Deep in the forests of Lithiuana, the sound of howling stirs the silent nights. The two moons that hang heavy in the sky light the way for a pack of creatures known only for their sleath and prowess. Many have tried to hunt them, and have failed. Few have tried to understand them, and succeeded. The trees are their shadows, the earth their home. The night is a time of birth and rebirth, day a time of rest. These creatures are known only by the local tribes as Vakar d'al Luna; Those that run with the moon. We know them only as wolves.
There is a legend among the humans that speaks of two great spirits, two wolves. Munin, the black wolf of memory herds the moon every night, chasing it across the sky to light the darkness of night. But it is Loki, the white wolf of mourning, the spirit who herded the sun across the sky has gone missing, and without its shepherd, the sun will not rise and the world has been cast into darkness until the Sun Herder can be found and returned to his duty. It is now the soul duty of one pack to travel across the land to the tower of the Gods, a mountain that reaches into the heavens, in search of Loki so that the sun may rise again and the world can bathe in its warm and return once again to normal.
