Oracle fiddled with the ends of her hair, she had been putting little braids into her long pale hair, she sat outside the end of the wood of East Ikebokuro, she was finally old enough that her parents had finally stopped fussing so much over her and let her wander about by herself a bit. She was an introvert, quiet and kept to herself, quite a bit unlike her two sisters. Her amber eyes looked out at the big city that rose up around her. She pushed herself to her feet and started to wander into the streets, being careful to stay out of the sight of the humans. The purple collar still clung around her neck and it was starting to get a little snug for her liking, she knew what would come soon, but she was avoiding it as long as she could. SHe pulled her jacket tighter around her and rubbed her hands together to bring warmth into her chilled fingers. A smile spread over her face at the sights around it. It was all new to her, wonderful and new, she could feel the prickling in his forehead again, something was going to happen. nothing bad though, something exciting. her heart fluttered with excitement, hoping the feeling she had was right.
Jin stretched from under her tree that she had taken to visiting in a park, it wasn't too far from the Ruin cause her fathers would freak if they knew how far she was goin gin the first place. she had on her Dino dress today cause she had been wearing her bunny one so much that it was dirty and so Ji had made her leave it home to clean. She looked around with a yawn as she wondered if she could find someone to play with. Michi had....dissappeared. She didn't know where her once friend had gone off to but she missed her. She would make new friends though and maybe find a new girl she could spend time with, her brothers go so boring after a while and almost all of them had boyfriends now and she didn't want to be around all that. She stood and shook the grass from her tail and brushed it off her butt before walking out towards the tree line to find something to eat, she didn't like to risk going near the humans to steal food.
Fiddling again Oracle started to feel she had gone too far adn turned back, but as she reach the sight of the trees again she noticed another cat, one around her age by the looks of it. She creapt up quietly and stood a short distance away and watch from behind a bush, her amber eyes wide with interest and wonder, the dress the girl was wearing was quite peculiar, she'd never seen anything like it, but she liked it a lot and a prickling of thought in her mind wondered if she could ask her father to help her find a dress similar to it with the hood and a cute little skirt. Nipping at her lip she built up some courage and snuck over as silent as was possible and when she was just a few short feet away spoke up even though her voice was very soft and gentle. "H-hello..." she said, barely about a whisper, but that's the way she had always been, having taken very much after he father in being subtle.
Jin was sniffing at the air for food that she could hunt when her nose caught the smell of another cat. She looked about and then saw the girl infront of her. She was shy looking but pretty. She smiled brightly and purred."Oh hello back! Are you lost?" she asked as she held the tail of her dress and smiled at her. "My name is JinAi but you can call me Jin if you like." she said with a smile.
That smile was infectious and Oracle could feel herself grinning back and shook her head. "No, I'm not lost, I live here." she said quietly and plucked at her braids that her mother had taught her how to do, she was getting better at them. "My...my name is Oracle...hi Jin." she said testing the name. It rolled off her tongue quiet easily, and she was surprising herself with how well she was talking with this stranger in even the camp she often had trouble talking to others there besides her family, the closest person she had was her parents and her adopted brother Jiji who was now constantly busy with his girlfriend, but he did try to pput aside time for her as well. Now that she could see Jin fully she realized even more how pretty she was, making her wonder if how she looked, bundled up in her fluffy little black jacket and her little skirt poking out and the long black leggings and shin high warm boots. She was slightly jealous of Jin actually.
Jin smiled warmly at her and hugged her. She was a bit touchy feely but she didn't hold the hug too long so she didn't scare the shy girl. "Its nice to meet you Oracle. What are you doing out and about here if your not lost? Are you hungry too? I was going to get some food." she said with a smile looking at the trees. "Want to come with?" she asked as she held a hand out to her so they could go together. "I like your coat. I have so much fluff that i don't need one though. and my Dino dress is so warm that it helps too when it gets windy." she said with a smile, wiggling her fluffy tail with a giggle.
Oracle tensed for a moment as she was hugged, she wasn't used to contact with others that weren't family and even though she wasn't a very touchy cat. "N-nice to meet you too...I was looking around. I've never really been out of the wood before and I wanted to see what the city looked like. My big brother has told me about it, but I had to see it for myself." she said as her voice grew a little in strength. Not that she though about it, she was a little hungry, she hadn't eat much for breakfast. "Sure...I'll come." she said looking at Jin's hand and finally reached out and took her hand. It was a strange feeling, but it was a good one, it felt right. Oracle blushed deeping at eh compliment, but then looked behind her at the little nub she had for a tail, just like her mother...she was envious of Jin and her beautiful tail where she had none at all. "Thanks, I really like your dress, it's really pretty." she said. "I wish I had a tail, all I got is a nub like my Momma. My sister Aliel has a tail and my brother Jiji but me and Faye only got nubs."
