 Hazumi woke with a start. Once again the dream about his mother plagued him. Since leaving the Tribe every once in a wile he would have the same dream. Not wanting to think about it any more he got to his feet and shook his head. When he finished he figured he should go and get a drink of water. Every time he had a nightmare when he was young his mother would bring him water to calm him down.
Making his way out of his den that happened to be a burrow inside a hollowed out tree he noticed that it wasn't quite dawn yet. Looking up into the sky he could dawn was close at had by the light orange tent coming over the mountains. It was quiet like it was just about every morning and cool. No doubt the sun would soon take it away though. Moving on he headed down a short path that lead to a small pond.

 Subira lazily floated in the water on her back, watching as the sun slowly began to rise. It was quite peaceful at this time of morning, and it gave the vixen time to think about her family. She missed them. It was a bit hard growing up with one parent in a tribe and the other tribeless. She didn't get to grow up with all of her siblings, and spent most of her time in the tribe with her Dad. Still, it wasn't the hardest of lives.
"Mmmmm~" Sighing, Subira flipped over and paddled to the pond's edge, pulling herself up on the gravel and shaking out her fur. A gentle breeze made her shiver... and made her freeze. There was the scent of another fox. Quickly, Subira whirled towards the scent to see the outline of a male fox coming her way. It was still to dark to see him good, though, but by his stance she could tell he wasn't a threat. Sitting down, she waited.

Moving through the trees Hazumi made his way to the pond. Of course he wasn't exactly watching where he was going. Head down and watching as the ground passed beneath him he thought about his nightmare. The dream had been reoccurring and by his count this was the third time having it... did it mean something? He only stopped when a breeze ran through his fur and on the breeze was a scent. He looked up as his ears went up.
Standing a few feet away was a female. He had not even noticed her. If it hadn't been for the wind he probably would have never noticed her at all. He stood for a moment frozen trying to think of what to do. Should he approach her? Should he just ignore her or go on with what he was doing? So many things raced through his mind.
"Hello...?" Was of course the only thing that came out of his mouth and he was mentally slapping himself for it.

Subira smiled. "Hello! Good morning, stranger.~" She nodded at him, then looked at the sunrise. "Pretty out, isn't it?"
Tail wagging gently, she looked back at the male. His coat was quite different from what she was used to, but then again she had a wolf on her hip and no room to talk. Blinking, Subira took in the rest of the males looks. Something had him upset, this was obvious or he wouldn't have gotten so close without knowing she was there. Chewing on her lip out of worry for the stranger, she hoped everything was ok.

"Good morning to you as well." Hazumi smiled weakly. He would have normally been in a better mood if it hadn't been for his dream. He then turned his attention in the direction the female was looking and spotted the sunrise. "It is pretty out..."
He looked back at the Female. He was rather surprised by her actions. Most of the females he came across wouldn't have easily started a conversation with him. He would never hurt a girl but for some reason when he tried to talk to them they often walked off leaving him. She was different however.
"Um... so what are you doing out here so early?" He tilted his head to the side trying to strike up a conversation.

"Taking a swim~" Subira smiled at him. "I know it sounds silly, a lot of foxes I've met are like cats and hate the water! I like it though. Well, warm water, anyway!" She giggled, realizing she was about to start acting like Champagne and talking this stranger's ears off.
"What are you doing up, if I may ask? Are you feeling ok?"

Tilting his head to the side he listened to her talk. It was rather interesting. She seemed to talk rather fast and got straight to the point. Most of the foxes he ran into didn't talk that way at all. It was kinda entertaining and he couldn't help but chuckled at the way she spoke.
"Swimming is fun... when its warm." he agreed. "Um... nothing much..." He shrugged. "I just came to get some water... i didn't really... have a good night..." He glanced up at her. He was surprised that she was concerned for him when she didn't even know him.

"Oh!" Well, she had already guessed this. Poor fox... Quickly, her violet eyes scanned every inch of the male's fur for scratches or blood, or even a missing tuft somewhere to indicate a fight. She was relieved to find him un-scathed, which probably meant either he was in an argument or had a bad dream. Either way, Subira didn't want to pry.
The vixen padded up to the male and rested a comforting paw on his shoulder. "Well, the night is over now, so we can make this a good day!" She genuinely hoped everything would be ok for this fox, it was just in her nature.

HIs tail moved lightly form side to side. It wasn't an enthusiastic or excited movement but rather one of sadness. He watched as she looked him over. In a way he found a blush to creep across his muzzle. He had never had a female look over him like she did. What was she looking for?
"Mm... a good day..." He looked at her paw on his shoulder then her. In a way her paw was comforting. He smiled as his tail started to wag faster. "Yeah your right. This can be a good day."

"Of course it can! You already made a new friend!" Smiling, Subira moved her paw to gently poke the male's chest to accent her words. "My name is Subira, by the way. My sister calls me Suba sometimes, though." The vixen smiled again, thinking of Freya, her closest sister. She felt so lucky to have her, and all her other siblings.
"Do you have a family? Brothers, sisters?" Subira asked, padding over to the pond to take a drink for herself. If this male did have family, she figured she would really like to meet them, to see what they look like, and what the parents look like too! This fox's pelt was so... well, she couldn't say 'pretty', that was to girly. Certainly stunning! Subira loved purple, too~

Hazumi smiled at her words. They made him feel better and he was glad to hear that she wanted to be his friend.
"My name his Hazumi..." He chuckled. "I like you name. Subira... its vary fun to say." He followed her over to the pond and leaned in drinking from it. He only pulled away to answer her question abut his family. "Actually yes... I have... well..." He thought about it. It was rather hard to explain. "I have two mothers, two brothers... me and my brothers came from them... then I have a step dad and grandma and grandpa..."

"It means 'rewarded patience!" Subira chirped at the compliment of her name. "Wow, two mothers? How does the step-dad come into play?" She wasn't being nosey, she was just curious.
The vixen also wanted to keep Hazumi talking, to keep his mind off his bad night. She really did want to know what happened to him, but... again, she wasn't one to pry.

"Oh... Well... Its kinda weird..." he though about it himself. "My mom kinda had this thing with a girl Phim... and we were born... wile she was in a Tribe..." He blinked not really understanding the concept himself. "Then the Elder, my step dad fell for my mom... and thats kinda how he comes in..." He leaned in to take another drink from the pond. "Its kinda confusing."

Subira frowned. That was confusing! "Wow! Yeah, my mother had a sort-of fling with another fox, so I got some step-siblings. Actually, that's how she met my dad. He somehow ended up taking care of one of my step-brothers, and Mum found him and they fell in love." She smiled. "It's sweet, I think!"
Biting her tongue again to keep from talking too much, she mimicked Hazumi and took another drink herself. "Sun's coming up~" She observed.

He smiled happily at the female. It was funny to hear that her mother had the same situation that his had. What were the odds of that? That was interesting to him.
"It is sweet." He chuckled. He was feeling allot better now that she had shown up. "Hm?" He then turned his attention to where she was looking and spotted the sunrise as well. "Your right... i've always liked sunrises."
