Sabra paced nervously in her bedroom. Really she wanted to go hide somewhere. But she had already called a meeting tonight, so there was no back out. How would they take her news? Would they be angry or happy? Or sad? "Ugh." The young woman raked her hands through her hair before sitting down. This was the first time that she had ever found herself getting an addition to the family without Moose being involved. Honestly, she hadn't even known what to do herself when the letter came.
At first she had believed it to be just a check up. But then as she read the letter from the labs, Sabra had just shook her head. Another offer? Wasn't it enough that she had three already? The woman tossed the letter in the floor before looking down again. "I must be insane." She muttered before picking up the letter and grabbing her keys.
"It was worth it." She whispered though by now she was lying on the bed with her head in her hands. "Definitely. But - what if they get angry? Oooh! I hope they don't get angry!" Her soft wails made a shadow in the corner move.
"You kay?" Pale pink eyes blinked nervously at her. "I'm sorry."
"No, sweetie it's not your fault." Sabra pushed herself from the bed and patted the girl's hair. "It'll be fine, kay?" She smiled, "Just wait here and I'm going to get everyone ready to meet you."
She turned towards the door and felt a small tug on her pants, "Be careful, Sabra."
"I will." Sabra smiled, "Just be patient okay, Avani?"
"Kay."
-----------------------------------------------------
Tally ran. "Shoot, shoot!" The preteen looked down at her watch. She had wanted to be home almost an hour ago! It was already six and Sabra had wanted them all home by now. Something about a 'family meeting'. Tally sighed. "I hope everythings alright." At least she wasn't in trouble. Or at least she couldn't think of anything that she had done...recently.
It looked like she would just have to find out.
"Good." Tally smiled as she saw their home. She had made it just in time.
------------------------------------------------------
Aile was sitting beside Kieran in the twins' room. She didn't mind the fact that they were practically sitting on each other since the window seat allowed the last of the evening sunlight to shine inside. As long as Kieran didn't bother her or block the sun she was fine with it.
Kieran was currently reading another one of those weird music books. Aile had peeked at it a couple of times, but didn't understand what was so important about the weird symbols.
Ah, at least she was content to stare outside. Though Tally was now running to the front door. Wasn't there a meeting or something happening tonight? Aile looked to ask Kieran but shrugged. Eh, she'd find out soon enough.

Charlotte ran a comb through her damp hair as she looked at her relfection in the mirror. She'd gotten the call while she was at work about the family meeting, and now that she was home and freshly showered, she couldn't help wondering what it was about. "She isn't moving out, is she?" Charlie laid the brush down on the counter, moving to tighten the drawstring on her pajama pants. "Nah, can't be. But then what....? It must be pretty big if she didn't tell me over the phone."
She turned when she heard a door open and close, then passed a smile to Lissy as she exited her room. The teen was scratching her shorter tentacle, giving it some well needed attention as she approached her guardian. "Whats up? Did you just get home?"
"A while ago, ya. Hey...do you know what the meetings about?" Unlike herself, Lissy had been home all day.
Elisabetta just shook her head. "Not a clue. She sounded worried when she told me, though."
"Well, I'm sure it's not that bad." Seeing that her daughter was worried, Charlotte threw an arm around Lissy's shoulders. "Come on. Let's go get something to eat while we wait. I'm starving!"
--------
"This is how we wash our hands, wash our hands, wash our hands~ This is how we wash our hands so early in the- Oh, wait." Cera looked up from the sink and shrugged. "Oh well. It's still cute." The teenager dried her hands off on a dish towel and turned back to face the kitchen. Dinner tonight wasn't going to be as grand as she had planned, but it was nice enough.
She wanted all of the attention on her cooking, but tonight was Sabra's meeting, so it would have to wait. Even though she was a bit miffed, she was still curious. What was going to say?
-------
Roman was stretched out on his bunk playing a handheld game. He gave a satisfying grunt everytime his character killed a boss, but when the tides turned he threatened to kill the machines instead. It was an older model, something Lissy had from her old house that she thought he might like. Turns out, he couldn't seem to put it down.
Unlike everyone else in the house, he didn't know about the meeting because he'd blocked out everyone for the past three days. FATALITY! "Argh!"

