I've avoided charities since a friend of mine had a bad experience with one. I stick to the ones in the NSTG, not that I dislike the ideas of charities in general.

Oh what happened? D:
I had to kick someone out of my charity,
So annoying!
She was like to one of the regulars,
"YOU PROMISED TO DONATE ME 100K!"
Regular, "No I said I would Booty grab you 50k,"
Noob, "NUUH UHH!"
And a whole bunch of crap happened and I kicked her out,
THEN, heaps of people came <3
and she was all like, "DONT COME HERE NO ONE DONATES HERE,"
BULLFUNGUS! Has she not checked the front page. talk2hand

She was like me in terms of inventory before she quit Gaia- she had a lot of stuff just kinda lingering around. She was a frequent donor in this particular charity, and I guess the owner and mods there came to expect her donations. When she stopped donating and just became a visitor, they started harassing her for donations and telling their regulars to contact her directly for donations and etc etc even after she'd said she wasn't going to donate any more because she needed her funds for a contest and things that she wanted for herself.
When she tried to sever ties with them after that, they became verbally abusive and accused her of being selfish. It was a well off charity at the time, I don't know if it's around anymore and I don't remember the name of it D; I think I deleted all the PM's that she forwarded to me when she was looking for advice.

@Day ; THAT IS SO STUPID. I have never heard of a charity where people do that. Usually the owners get harassed for donations. It's a good thing that the charity is not around anymore. My charity is only a couple months old, and the person who donates and gets funds for giveaways is me, I never annoy people for donations. Those people should be ashamed of themselves. I don't visit many other charities, but I do lurk G.I.F.T. a lot now, too lazy to post, I love the owner she is a very generous and trustworthy person. @John ;  It is in THE list of charities xD It's pretty dead, most of the regulars went off to their quest threads. <:

█ I never visited charities when I was new because I would have had to pretend to like people. I stuck to contests xD I still do luck based contests OTL

I visited one or two but only to stop in and say 'hi'- I never really applied for anything or tried to get anything out of the charities.
