*cue "The Great Revival" by Noriyuki Iwadare*

Eh. Been a while since I've given this place a glance. By the look of things, it seems like there's a little progress going on here. I find it difficult to put myself in here again, since I lost interest in this site, but this topic will be the single thread tying me to the site until something new shakes up the place. With that said, I'll be popping in infrequently. If you're interested, PM me for an RPG which I play occasionally (it's good, I can guarantee you that).

Anyway, guess I'll give this topic the ol' spark. wahmbulance

The painful truth. neutral

I've been deceived by GameStop, although it's no surprise. Not sure if anyone here has a Wii but I bought Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World since I was a geek for the original ToS only to find out about an hour later that I didn't get a receipt and I dislike the game and am slightly disappointed over the fact that their dialogue has like 5 second gaps in each sentence which makes it so difficult to stand. Should've just gotten No More Heroes 2.

Or does anyone have any suggestions? neutral

yeah... that game... only really gets 'good' near the end. i cant stand Emil for the life of me, he's so annoying!! been better off if he'd just stay in that demon form... either way, not a very good sequel for a great game.

i cant really suggest much cause i've been horribly neglecting my actually video games in the past year... so i haven't played anything new in awhile... i dp own No More Heroes2 and i havent even played it yet, even though i enjoyed the first one very much.

Red Steel2 is pretty good is you really want to get into the whole motion thing, the motions are pretty damn accurate.

dont know what else you're into, but i really enjoyed all the Mario games they have out for the Wii. XD

From what I've played so far, which hasn't been that much cause I sorta put it on Hard mode, it's good, and like I said, it's the dialogue that kills it cause it feels unnatural when they talk. Other than that, it's a bit better than ToS for obvious reasons, such as the Free Run, and being able to own monsters. I never was a fan of Lloyd, I hated using double swords cause it felt so weird, hence why I was always a Zelos freak (for several reasons excluding that his skits are funny). Emil is pretty good, although he does come off as quite arrogant, but still good. Like I said, I haven't gotten too into the story, although I know some bits, like how the original characters come and go, but other than that, I may change my mind with who I like most in the game. The game is decent, and I looked a bit into No More Heroes and saw that it wouldn't have been what I would've wanted, although I still plan on getting it.

My tastes vary a lot, and I've already searched all the Wii games on GameStop, I just wanted some references. Games that I have in mind to this moment though, are Monster Hunter Tri, Super Smash Bros Brawl (would've gotten it hands down if it were there when I bought ToS biggrin NW), and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. So far though, there aren't that many titles that interest me for the Wii, most are stuck in the DS. Thankfully, efforts are being made to sort of transfer them.

ah Zelos, personally i think he should've been the main character, he's hilarious.

SSBB is a awesome game, been a fan of the series since the N64. and yeah, i'm looking forward for that new Zelda as well.
have you looked into the Trauma Center games? i tried them and really liked them, might have something to do with the animeish feel to them, but they were pretty damn fun.
you like RPGs, like me, if you can find Dragon Quest Swords. kinda meh game, but the idea they had needs be used more often.

and love the DS! cant wait for the 3DS!! blaugh

Lol Zelos as the main would've been interesting. I always had him set as my avatar and fighter, so it was basically that way for me. p: I'm sorta glad Namco took the Zelos route for ToS2, but I also wanted Kratos around. He would've made a great addition.

SSBB is alright. I played it a couple of times, but I'm not crazy over it mainly because of the feel. It feels way too... not sure how to say it but it feels too smooth, maybe it's the graphics, but the way they move and everything is just too different. In my opinion, Melee will always be better. Marth & Link <3

Actually, I'm not looking forward to the new tLoZ, especially since they downgraded the graphics to crap that looks like... well... crap. I would've been fine if they went for Wind Waker graphics though, WW was good, but they should've kept the TP graphics, that was by far the best game imo. It even inspired me to start a game of my own (long ago).

Yeah, Trauma Center keeps coming up everywhere I look but I'm not too into stuff like that anymore. Not sure how serious the game gets but it looks too linear and would probably get boring within a few days.

I actually have a broad taste in games, but I reside more into stuff that has a lot of flexibility in their physics. In other words, I want to be able to do almost anything in a game, such as run around wherever I please, look at whatever I want, and so on. I think Monster Hunter would definitely fit that criteria although I've only seen trailers. But other than that, I do like a lot of RPGs, although I don't go as far as buying any game I see, cause I've seen a couple of RPGs that look a lot like rip-offs of Tales Of and some other games, which, to me, are the same s**t all over, just different faces, and that gets disappointing. So I stick to titles I know until I see otherwise.

Oh, and another game type I'm into is something along the lines of Ghost Trick. Great game, although I've only played the demo, and haven't been able to emulate it.
