Another night, another hunt. It had been a few days since she'd last seen Revez, and she thought it a shame she couldn't lure him into the Coven. He'd been such a pretty male, with a sharp, curious mind. But one couldn't always have what one wanted. There were a few things she wanted that she could never have. Came with being a ghost. But knowing her family would be safe, knowing she still had an important place in the Coven...that was enough for her. It was a thought that always made her smile.
As did a new scent. Mzuka's white ears pricked forward, and her white nose sniffed the air again before starting in the direction of the new scent...a LION'S scent. Maybe she'd found a snack or a new member to seduce in.

Baridi Makovu walked along the dirt path. His hot feet were cooling rapidly as the moon chased the sun out of the sky. The moon's light illuminated him like a firefly in the dark. There was no place to run, and no place to hide. Something about this night seemed different,a little more peculiar then any other. He took a quick glance around, he was in new land and he was unfamiliar wether he was close to a pride or not. It could be that he was nearing a border, he seemed to do that a lot. He was not afraid however in meeting anyone new on this dark night. He was rather good with meeting new people, of all types. He had this air of silent wisdom that seemed to demand respect from people. Rarely he got angry or fought, there were few reasons for him to do so.
He cleared his mind and pushed on, there was a nice spot ahead he could stop and get some water. It was a damp pool by some trees, it looked like it was left over from the rain. He slowed his walk to a stop and bent to lap. It was kinda muddied but he had not drank in a few days and his body felt refreshened with every lap. He felt immediately better after his long days and nights of traveling the lands.
He stopped lapping to adjust his posture, he laid down on the ground, not even phased by the cold winds the night was brining. His mane blew a bit and he felt relaxed, enough to just close his eyes.

It was on the edge of the jungle she found the source of the scent. Like her, he was pale, almost glowing in the dark like she herself did. She smiled widely, then let the smile soften into an expression of invitation, of friendliness. Her paws were quiet as she approached him, her voice just audible enough to hear what she was saying.
"What brings a pretty one like you here?" He was very pretty, and reminded her a little of a few other Coven members. "Did you smell the blood? Or are you simply a Daywalker seeking rest and refuge?"

Mokovu turned his head to voice of a young lioness. She was a white lion like him with red markings placed around her body. She spoke kind of with a mysterious tone, it made his curiosity peek. "A mixture of both I suppose, the blood is aluring but yet I could use a place to sleep" He said with a voice that was deep and icy but not harsh, more of an eerily welcoming. He must have wandered near a pride, for she seemed to be a member. Usually they were not this welcoming to strangers, especially adult males. It made him suspicious of her intentions. Even certain words she used seem unusual.

Mzuka giggled quietly and nodded. "Well...you won't find sleep here. You see, those here are creatures of the night. I am surprised you are not, with such a lovely coat." She sighed, shaking her head sadly. "Why are the pretty ones not related to me always of the Day? It's such a shame." A shame indeed. Though...she fully intended to try and bring him into the fold. Whether she succeeded or not was another story entirely.

Mokovu looked at her with curiosity, she spoke about her pride as though they had many different ways then other prides. He smiled at her words that spoke of admiring his pelt."Who is to say i sleep at night?" He said grinning at her as he played her game. He was quite aware this young female was trying to pull him in, she was quite the temptation. He wondered what her pride was like and if he could safely visit it and leave once again. He did not want to get sucked into a pride he could not leave unless he choose to stay.

Mzuka seemed to perk up at that. "Oh~? Are you a child of the Night, too, than? Find solace in the darkness and the moon, far from the cruel sun?" She sat, her tail coming to curl around her and rest on her red-toed paws.

Mokovu could not help but grina bit at the way she spoke. Her words were sly and had an edge to every letter. Something about her was very dark, almost like a cunning and manipulative type of dark."Where I was born the sun was gone for many days for long times. It was as though for many moons we sep and woke. I do however find warmth in the sun cause where I'm from the wind is harsh and bitter" He said as he followed her and sat down too. The air was cool here and so was the ground, it felt nice to Mokovu to be in a different environment. He looked back to the female with her white and red pelt, he wondered what her pride was like. However he was a bit hesitant to ask, unsure of what her answer would be.

Warmth in the sun. Ah...such a pity. But if the winds were harsh where he was from...perhaps it was a bit understandable. "A shame. It's very warm inside the jungle, whether it is day or night. And in the deepest parts, the sun cannot reach, not even a small beam of light." It had to be that way, for her and her kind to exist, to live. For the sun was their worst enemy. She saw the curiosity in his eyes...and felt a sort of pleasure at seeing it. A sort of pride, that she could entice such curiosity.
"You have something on your mind? Perhaps I can help."

Mokovu shifted his paws, not uncomfortably but more with unease. Something about her invited his body in but something in his mind was warning him. He could not tell wether he should trust brain or guts."Indeed I do..." He said as he walked close up to her closing the space between them. He got close enough that he could feel her breath on him. He looked her deep in the eyes and grinned."What pride is this you speak of? what do you believe in?" His eyes squinted questionably as he swept his tail across the earth. He did not dare move his gaze away from her. He felt there was something dark she was hiding, he could see it behind her eyes.

And now she could truly speak of things! Something lit up in Mzuka's eyes now, something dark and inviting...not quite sinister. "I speak of the Mwana-a'lela, the Coven. And it is blood we believe in. It's power over our lives, and the life it gives us..." She vaguely wondered how his would taste...perhaps she might find out before the night ended.

Mokovu looked at her as she spoke. A pride or Coven as she called it that believed in blood. He was interested but yet leery of the thought. He could sense something dark behind it all. "Hmm what rituals or traditions does your Coven have or believe in?" He asked while inside he almost regretted it. But he was a soul observer, he was watching her very spirit as they spoke and judging as he went. This would be a learning experience no matter what. His body sent a cold shiver down his spine the way she spoke and he felt red hot at the way she looked at him. They were deep red and seemed to look right into his deep blue eyes.

"We believe many things, and follow quite a few rituals." She didn't want to give TOO much away. "What part of life would you like to hear the rituals or traditions for? Birth? Death? There is something for every part of life among those in my pride." Even she, a hungry ghost, had to follow those traditions.

Makovu kept his mouth pursed shut a moment, musing thoughtfully at the female before him as he thought of his answer.
"Whichever I choose," He murmured. "I suppose you'll tell me what you please."

Mzuka couldn't help but laugh a bit. "Perhaps. Though only because we are...a secretive lot. We can't give too much away to those outside, now can we?" She purred a bit. "If you chose to become one of us, however...that would change." She wouldn't force, though. That would bring the Coven trouble, and she refused to bring trouble in.
