Maridi Mokovu wandered under the moonlight, the stars were bright and the sky cloudless. No wind stirred and the air was still warm from the day. All around him were piles and mounds of rocks creating what seemed to be a small valley. He climbed high up onto one rock to see what was before him. It was hard to see anything at all with it being so dark and the rocks hiding many things below him. He knew anyone could have seen him up on that rock with the moon shining down on his white pelt. He shook a little and leaped back down the rocks into the darkness.
He walked on, kicking rocks along as he went. He did not care about the noise he made or who he attracted. In fact he wouldn't mind some company right now. He stumbled upon a nice clearing where some grass lightly grew and the rocks surrounded him. Above the sky was open and endless and it seemed as though the stars could never shine as bright as they were. He sat in the middle and looked up, taking in what he could see.

The moonlight made traveling easy for the white lioness. Zenobia had once again resumed her wandering. Tonight she'd come across a rock strewn field. She oozed quietly among them, barely making an noise. Not actually hunting Zeno was using it as stealth practice.
A glint of white caught her red eyes. She paused completely still as she figured out what it was. Her mind registered a lion outline against the starry sky. Had she once again traversed into a pride's territory? She didn't remember any markers of such.
The lion was making a fair bit of noise as he made his way through the rocks. It allowed the lioness to follow him without being spotted herself. Why was he being so careless? She tracked him to a small grassy clearing. Perhaps he is meeting someone, she thought doubtfully.
Zeno hadn't scented any other lions around. She climbed up to sit on a rock and watch him.

Mokovu made himself comfy in the open clearing, the rocks closing in on every side like tidal waves. It was so serene being in this clearing with nothing but rocks around and only the sky above. He closed his eyes and listened to his tail swish across the grass. A small breeze whined in between the rocks and slightly ruffled his fur. It was so beautiful out, nothing was on his mind.
He finally opened his eyes again to look around, he seemed so alone. It almost in a way behind the beauty felt eerie. Even though it was creepy this place was hauntingly beautiful. He looked back up and whispered something softly to the stars before closing his eyes again and resting his head. He was not asleep just relaxing and taking in this beautiful night.

Zeno watched him for a little bit longer. She decided it wouldn't be polite not to make her presence known. The lioness cleared her throat softly. She didn't want to startle him too much. It was a very calm and tranquil night. There was no reason to ruin it.
She deicided to stay perched up on her rock. It would be safer for her that was if he did decide to turn violent.

Mokovu turned his body so he laid on his back, he stretched his legs out before letting them rest. His eyes opened to look at the sky, it was serene. He felt so relaxed and open here in the clearing, even a few fireflies had decided to come out and share the light. He had at first mistaken them for stars until they started flashing and moving around. He gave a slight laugh at his foolishness, it had been so long since he felt like this. It reminded him of his youth when he used to live in the cold regions of Africa.

The lioness watches as the lion rolled over and stretched out his legs. She gave a soft laugh at the sight of him. Deciding that it was indeed safe she jumped down and made her way to the clearing.
"Hello there." She said quietly, not wanting to disturb the peacefulness or startle the lion.

Mokovu quickly found himself kicking in the air to turn over as he heard someone nearby. He could not help but feel startled in the sense of being embarrassed."Hello" He said somewhat friendly but confused as he finally got on his feet. He almost got knocked over as he looked at who had spoken to him. A beautiful white lioness with silver markings and jewelry. She was pale like the moon and the light made her glow, she had deep red eyes. He dipped his head in respect to the newcomer. He could not help but feel a flush of heat in his cheeks, she must have been watching him for a while.

Zenobia stifled another giggle. He looked just liked a cub. She approached a step or two closer then settled herself down. As he bowed politely to her, which she secretly enjoyed, she took the chance to look him over closely.
Almost pure white like herself, with just a hint of pink. She wondered if he was from around here. He wasn't aggressive or standoffish in the least, which she liked.
"I hope I didn't disturb you any. You seemed so relax down here." In truth the night was indeed quite calm and peaceful.

