Spear

User Image

Zilong Style

Zilong is a style of fast strikes or flowing movement. Use on the battlefield against one or many opponents. Remember to watch your back as this style leaves it completely open.

Lieying Quanda
Rank: E
Requires Energy
Description: Build up a little energy into your spear and arms. Hold the spear in both hands, keeping it level with the ground. When you are ready thrust the spear forward fast, the energy you put into it travels through your arms, the shaft and the head to your opponent, making the attack stronger than a normal attack. The stronger you are, the stronger this technique.

Diqiu She
Rank: E
Description: Planting your heel into the earth you hold your spear straight out from your body. You make one spin on your heel until you are facing the direction you initiated the skill with. Though not meant to do much damage wise but is effective in getting your opponent(s) at a distance that you want them to be.

Richu
Rank: D
Description: Flipping your spear around use the heavy end of the spear to increase the power of an upwards thrust with the blunt-end of the pole. This should send your opponent into the air to be at mercy from attacks from below such as Xiezi.

Hudie
Rank: D
Description: While running you spin your spear from either side of you, covering you from attacks on either side and ahead of you.

Long Houjiaosheng
Rank: C
Description: Like a simple thrust of your spear but with a little something more. Charge energy into your weapon and thrust it forward towards an opponent. The energy will convert at the tip of the spear into an attack of your element; earth will erupt in line with your spear, a ball of fire will fly towards your opponent, a gust of wind will emanate from the tip, a column of water will shoot from the tip.

Diyide Da
Rank: C
Requires Energy (D rank)
Description: Usually used as the initiator of the fight. Charging your opponent hold your spear tightly in your hand. Just as you are about to close range with your opponent stop, placing a little energy in your feet and your weapon. Thrust the spear forward. You will slide forward a couple more feet and a small energy burst will emanate from the tip of your weapon. This should knock your opponent back, off guard, and/or confuse their sense of distance temporarily. Use this at the beginning of a fight to give you an early advantage.

Dizhen
Rank: C
Requires Energy
Description: Gathering energy into your spear you stab the end of it into the ground and release the energy into the ground and create an earthquake. Your rank determines the distance that the earthquake travels from your position.

Trainee – 10 feet
Novice – 20 feet
Adept – 30 feet
Expert – 40 feet
Master – 50 feet
Sage – 60 feet

Xiezi
Rank: C
Description: Three quick successive stabs. The movements are so fast that if the first connects, the next two attacks will also connect.

Zuihou Da
Rank: C
Description: Meant to be the finish of a battle. Rotate your spear so that the head is down and stab it into your opponent’s leg. Drag his leg out from under him, bringing him to one knee. Remove the spear and perform a quick, strong strike to his ribs with the blunt end of your spear, then strike the head with the same force with the head of the spear.

Maotouying
Rank: C
Requires Energy
Description: First send a wave of energy through your body. Afterwards leap into the air, swing your spear to catch and sweep up an opponent. Release the energy allowing you to remain airborne for a short amount of time while you attack your opponent in the air. You remain airborne for only one post, use it well.

Long Zhuazi
Rank: B
Requires Energy
Description: This skill begins by swinging the spear completely around your body, getting your opponent(s) within the right range. Without stopping step forward and swing the end of the spear up, launching your opponent into the air. Follow by leaping into the air above your opponent and launching your energy as a wave towards him. Finish by diving at the opponent, forcing him back to earth.

Canren Chengfa
Rank: B
Description: Swing your spear down aiming for your opponent’s leg. If it connects dig the head of your spear deep into the flesh and force him down. The pain should be excruciating enough to keep him from moving. Move to his side, removing your spear from his leg, then rotate the spear to the center of your opponents body and swing it forward, propelling him away from you. Your opponent should barely have any use of that leg.

Liuxing
Rank: B
Description: While running or using one of the running techniques stab the head of your spear into the ground. Use your momentum to take you up off the ground and into the air, pulling the spear out of the earth as you ascend. Make one flip to right yourself up then hurl yourself back to the ground, swinging your spear towards your opponent. The added momentum to the swing should cause more damage, or at least knock him off balance.

Zhenshi Kuaisu
Rank: A
Requires Energy
Description: Putting some energy into your feet your speed is boosted one rank. You hold your spear in a defensive position as you run. Acting like a bulldozer you can run through a group of enemies and defend against most attacks. You cannot attack, and if you are struck, the technique ends.

