Upon the entrance of the door hung a body in a crucified fashion, devoid of flesh to display the bloodied and beaten muscle tissue of the human anatomy. The eyes have been ripped out, its mouth gaped wide in what looked like eternal pain - the last pose that the creature had had before its death. Its silver hair remained but was stained with the blood, the strands at the tip soaked up and stuck to the tissue that had bled.

Blood had dried in a widespread from where the body hung and dripped down the staircase where several bodies belonging to the SDD lay or sat to waste. Their torn uniforms weren't as bad as their torn bodies. Some lacked arms or legs, while others lacked heads. One body was kneeling at one step with what could be seen as a crushed head. Bones covered the hole of its neck and shoulders while the eyes hung from optic cord of a mush brain which ominously flung side to side. The smell of a couple days' rot and decay was already filling the staircase.

In the Mayor's room were six sages in a repeating state of spells, their bodies protruding immense bursts of energy that shot into a burning sphere of fire that floated meters off the center of their circle. Visual silohouttes of demons could be seen in a moving in the fire, their growls and roars nothing but echoes.

Ian Tiff stood at the Mayor's usual spot (infront of the window where he could monitor Sanctum), and even though he lacked the all-seeing ability as the old and ages vampire he could see everything just as clearly. From powers to people in the distance. Being at the center of Sanctum he could feel many things in all directions.

The room alone was nothing but a wide circle. There was no furniture to Ian's surprise at first but he didn't need such luxuries and neither did the mages he had brought himself. As they had sat there for the last couple of days they worked without stop to open up a new hole to Hell. Of course it was small and only the weak ones will first pour out. But rather than spawn in the room where he was they would be teleported out into Sanctum.

He was the reason why Sanctum had been infested by demons, as a demonstration to how he and his family felt in the Northeast. How everyone felt! Frightened..helpless..shunned and ignored. Now that the SDD were out of the way the people would have to fend for themselves. The only true threat he knew of was Dark...Len - if the fool had thought of betraying him. Heyen and Nate were no real threat. That half-demon he met at the Weaponry seemed powerful but he wasn't worried. He could wipe out this city himself..but not yet.

The council of sages were now dead as well, their bodies laying dead against the wall with a splatter of blood. The Senior teachers of the University might prove a challenge but they weren't as powerful as others.

"Hehehehe! I can't wait.." Ian giggled.

"My my...." came a drowning velvet voice from the doorway; speaking up out of no where. "I would call it a mess...but it's such a beautiful massacre."

And to the hooded man, it was such a thing. The smell of blood was a constant mouth-watering tang in the air. The scent of decay a backdrop to the coppery smell filling his nose. Everyone was everywhere...scattered around bit by bloody bit. Someone had been enjoying their work very much. Especially the masterpiece hanging not far above his head. The once guardian of the city now reduced to a bloody near unrecognizable remnant of what it once was. A vampire hanging in a crucified fashion...how ironic.

Remaining where stood, the cloaked figure leaned against the door frame, waiting for the man named Ian to face him. The man that had every intention of reducing this city to ruin.

Ian's smile slowly fell into a frown, displeased by the sudden invasion of 'his' space. He had sensed the man a while back but he had no expected this demon to visit him so quickly and unnoticeably. But such were demons..

"I'm flattered," Ian finally spoke, turning to face the cloaked man before him with a dramatic flap of his trench coat and another bright smile. "But these people weren't as strong as they are mistaken to be. Spineless even; their corpses aren't even worth the decoration but hey..what can you do? Heheheh.."

"Now, what is it that I can do for you, My Good Man?" Ian asked, taking one glance at the growing portal at the center of the room. Judging from the man's power before him he couldn't have yet gotten out of this hole. He may not be able to sense every ounce but he knew the man had something special about him. So was he from the Northeast? When had he gotten through? And what is it that he's up to?

Idle curiosity plagued at Ian's mind but as he tilted his head to the side he continued to smile,a giggle or two escaping him. "Surely you didn't just come here to compliment.." He giggled, spreading his arms to gesture the room, "My glaamorous design~"

((O_o what's Jin and Toya doing here? xD))

Insanity was such a beautiful thing. Just seeing Ian the way he was made the mystery man want to chuckle. He refrained though to a smirk that couldn't be seen. Watching Ian now, the man could easily read the corrupted soul. He was curious, confused and displeased. The cloaked figure always did like pestering people.

"No, I did not come here to lay trivial compliments at your feet Ian,"
he said with a little more authority and seriousness in his face. "I came to see the progress for myself." And he gestured to the speck of a portal in the center of the room. It was far from being the sort of portal that was in the Northeast, but with some nurturing it had the potential to be greater.

"I also came for a little more of a personal agenda of mine,"
he said with a smirk in his silken voice. "I know you've met a certain teal haired half-breed...Ski...what do you think of her?"