"Okay." Sabra pulled her hair back into the ponytail before walking down the hallway. Taking a deep breath she peeked into the twins room and smiled. "Hey guys. Ready for dinner?"
Aile blinked up at Sabra before shrugging. "Guess so."
Kieran sighed as he put down the book, "Alright." The spawn looked up at the bunk bed towards his twin, "Good luck seperating him from that."
Sabra frowned before looking over at Roman, "Bring it with you if you want, but I have some important news to announce before dinner. Be there in five?" She asked one more time before leaving the room.
Kieran shook his head. "Fine. Come on, Roman."
"Get up." Aile punched Roman lightly before slipping back down and running out of the room.
-------------------------------------------
"You cooking tonight?" Tally asked Cera as she headed into the kitchen. Tally had managed to throw her stuff into her room and even changed into cleaner clothes before making her way to the kitchen. Looked like she made good time too.
Out of curiosity Tally moved closer and looked at her older sister, "So...have any idea what's going on with this whole meeting business?"
------------------------------------------
Clutching her letter from the labs Sabra finaly starting to make her way towards the dinning room. This was going to be fine. Perfectly fine. She repeated silently to herself before heading upstairs.

"I heard that." Roman didn't bother looking down because he didn't care. New level! And now...he could save. "It's cool, I'm done anyway." He flipped the switch to shut it off and rolled to the side of the top bunk to look down only to find that she was gone.
When Aile climbed up and punched him, he was ready to kick her, but decided not to. "Comin'." Shimmying to the side, he jumped off the edge and used his wings as buffers to land smoothly on the floor before following after them.
-------------------------------------------
Cera chopped the last of the onions and slid them into a large pot of vegetable soap. She smiled, still concentrating on her work. "I thought I might as well. I wasn't doing anything else. What about you? Did you just get home?"
She shook off the chunks still remaining on the cutting board and sat it in the sink before turning to her younger sister. "I don't know either." She bit her lip. "I just hope it's something good.
------------------------------------------
Just as Sabra was heading upstairs, Charlotte and Elisabetta were going downstairs from the top floor. They hesitated for a second, then Charlotte nudged Lissy and they both walked into the kitchen.
"Tally!" Lissy ran towards her little sister and threw her arms around the shorter girl, pulling her straight towards her bosom for a hug. Her longer tentacle wrapped around the girls waist.

Well that was no fun. Aile frowned before leading the way to the kitchen. Probably better that they didn't fight anyways with it being dinner time and Sabra calling for a meeting after all.
Peering into the kitchen Kieran slipped in and looked around. "Smells good, Cera." He commented before climbing up into a chair to make himself comfortable.
-----------------------------
"Well it smells like a good idea." Commented Tally with a grin. "I just hope you made enough for an army, I'm starving!" She nodded, "Yeah, I just got back from ice skating."
Hearing more people come in the preteen turned. Was Sabra here yet? Nope. "Lissy!" Tally laughed before she drowned in Lissy's cleavage. Antenna flickering Tally wiggled for breathing space before patting the tentacle.
-------------------------
Sabra hesitated before walking down towards the kitchen. She could do this. Taking a deep breath she nodded. "Alright." Hearing voices Sabra smiled. Seemed like everyone was here.
"Hey guys." She waved as she walked in. "What's up?"

Roman took a sniff and smiled. He bypassed his family completely to take his seat next to Kieran at the table. "Really good." Since his go around with the flu, the spawn had taken to appreciating soup more than he ever had.
Cera beamed at all the attention she was getting. "Thanks! I hope everyone brought their appetites because theres plenty to go around. She almost dropped the ladle when she saw how Lissy greeted Tally, and hesitated only briefly before moving on with her business.
"Oh don't worry about that. I'm hungry enough a hippo!" Elisabetta giggled as she snuggled Tally close. Even though she was close to everyone in the house, she would always have a special place in her heart for her little 'sister'. She nuzzled the preteen on the head with her nose before letting her go. The longer tentacle rubbed up to Tally's touch before it was pulled away.
Moose dug around in the fridge for a bottle of juice and popped out when her roommated appeared. Maybe now was the time. "Oh you know, same ol', same ol'." Charlotte waved her juice in the air as she kicked the fridge door closed. "What about you?"