San Xing
Rank: S
Requires Energy
Description: A three-part attack heavily utilizing energy. It is initiated by swinging the blunt end of your spear in a feint attack, causing your opponent to retreat slightly. You then stab the spear into the ground and surge energy into it, creating a small burst meant to cause your enemies to lose their balance. Using your spear as an anchor you lift yourself into the air and over your spear. Upon impact surge energy into the ground again, sending a second shock wave through it. Pull the spear from the ground and swing it around in a circle, when you stop release an energy wave through the air to finally knock them down if they haven't fallen already.

Dagger

User Image

This style is based mostly around reacting to your opponent’s actions, using mostly counter-attacks to confuse and wear down your opponent.

Fast Hands
Rank: E
Description: A skill to be learned before continuing on with any other Dagger skills. This skill is passive once learned and enhances the speed of the user’s hands, allowing them to draw and sheathe their weapon quickly as is needed in such techniques that require a free hand to use. This in no way increases the user’s overall speed.

Fake Out
Rank: E
Description: This skill consists of one to several feint jabs or slices that do not actually contact the opponent. The attacks should be quick, sporadic and random to add to the confusion before an actual attack is made.

Gut Hook
Rank: D
Description: Use the blade of the dagger to push the opponent’s attack up and away then bring down the blade of the dagger to cut open the opponent’s stomach. Doesn’t work well against heavy weapons unless you have the strength to back it up.

High and Low
Rank: C
Description: Using your free hand push an opponent’s attack up and away from your body, putting yourself close enough for an attack. Unfortunately this allows only for a low-strike, given your position in relation to your opponent’s, so attack and move out or follow up with another attack.
Arm Wrestle
Rank: C
Description: Hold your non-dominant arm away from your body. When your opponent attacks move to the side and quickly grab his wrist. Then pull your opponent towards you and onto your blade.

Eight Ball
Rank: B
Description: This requires you to get close to the opponent, putting yourself past their defenses. You can either grab the opponent or not; a shoulder hold is recommended. You will then make eight quick successive stabs into your opponent’s body. Aim for joints, organs, and arteries to maximize the effect of the skill.

Giving the Run Around
Rank: A
Description: When your opponent attacks move to the side of their body, putting yourself in the position to run past him. With your free hand grab his wrist and twist your body so that you back is against their arm. This adds momentum into a stab into their back. Once contact is made release their wrist and run behind them, turn around and prepare to do the move again. This is a wear-down technique.

Whip

User Image

Fighting with a whip is like fighting with a lighter and flexible ax. You must keep your weapon always moving or lose the momentum of it. Constant movement keeps your opponent from grabbing the whip, or coming in too close for you to strike. Though the thong is not the only dangerous part of your weapon, so if your opponent does slip in for close combat, be sure to utilize a heavy handle to make him regret it. Skills in this style revolve mostly around deception and fronts so that your opponent does not know what to expect. The whip is like a snake, use it as one.

Blacksnake
Rank: E
Description: If your opponent gets too close to you, simply reverse your hold on the whip, so that the thong is facing backward. You can then strike your opponent with the handle of your whip, like a club.

Underhanded
Rank: E
Description: A deceptive skill. Placing energy through the length of your whip you make it seem like your weapon is longer than it actually is, keeping your opponent at a farther away distance. This can be used to begin more peaceful negotiations, or to give you time to set up a strategy.

Bruce Lee
Rank: D
Description: Similarly to Blacksnake, reverse your hold on the whip. But instead of grasping the handle, grip further down the thong so that the handle can move freely. Now simply swing the handle of your whip around like a nunchuk. Use only in close-combat situations, and pay attention to where your thong is, your opponent might grab it.

X-man
Rank: D
Description: A psychological advance. While moving forward quickly strike you whip in an ‘X’ pattern in front of you. Make sure your movement is fast and consistent. Your opponent will want to get away from the end of the whip and so should retreat, allowing you to catch them off-guard with a follow-up technique.

Gotcha!
Rank: D
Description: A simple technique that can be used at almost any moment. Striking out with your whip you do not retract it, instead allow the thong to wrap around an object (weapon, tree branch, limb, lamp, table, fork etc.). Once the item has been secured retract the whip with a strong movement. This can be used to throw things at your opponent, disarming your opponent, or cheating your opponent out of a limb. Caution when wrapping an opponent as he can easily undo the wrap and now he has your weapon!