Mokovu eyed the female more closely, her silver jewellry was decored with red gems that seemed to go with her eyes. And her silver patterns like wings on her back and vines wrapping up her legs. She was unique looking, he liked that. He came out of his bow and stood to face her. "No not at all, the night is still young and as peaceful as ever...your company is greatly welcomed around here" He said as he quickly looked up to the sky. He glanced back at her and beckoned his head at her. He a rose to his paws and pushed his way back to his spot in the clearing. There he settled down to lay and left a spot for her, he knew she was not trouble. Besides this night was to beautiful to waste spending it under the trees or in the caves.
He turned back to see if she was coming and gave a faint smile, his eyes seemed to have this nice glow under the moonlight.

Zenobia felt a little unease with the flattery, though mild that it was. She tried to hide the feeling from her expression as she came to sit in the clearing. After meeting another lion and almost being pulled in by the flattery into something she wasn't sure that she wanted just yet, Zenobia was cautious. Still, nothing said she couldn't leave if things got uncomfortable.
"Thank you. The moon certainly shines brightly tonight." She settled down with her tail wrapped around her paws. Zeno noticed him looking at her from the corner of her eye and she gave a small smile.

He smiled at her as she joined him in the clearing. He hoped his words were not to forward, he was usually more quiet but something about a full moon made him feel different, something special and new inside. "Indeed it seems no clouds will hide it's light this fine night" He said as he glanced back up into the endless sky. It was dazzling how much light seemed to appear across sky on this dark night. He looked back at her briefly to notice her smiling, it made him shift a little. He quickly looked back up and glanced at the stars as they started to form shapes.
"My name is Baridi Mokovu, call me Mokovu or Kovu" He said as he felt it was proper to introduce himself. He was glad he had company to talk to, no matter who it was. It was just a bonus it happened to be a beautiful lioness.

"That makes a fine night for hunting." While she had no interest in hunting tonight, she often hunted on bright moon nights. Zeno gazed up at the twinkling stars nearly out shined by the moon. "Don't you feel a little sad for them? They try so hard to be seen, however, the moon nearly hides them."
"A pleasure to meet you Kovu. My name's Zenobia. So what do you do? Belong to a pride around here?" It would be good to know if he had knowledge of the lay of the land.

He nodded at her words about the stars, it was true. The moon did always outshine them "Indeed, but they wont ever stop shining even when the clouds hide the moon the still shine enough to have themselves seen. They shine in numbers..." He said as his voice trailed off into a soft whisper. It was so beautiful how much they shone, even with the moon they sparkled bright. And so many of them spread across the sky like a sea of little white stars. He couldn't help but grin at the thought of how big they must really be up close, he always had such silly thoughts.
"A delight to meet you Zenobia, I am actually a Rogue of these lands I am just travelling and meeting new people and seeing new places. I am what you can say in search of something...I just don't know what yet. i know these lands well but I know it's not what I am looking for. What about you?" He asked the lioness, he was quite happy to answer her questions and was just as happy to ask the same of her.

Zeno giggled. "Do they really shine when we can't see them? I've always wondered." She thought they turned off when they couldn't be seen. Why keep shining when no one could appreciate it?
"Oh. I'm a rogue too. I like to travel. Settling down isn't for me, I think. Could you tell me something of the area? Places to avoid and stuff like that." She looked at him hopefully.

He listened to her speak and soon her own thoughts and questions filled his own head. "I wonder..." He said quietly to himself. As she spoke about settling isn't for her he wondered if that was the same for him. But when ever he choose not to settle he felt like he didn't till he found what he was looking for. Maybe once he found it he would settle down.
"Try to stay away from the south rocks their filled with deadly creatures and the east field has poisonous plants...It's best to travel north cause of the prey, water, and easy paths." He told recalling his past few adventures he had spent in this area.