Unconsciously leaning towards Roman, Kieran watched everyone with a small grin. It was definitely a busy time when everyone was in the same room like this. Watching Lissy and Tally, Kieran smiled. Now if he could get those hugs everytime. The boy laughed quietly at Cera's obvious reaction before being distracted by Sabra.
"Meh." Aile looked at the stew with a small frown. While it smelt good, she just didn't have the appetite (something that was completely normal for her). Was there any salad? Well she could pick out her meat and toss it into Tally's bowl. Content with that she tried to get Cera's attention, "A glass of water?"
Tally grinned at Lissy, "I hope you're ready to fight for it then." She teased before heading towards the fridge herself. Now there should be some more juice or tea. Frowning Tally mulled over her options before grabbing a bottle and a glass. Why not have both? She would definitely drink it. Even with Sabra now in the room, the preteen focused on her drink. There was no need to be nervous right?
"That's good." Sabra held the letter awkwardly in her hands. Everyone was here. She smiled. How was it that their house was already so full? She could remember when she first moved in with Moose. Tally had just been a toddler then and Lissy had come to them as a child. Now they had the girls plus another teen, two children, and a toddler. Not to mention the new addition....
The thought made her focus. "Well no one is in trouble." She smiled before looking back down at the letter, "And we're still in the house. Or should I say the house is still standing?" Sabra shook her head, "Anyway. I wanted you guys to know that there's another change coming to our group, our family." She laughed weakly, "Or should I say it's already here?" She tossed the letter, one that she knew her friend would quickly recognize, to Moose, "Here. I guess you should read it now."

Where as Kieran was envious of the hug that Lissy gave Tally, Roman was appaled. How could she do that? To her own sister! It was so...weird. And the worst part was, he knew he was next. Unlike when he was younger, he didn't outright hate Lissy, he just didn't like all of her touchy feely-ness.
Cera nodded to Aile. "Sure, and don't worry, I've got you covered." She held up a little bowl of salad filled with all the things she knew that Aile would actually eat. Nimbly avoiding the mass gathering in the kitchen, she got a cup of water for the toddler and walked it over to her. "There you go, Aile." With a smile, she kissed the top of the little girls head and went back to her stew.
"Bring it on, little girl." Lissy stretched her arms above her head with a satisfying pop! The Lust spawn walked over to her spot at the table, stopping only to give Roman the dreaded boob hug. "Little brother! Stop fighting it and let me hug you."
"No! Go put on a real shirt first. I can see straight through it!"
"Really? Thats great!" She pushed his offending arms away and smothered him in affection.
Charlotte hopped up onto the counter and crossed her legs at the ankle. She took a long drink of her water as she waited for Sabra to talk. Was it going to be something so horrible that it would change everything? Or something good? She turned to her children, putting a finger up to her mouth to silence them when all they wanted to do was argue.
Charlotte caught the letter, and without looking down at it, grinned. "Do I even have to? It's pretty obvious by now. Who else sends out letters that add to families?" She shook her head and saw the letter down at her side, taking a long drink before responding in a more somber tone," Is it already here? How long have you had this letter?"