Rope Dart
Rank: D
Description: Similar to the ‘Bruce Lee’ technique. Grabbing the very end of your whip you can use it as you would normally, only now the end of the whip is very hard and the momentum gathered from the movement and weight of it can break bones. However, it is slightly slower and movement and can be easily caught.

Hipshot
Rank: D
Description: Used mostly only at the beginning of a fight when facing an opponent with your whip on your hip. Keep your hands down at your waist to give a sense of peaceful intent. Grab the handle of your whip and toss it with great force, adding a little energy to help propel it forward allowing it to strike your opponent. This could break a nose or a hand or even knock your opponent unconscious, ending the fight before it even starts.

Sjambok
Rank: C
Description: Flowing energy through the thong of the whip to make it a bit stiffer. This allows for slightly stronger blows and makes the whip a little easier to control, however, this causes the whip to lose its cracking ability, so don’t expect to be cutting any skin with this technique.

Overcompensation
Rank: C
Description: A simple technique mainly used as a setup for something else. Using the same principles as Sjambok place energy into the thong starting from the base of the handle. This will cause it to stiffen to the same hardness as the handle. Congratulations, you now have a really long stick! This can be done partially as well, to increase the length of the handle to create more of a bullwhip feel to your weapon.

Curly-Q
Rank: C
Description: Carefully, so as not to injure yourself, draw the thong of the whip back and catch it in the same hand as the one holding the handle. If you are not using a long-handled whip, use Overcompensation to create one. Keeping the thong in a loose D-shaped loop you can strike your opponent, jab at him, or even block an attack. When blocking an attack you can use the loop to catch the approaching limb, such as his leg, and move the whip to toss him to the ground.

Stingray
Rank: B
Description: Without losing momentum the user switches their whip into their off hand and flicks their wrist back. As the thong travels back towards them they hold out their hand with a small pack in the palm. The end of the whip travels across their palm, opening the packet and coating the striking end of the whip with poison. As the thong recoils the user switches the whip back to their other hand. And follows through with a strike towards bare flesh. The illusion that the user is making a mistake, backing off, or attacking themselves should allow for a successful hit. Just make sure you aim for skin.

Hangman’s Noose
Rank: A
Description: This technique is deceptively similar to Gotcha. However, instead of wrapping, which the setup for can be identified by trained eyes, this is a nearly impossible-to-discern attack. Moving and cracking the whip as you would normally, craftily make a loop within the length of the thong. Pause only a moment to allow the loop to fall over your opponent’s head then quickly yank back on the handle to secure the thong around your opponent’s neck. This will then begin to suffocate them, and might even instantaneously crush their windpipe. Be sure you have enough room to walk backwards, because if your opponent moves forward the tension of the whip is lost and the loop will loosen. This can also be used for catching upraised arms or weapons for a sudden and surprise disarming.

Karma
Rank: S
Description: a very easy and amusing technique. It is very dangerous to use a whip without proper training, this makes good on that knowledge. Place only a small amount of energy into the very end of your whip. Perform several flashy sort of moves with your whip then pretend to drop it on accident. Allow your opponent to pick it up, and make sure to look like you’re in trouble. Now stand back and watch as your opponent injures himself by using the whip with you controlling the thong. Once you’ve had your fun, retract your energy to return the tip of the whip to your hand, possibly setting up for Rope Dart. Be aware though, your opponent might not let go, and it will turn into a tug-of-war that, depending on his strength, he might win. Then you will really be in trouble.

Angeles: We're going to break down each style one by one just to make sure we make it nice, starting with Spear:

Lieying Quanda, between Rank and Description put 'requires energy' just so that people KNOW that it requires energy to use.

Long Houjiaosheng, put requires energy, and you need to put what infusing the spear with the water element does. I know it says etc but with skills you gotta be specific, otherwise other people will do 'crazy' things with a skill that leaves so much open to interpretation.

Diyide Da, put requires energy, and since it specifically says a little energy, just put requires D rank energy cost

Dizhen put requires energy

Maotouying requires energy

Long Zhuazi requires energy

Zhenshi Kuaisu energy sweatdrop

San Xing energy

Dagger: Aproved XP

Now onto the whip:

Underhead: Energy

Sjambok Energy

Overcompensation: So basically this skill stiffens the whip and makes it into one big stick right?

Karma: Because it says little energy, requires D rank energy. Also, add that if the user knows how to use a whip by knowing up to C rank skills of the whip, the skill won't work