It was time to spread that webs further.

(They just appeared. Secret bosses.)

"Oh?" Who was this man and how did he know about the portal that Ian was making? His brows knitted in heavy agititation for the lack of intel that he had, but they soon disappeared and he just smiled again. "As you know, "Friend"," He emphasized, "It's still small. I can barely managed to get anyone strong enough to survive the day. The demons inside are now fighting to free themselves but are only dying by other powers that lie in wait for there time to manifest. But it will take time."

These sages were Dark Wizards, their minds bended at Ian's will to devote themselves in greatening the portal even if it cost them ther lives. Though it can't be seen these robed figures had been crying blood by the time he had control over them. There body were most likely shriveling as they spent every ounce of Mana that they had.

"Ski?" Ian repeated. The name was familiar as was the description. But it took him a minute to fully remember. But he played a lie. "No, I have not met such a half-breed." He said and crossed his arms. "But...why don't you tell me about her? Why does this creature interest someone like you? I know your hiding your real power - I can see it dwelling inside but for whatever reason you choose to play in the shadows and poof about the place. I've sensed you here and there but you always disappear..are you scouting this Ski? Why are you hunting her down? Huh? Huh huh huh?"

He giggled and this time proceeded towards the demon before him. Up close Ian was an inch or two smaller so he did have to turn his head up only a little. "And why do you come to me?"

((haha nice))

The irritation and agitation was still written easily across Ian's face. The man hidden in the shadow of his hood smirk. Being kept out of the loop was bothering him and the lack of intell obviously.

"Yes...I can see that with just a glance," the cloaked figure stated. Observing the Dark Wizards as they put their life and magic on the line to further make the portal grow. Wasting away as they did so at the whim of their commander.

Perhaps if he found it in his dark heart to assist Ian...he would. But that was for later matters.

As Ian stated that he knew no girl by the name of Ski, a hidden eye brow rose. He was lieing, he was lieing well, but he had sensed Ski's power and Ian's at the weaponry, coiling in the air as it gradually dissipated. It was that fact that he knew the corrupted soul was false. However, the cloaked man went on as if he had no idea of the lie.

"Ski in fact," he said in a dark silken voice of amusement. "Is hunting me...has been since she has known the details of her birth. You could say I wronged her...her mother...her village," he said with amusement. "She wishes to take revenge for everything I have done to her through her half-breed life. What she doesn't know is that I had done all I had to make her stronger and make her into the powerful creature she is...and she is powerful Ian do not underestimate her."

As Ian advanced the clocked man did nothing, except keep speaking. "As for why I have come to you...it's a simple but critical matter. You are fighting her in the tournament...I want you to give her hell. She has grown docile as of late, her faith in humanity, her starvation for kindness and love compelling her to trust others," he droned, leaning slightly forward so he was staring right down at the smaller man. "I want you to twist her, twist her compassion for others so she won't be fighting for the city...she's our trump card after all."

He mocks me? Ian questioned, for the time being looking into the glowing hues that he could only recognize as eyes within the darkness of his visitor. But they said nothing to him. Without notice of a nose, or even lips and brows he couldn't read this man. This thing of a man...

He said that he was being hunted. And if he wasn't mistaken this..thing was this "Ski's" father. Daugther father feud..how disgusting. These demons..every single one of them. Whatever this demon was planning he must have some motives behind what he was doing. Surely this "Ski" wasn't the only thing. What was this foul abomination planning?

As he stood before his visitor he tried to peek underneath the man's headwear. No luck was found. But he felt the disturbing atmosphere in just being so close. But Ian grinned, and giggled beneath his breath. Was this man 'thing' using him? What right did he have to try to manipulate him? I!...am insulted.

"I care not for whatever family matters you may have with your daughter, Demon. It was your kind.." He frowned, then tip toed to near the man's hidden face with his one and grinned again, "that TOOK my family away..Ihavenoneedforyou~" With that said he dropped his heels and with that movement became just about untouchable, leaving several after images of himself as he strafed and swayed side to side while he walked towards the window once more. Once again he was frowning.

"If you wish to corrupt your daughter then do so yourself. I'm not your puppet, nor am I your friend." Not that they ever said that they were. "...And it doesn't matter. Ski will meet her end along with you and Sanctum. So your motives are trivial, and needless to say pointless.'

Well the boy certainly has some spunk to him and a good head on his shoulder. The clocked figure wasn't surprised that he connected the dots; yes Ski was his daughter, and his most praised weapon. Course, Ian also had a disrespectful and high and mighty persona. They were the ones that killed his family yes, but they were also were the ones that gave him a power that others could not comprehend.

