely enjoying spending time with younglings. Imagine his surprise when a letter was received by the hall, asking for another teacher. They claimed his mother had ran off after acquiring considerable gambling debts. Gariss couldn't believe this, and dropped from the hall to head to Monaco. He stayed in the hold for two long years before finding any sign of his mother. She was overworked and ill, apparently having spent her marks on a beau. The man had used her for what she was worth, then discarded her. Larissa had turned to gambling to try and make up the debts, but just found herself deep in a ditch. To pay off her debts, she'd went to a brothel. She died not half a turn later.

His career in shambles because of his abrupt departure from the hall, and with no family left, Gariss was lost in the world. He drifted to the Weyr by chance and took up drudge jobs. He likely would've continued his life in a similar manner, if a clutch had not been laid. His Impression was a surprise to himself; at twenty he'd not thought it possible. The nasty tempered little dragon was a handful as well.

Not long after the pair were wingriders, a weyrborn died. When the split happened, G'ris found himself following those who left. He had no particular love for the Weyr. And these renegades looked interesting. While his dragon may have grumbled, G'ris didn't seem to care.

Life holdless was a bit of a shock for the man at first. While things were certainly interesting, the lad who had never really worked for anything found himself having to pull more than his weight. #11 had remarked more than once in his previous life that he was a lover, not a fighter. He lost his fair share of fights at first, but quickly picked up the hang of things. Light on his feet, vicious when needed, #11 made quite a name for himself.

If there is a chance to go against Monaco Hold, he will take that chance. While he is not nearly as prejudiced against hold folk as some are, he hates that hold. Everything about it is disgusting. If it were up to him, he'd raze it to the ground and sort out those that survived.

Other/Talents: Harpering: The soul is willing, yet the flesh unable. While he initially worked with those amongst his group who knew the craft, years of fighting and hard work have left him with an inability to play most instruments. Be it from fingers that are too callused from work to catch strings properly, or from a voice that has spent too many days yelling to sing sweetly, most of G'ris's harpering talents are worthless now.

His color is a light bronze, with several outcropping of darker colored spots that resemble sun-marks on humans. Like many of his brethren Eldenth has his fair share of scars. He wears them all with pride. Some are from fights, some attacks from wild animals; there are even a few burn marks here and there. Eldenth has spent his life being a bruiser and has the marks to show it.

Personality: While his rider may have a strict code of conduct, Eldenth is not nearly as principled. There is only one winner of any contest and Eldenth wants to be that winner at any cost. While some dragons had trouble getting used to the idea of threatining a human, Eldenth found it easy to do so. After all, aren't most dragons as protective of Theirs as he is of His? Wouldn't they think twice about messing with him if he may go after Theirs? His flame, his claws... Any weapon is sutable to him.

He's not just a brute, however. Eldenth is one of the nosier dragons about the group. The bronze is plagued with an almost painful need to know things. Most everything is interesting in some way to this dragon. Even human things. Eldenth often pushes G'ris to do more things, so that he may experience them through his rider. Though he doesn't always understand them, it makes him feel more important to know many things. He frequently uses his rider's intelligence for himself.

There is a place for everyone, and everyone should be in their place. Eldenth is very proud of his color. He tends to think that every bronze is a rival, every Brown can be spoken to but should be watched, every Blue better work hard, and Greens are good for only one thing. If any 'lower' ranked dragon snipes at him he will become enraged. How dare they! They're not anywhere nearly as good as he is! With hard work, His is able to calm him down, but this is one thing that's never been able to change. Eldenth will always be a rank happy b*****d.

Eldenth seems to be a bit... Cold blooded. He possesses a cruel, calculating mind. While other dragons and their riders may think back to the date of Impression with a tear in their eye, Eldenth curls his lip in distaste at their weakness. Impression was a necessity. When he hatched, he made a beeline for the boy with the clever mind. No sweet emotions here: Eldenth needed a rider to survive. He picked the best one available. Eldenth protects G'ris like one would protect any other organ necessary to survive. He's somewhat paranoid about the man's health. After all, if G'ris dies, then he will as well.

While he may be full of negative characteristics, one thing is true: Eldenth is an asset. He is a hard working dragon who doesn't shirk his duties just because he's hurt. He obeys commands and will follow them to the letter. The dragon is always out practicing. He can rest when he's dead.

Unlike his rider, Eldenth is not a womanizer. Why he would certainly fly a Gold if their group had one, he doesn't go out looking for greens. He is focused on his missions, on his group. He sees no point in wasting precious time wooing.
