Having been accompanied by Asheris, the Kitsusagi family guardian angel (despite him disliking the title), Maeve Aria paused a moment on the worn path to look over her shoulder to see two of her kits bounding over themselves and anything in their path to catch up.
It seemed like yesterday when the eggs from her and Adonis' brood had hatched to reveal three lovely kits. While two of the three were being raised by herself, the third was with a trusted friend of her Guardian-Caretaker, Laisewiel. It made her happy that one of her children was with another, she had hopes that the little would learn much and experience things that could be shared with Rouge�tre and �carlate-sang when the three rejoined in family reunions.
Turning to the young ones with her as they bounced around in bundles of energy, she tossed her head and padded forward, "Let's keep moving, Rouge�tre, �carlate-sang.
Batting his green bangs out of his eyes, �carlate-sang looked to his sister who shook out her fur and sat not too far from him. Looking to his mother, he cocked his head to the side and said, "My feet hurt, Momma."
Flexing her paws before nodding in agreement with her brother, Rouge�tre piped, "Me--!"
Before Rouge�tre could finish, Asheris swooped down and lifted her up, catching her offguard. "Come along, Rouge.. You can ride on my back till we get there, ok?"
Smiling as Asheris took up her daughter, Maeve Aria knelt down and hoisted her son up onto her back before taking to the path.
They hadn't walked long, but the endurance of youngsters have an interesting away of running out sometimes. They only had a few more meters to go before reaching the a rather nice glade where the kits could play. "It's just a bit further, we're almost there!"
