Baridi Mokovu looked around from where he was laying. The day has turned to night and with it cold winds that sent shivers through his whole body. He had slept so long, it seems the heat and lack of water had gotten to him. He never had difficulty finding food, it seemed that water was scarce or he was bad at tracking it. He found enough strength to stand up and try to focus on where he could get water. The night was cool and cold but it felt refreshing form the brutal heat the sun brought upon him.
He walked over to what seemed to be a random bunch of trees and ferns. They brought promise of water nearby. He walked over, it was like a small dense forest. He started searching for any source of water he could find. Finally he came upon a small pool at the base of a tree and eagerly he lapped at it. He let his guard up, he didn't even check if he was alone. He snapped his head up as the though seeped into his head. He was so blind sometimes and often still foolish. He still tended to make mistakes like that.

Kiflamen'Koto was laying beside the small pool at the base of the tree. The lion's pink mane was stained with blood as he had just finished with one hell of a meal. His own hunting skills never seemed to let him down.
When he heard something approaching he readied himself with his hackle's up to show that he was not one to be conquered with any ease. In fact he was beginning to this little spot was his own. Although the blood on the maw and mane probably helped with the menacing look. But as he saw the great white lion lapping up the water so franticly he cocked his head a bit.
"A little thirst there, mate?"

Mokovu drank till suddenly he heard a voice speak to him. He looked up to see a male lion peering at him. He was brown, white, and with pink markings. His mouth was covered with blood and it seemed to splatter his pelt. He gave a quick nod before speaking "Indeed, it has been a while since I have seen any water. I'm Baridi Mokovu...call me Kovu" he said pleasantly tot he new lion. He did not want to make an enemy, not today, but even being friendly can still lead to a hostile response.
He cocked his head at the water before getting up and moving onto a nice spot of grass. He felt relaxed and fulfilled, like he could stay here for a while. He wondered how long this male had been here, how long he had been watching him.

Koto ran his tongue over his teeth, after a meal he was always a little more feisty than he should be.
"Does anyone else know that you're here, Kovu?" The beauty of being a rogue is that any territory you lay your head down at can be guarded and secured as your own, and this area was turning to be a nice place, especially since it was the cleanest water for miles and otherwise uninhabited.
He stood up on his wide branch and stretched, knocking off the last fat leg that he couldn't finish and the entire head of his zebra. The pelt of the zebra was fully intact save for the one leg he had tore off to save for later. Part of this was clumsiness, but he pulled off his gestures as if he were testing the stranger.