He had nerve to decline a simple request. Ski would be less likely to do as he said because of what he had done to shape her. He needed an outside source...and Ian was the one to do it. Too bad he wasn't cooperating.

With Ian back at his place in front of the window, the figure frown from beneath his hood. Clawed hands with skin of pale gray with a tinge of purple lifted to dig into the ebony cloth. Removing the hood to reveal a blond hair, a pair of curling ram horns and one eyes covered by a cloth. Soon following was the rest of the clock. Revealing the skinny figure and darkly draped body of the demon hidden beneath its shadows. A pair of tattered bat like ans spiked wings coming forth from the demon's back.

"Ian...really now, is it very wise to talk back to the Lord of Nightmares. Threatening me with my death isn't wise when I am of the few that are giving you your orders. And here I was hoping to help with your portal troubles in exchange for a small fun request."

He could hear the movement of his visitor's robe and the sound of his muscle movements. Oddly enough removing some of his cloak caused a frightening sensation to crawl through Ian's body.

"Lord of Nightmares?" He smiled, "Hahahah!!" With a fluid and smooth motion of a turn he demonstrated that he was still maintaining a high speed movement. "And you are giving me orders? Hmhmhm! No. You demons gave me a power, but you do not control me." He stated, eyeing at what could be a potential opponent.

He would never have figured such a starving looking creature but even with such a physique he would know not to underestimate its power.

"You demons..all the same. You feel so superior that you think that it entitltes you to rule others and believe that they will follow. You are no different than humans..but your mind is spoiled.." He extended a hand, bits of dark matter spawning in length as if ready to form something. "I willed myself to you demons, yes, but I will not kneel, bow or follow at your behests. If you want to meet an early fate then come. I welcome your attack."

Being laughed at did not get a positive reaction out of the strange breed of demon. But the beast of a man before him, was rather appealing against the demon's judgment. Going on about his power that was given to him but he wasn't not going to bow or kneel...follow the ones that killed his family. And had the gull and bravery to talk back to one that gave him that power.

And to go as far as describe his character, which wasn't wrong but he wasn't all right either. Which only let the Lord of Nightmares as was his title along with General to laugh.

"Ahahahaha..." came his dark silken laughter that held a hint of a growl as well; ivory fangs revealed as his golden head laid back. "Well don't you have spirit. Though I've slaughtered villages for far less...I like you. Chaos is your intent and to leave nothing behind all for revenge...actions after my own heart."

Removing himself from the wall, the demon stepped closer; though it appeared he was more like flowing over the ground. He came to a stop two feet from the crazy corrupted soul.

"Attacking you and getting into a pointless confrontation would do neither of us any good. Because I like your spunk, I'll help you,"
with that, the demon lifted a hand ebony shadows twirled around the limb, once twice the size of his hand, he threw it into the portal.

The reaction nearly instantaneous. The portal double and the strength as well increasing to twice it's power pier. However, there was something else that couldn't be seen as well.

"You should have any trouble with those hidden powers killing off those that come through any more,"
with that, the horned demon grinned mischievously. "When you meet Ski again in the tournament, all I ask is you don't kill her. If she becomes our enemy...you can kill her later."

Chaos. Oh, how beautiful a word that was but he wanted maybe something more. Something like..genocide. To take away the lives of not only Sanctum but of everything else. Sanctum was only the first step for they were the ones that wronged them. Then the demons...they had wronged him, too. Humans and demons and every living creature. They all will die.

As the "Lord of Nightmare", seeing as how this demon referred to himself as approached him Ian's eyes doubled in size, the thrill that was wafting in their atmosphere pleading for some retaliation. His mind and body was afraid but he was not. He was excited!

The accumulation of dark matter that he had been gathering materialzed a katana. A simple design of a blade and with only a black hilt and scabbard. He didn't need anything fancy. With his power alone it would never break.

He didn't attack but he did hold the tip of the katana centimeters away from the demon's chin, but the fouled creature had stopped. It obviously didn't fear the threat of steel against him. Rather it offered its assistance.

Ian's eyes followed the demon's power to the portal and even as he didn't ask for the help the instant dilation of the portal excited him. The sages themselves were startled and quickened their chant, their faces growing old and gray as their mana was leaving them frail.

"Hahahah!! WOW! You truly are something! DIdyouseethat! Didyoudidyoudidyou! Heheehhe!!" Ian giggled, doubling away from the demon as he threw his head back to laugh at the ceiling, the scabbard of his weapon against his forehead as he continued to laugh. Whatever this demon "Lord of Nightmares" was he had easily expanded the portal which took these pitiful mages so long to do.

"Hehehehahaha!!" It was great. Simply fascinating and exciting. Containing his laughter was impossible and he was stumbling backwards and sideways around the room as he tried to sober his excitement. He heard the man speaking in parts but understood the meaning.