Aile actually smiled, "Thanks, Cera." The toddler flushed lightly at the affection before sipping on her water.
"Oh it's already been brought." Tally replied popping her knuckles with a grin. Walking over to the table she set down her drinks and latched onto Kieran. "Hope you've been behaving yourself, Key." She commented with a laugh before letting go.
Kieran just playfully rolled his eyes at her before settling back down in his seat.
"I got the letter about a couple of days ago." Sabra replied softly with her hand tugging on a loose strand of hair, "So it's okay? I mean you're not mad at me, Charlotte?" She looked sheepishly at her friend. "I meant to tell you earlier, but I never got the chance. But I'll work hard to keep up with everything! I mean-" She looked at all six of their kids, "I guess you guys should know."
Taking a deep breath Sabra looked back out into the hallway, "Ava! It's okay!" She smiled at everyone, "I want you guys to know that we have a new addition to our group."
A small floating light peeked into the kitchen and was followed by a toddler with glowing pink eyes. Seeing everyone she paled and turned to go back out. "Avani." Sabra laughed before slipping down from the counter to drag the girl back into the kitchen, "Everyone, this is Avani."
Blinking the toddler smiled, "Umm...nice to meet you everyone." She clutched Sabra's hand. Was it really okay? Would they like her like Sabra said? As she looked around, the orbs that had followed her downstairs spiraled upwards into the ceiling before vanishing.
Kieran's gaze followed the orbs before returning to the toddler. Another sister? Would they ever get any more boys? He sighed before smiling at her. Oh, well at least she looked interesting.
Aile just stared.
Tally rose halfway from her seat before pausing to look over at Lissy. Another new little sister? It was hard to believe how big their 'family' of sorts was getting. But she wasn't mad, rather happy to see the toddler. "Hi, Avani." She waved, "Welcome to the mad house."
"Tally!" Sabra shook her head before laughing, "Jeesh."
Tally grinned, "Come over here little sis. We're about to have dinner, so sit with me."
Letting go of her hand, Sabra ushered Avani forward. "It's okay." She whispered, "They don't really bite...too badly."

Cera smiled and stuck close to the table, since the kitchen area seemed to be where the drama was going down. Sensitive little thing that she was, Cera didn't want to be around if something bad happened.
Charlotte frowned. "Why didn't you tell me then?" She hopped off the bar and ran a hand through her head while simultaneously rolling her eyes up to the ceiling with a sigh. "It's fine with me, I mean, we have plenty of room, but how are we going to afford it?" She brought her eyes down on her friend with a worried smile. They were already stretched pretty thin as it was and now...
Admittedly, though, when Sabra brought Avani into the kitchen she was curious. And that little light thing- that was definately new. Charlotte approached the pair and bent down with a smile. "Hello, Avani." She stepped back to watch Tally take her away, then slipped her arm around Sabra's shoulder for a noogy. "Really, kid? Realy? If we keep on, we'll have our own reality show." She laughed.
Roman's eye started to tick. Another girl? Really? It wasn't so bad when Aile came because she wasn't as girly, but it didn't look like he would get off as lucky this time.
Lissy stood up from her seat when she met Tally's eyes. It was bitter sweet of her, to meet a new sister when she would be moving out so soon, but exciting never the less. "Hey, why don't we just push our chairs together and she can sit in the middle?" She stroked her larger tentacle. "It makes for a good booster seat."
Cera clapped her eyes. "Oh! Oh! I can break out the good bowls." She rushed excitedly to the cabinets, reaching out for a matching set of porcelin bowls.

Sabra played nervously with a strand of hair, "I'll find a way." She whispered with a small smile that mirrored Charlotte's. "Don't worry, it'll work." Her gaze went to the side, a tell tale sign that she was thinking very carefully over something else. Though what she was thinking about exactly; that she didn't even know herself. Not yet anyway.
"Oh gawd!" Sabra laughed before poking Charlotte in the side, "Hey if we could...do you get paid for reality shows?" She joked.
"That'll work!" Tally beamed at Lissy before following her advice, "Come on Avani. It'll be okay." She motioned towards the suddenly shy toddler who took a hesitant step towards the girls.
Kieran just sighed. How this was going to work out the child didn't know, but he really hoped that Sabra or Charlotte would figure out something soon. Else they'd be all getting jobs at this rate. The idea made him cringe. Though as the twin caught his other half's expression he couldn't help but to comment, "Next time we pick the new kid."
Aile just watched Cera though at random she would turn to the side to get another good look at the new 'sister'.

Charlotte wasn't so sure. She knew that at some point everything would break, but for now she had little choice, but to ride the tide.
In the beginning, it had been the two of them in a little apartment. Then came Tally, and Lissy and now...they were renting a house that was already starting to feel the strain. When would it end? "If we did, I would have already signed a contract." She laughed. "Anyway, move your butt. It's time to eat."
Was she going to give him cooties? Fry him with those light things? Roman's head flopped onto his palm with a heavy sigh. Nothing that cool would happen around her, he just knew it. He lethargically nodded towards Kieran before turning back to the table, "Agreed."