"Very well!" He cried out, standing into a complete halt. But with every second that passed he was giggling, his shoulders jumping with his childish behavior. "Just this once..you have a deal!" He cried out, randomly lunging his katana towards the demon as if to pierce its chest. Dodge or not Ian didn't care.

Having a blade so close to his face, inches from piercing flesh was nothing to the demon Lord. He just stood there with a wide grin on his face. Saying not a word as Ian's psychotic excitement at the portal becoming larger and more powerful. Decreasing the time of its full potential considerable. The Nightmare Demon remained standing there as Ian continued to cackle and laugh.

The only real movement the demon expressed was the widening manic grin as Ian took up his offer. He loved it when he won.

"Glad to hear that Ian...I know you'll enjoy it,"
he droned in his own velvet manic way.

As for the lunging katana, the demon didn't move from his spot. As the sword came closer and close he didn't move, rather watched the sparkling blade come closer. When the tip was just about to meet his bare chest, a shadow hole formed and twirled like passive fire there. The blade entering and exciting his body as if nothing was there but a black hole.

"Right through the heart Ian...how brutal you are, I like it."

He watched as his weapon plunged straight through the demon, meeting the jaws of shadow and flames before being spat out through the back. "Neat trick," Ian said with a curious tilt of his head before taking up a full stand.

Taking in the compliment Ian turned around and looked out the window. The snow continued to fall but the sky was growing darker as the day passed by. This would only alarm others he was sure.

"You demons are crafty..heheh. First you demand my body and soul for power, then you wish for Dark's death...and now you want me to twist the mind of your one and only daughter." He turned, facing the man with nothing but a frown. He sobered, taking in the facade of a calm demenor, his voice no longer chipper but quiet and stern. "..I will do what you ask of me this once..but my main concern is Sanctum's fall. Do try not to get in my way - I will no longer be taking in any favors..." He smiled happily, "Understood, Oh, Lord of Nightmares?" He mocked and turned away again, relinquishing his smile for another frown.

Sanctum will pay for what they have done. To me, my family...then come the demons...then come everyone else. Everyone, and everything will pay...there will be no redemption unless all life is extermiated. He smiled and clasped both of his hands behind his back. Everyone..even the ones who granted me this power..

"Isn't it," he stated evenly with a mild smirk on his lips as Ian withdrew his weapon from the demon's chest. The grayish-purple tinged skin of his toned chest swirling back together and showing no damage of the sword ever being there, or the shadows.

Remaining where he was, the demon let Ian continue on his way of staring out the window of the darkening day. Listening to what the corrupted human had to say and his opinion.

"So this will be the one and only chance to twist her..." he thought to himself as Ian wouldn't try again should he fail. And if they failed, Sanctum could have another savior that dwelt within the shadows.

"Oh you've made yourself very clear Ian..."
he spoke up as of confirmation of their one time deal. The demon pulling a force smirk at the obvious mocking of his title. "Favors after all are called such, because they can only be cashed in once, like every good investment."

As the reason that he was there was done with, the demon had no other reason to remain in the building that had the remains of the mayor and his bodyguards hanging about. Ian as irritating and intruding as the human was, he was obviously had no further interest in the demon lord being there.

"Since business is finished, I'll take my leave. Perhaps at the end of this we'll be seeing each other again Ian."

With that, around the demon lord, the swirling shadows of darkness formed a oval cocoon around the conjurer. Swirling about his tall, lanky yet tone framed till nothing could be see. Dissolving back into the ground from which it came, what was revealed was nothing but empty space in which a demon general had stood.

He waited for the demon to leave. As honorable it's presence might be (or frightening) to other demons it was more of a nuisance to himself..and his cause.

He turned to observe the work of the demon's power. The portal itself had expanded a great deal and he could no longer hear the demon's roar behind it. They had either fled back to Hell for their safety or have been wiped out by incoming forces. There was no power but it was only the calm before the storm. In a couple of hours he was sure that other demons would show themselves when the time was right. They were waiting...he knew that.

"...Foul demon." Ian muttered with an increasing grin. "What are you mages waiting for?! I want you to unleash every ounce of your power to rip this world and even greater hole. I want every citizen in this city to feel the vengeance that will fall on them! I WANT THEM TO FEEL THE FEAR OF WHAT NORTHEAST HAD FELT BEFORE WE WERE SLAUGHTERED!!"

At his command the maged quickened their chant in an alarming rate. One had finally reached his limit. The color of his face turned to bone as the skin decayed instantly, its eyed turning hollow before bone and skin was brushed away with the wind to leave nothing but its robes. Unable to control their wills the other four mages continued their chant.

"..Hmhm..Just a little longer. Then..you all will die. Heheheheh...HAHAHAHAH!!"