Jin smiled at the shyness that she saw from the hug. "I'm sorry i just wanted to hug you. You haven't been out here much either? My parents dont let me out alot either. Let go hunting together!" she said taking her hand and smiling as she walked with her intot he trees. "Oh but your tail is cute and nubby! Its still cute in its own way. Mine is just fluffier but if your legs get cold i'll keep you warm with it!" she said wigging her tail against Oracles leg. "I have lots of brothers...too many i think but its ok i lvoe them still." she said with a large smile.
Oracle shook her head. "It's okay, I'm just not really used to hugs." she said and sucked on her lip and shook her head again at the question. "Nope, I've only just begun to explore the edge of the wood myself. My sisters have done a lot more than me, but I kinda preferred to just stay in the camp where I felt safe, but I finally got bored with everything there." she sighed. The idea of hunting mad eher a little nervous, she'd never hunted before, nor had her parents taught her anything of it. She knew they hunted and her brother hunted as well as everyone else, but she hadn't felt that she'd even be good at it, she was scared of most bugs and she hated getting dirty. Blushing again though at yet another compliment, she wasn't quite sure what to do or how to react. "I like how fluffy yours is, Jiji has a fluffy tail tail too, it's really pretty." she sighed at the thought of his velvety soft, dark fur. When Jin tickled her legs with her tail Oracle giggled and shuffled her legs, the soft fur against her legs even though the legging felt funny and tickled her. "So you have a big family? Don't you have any sisters too? I love my sisters and my brother too, but I alwasy feel like I'm different from them." she said looking away, she always felt different, like she didn't fit in for some reason. And her parents even treated her a little differently, but she had always just been different in many of her ways from the beginning.
Jin smiled at her and nodded. "I see. Its ok. Just know that i hug alot so i'm sorry in advance if i hug you again." she said with a smile as she stopped at a fallen tree. "Well i'm sure you got bored of everything really fast i know i did. I was so tired of my home too. Its so boring there when i have seen it all and i have nothing else to do." She smiled as she sniffed around the tree. "You want a mouse? I can catch you one since your too pretty to have you get dirty." She said as she bent over and wiggled her tail while looking for a mouse. "I love my brothers and i have one other sister. I think theres like 8 brothers in my family...no i think its more then that. i think theres 12 or 13 of us total. I cant remember cause i never get to see half of them anymore." she said as she peeked over her shoulder at Oracle. "you don't look different so i wont treat you different ok. Your just my new friend Oracle right?" she asked with a smile.
"No, it's okay...I don't mind." she said, having liked the contact a good bit. Looking over the tree as well she was curious, it was so large and it made her feel so small, smaller than usual. "Well there's plenty to do around the camp and there's always lots of other around to do something with, esoecially uncle Youko, when he's not sleeping or hiding he's fun to play with. Sometimes he gives me these weird lesson he says help me gain control of myself." she wrinlked her nose. She still didn't understand the sessions in full that were helping her gain control of the foresight she had, allowing her to live more normally than she would have had he not been helping her to balance the energies inside of her. "Um...o-okay..." she blushed worse than ever this time, the compliments just kept coming and she was becoming more and more unsure of what to do with herself or how to give something of the like back. "That's a really big family!" she said in shock, her mouth agape at the idea of such a large family, it made hers seem miniscule. "Okay, and you're my new friend Jin!" she piped up, her voice reaching the loudest it had ever been which still wasn't all that loud at all. Though they had just met, Oracle new she had found a very special friend, her feeling earlier had been all too correct.
Jin smiled at her and purred as she nodded. "Oh good cause i don't want to upset you any with my hugs." she said as she climbed into a hole to poke about. "I don't know my mama i just know my daddies." she said as she wiggled in deeper. She sniffed around and then pulled out of the hole and snorted some dirt off her nose. She smiled at her and nodded. "Yes big family and i don't get to spend as much time with any of them as i want. I feel kinda lonly alot of the time cause they are with everyone else so much. So i just left today and this is the furthest ive been away." she said with a smile as she leaped ontot he top of the tree and kept searching. "This is much harder out here. I've only hunted a little around my home and its easier cause i can tell the smells better." she said with a smirk at Oracle. "Oh yay! Friends always!" she said with a smile as she saw how excited Oracle was getting.
Oracle watched and even poked her head into the hole in the tree and watched, she'd never really climbed into any hollows, besides the ones that were her home and the few that she was allowed to go into around the camp. It could be dangerous to just go into a strange hollow as you never knew what or who could be living in there. She didn't like the idea of taking chances. "Be careful..." she whispered. Daddies? As in more than one, now that didn't make a lot of sense to her. "You have two daddies? I got a momma and a daddy...they raised Jiji...but they aren't his real parents, I don't know know who are though." she said wondering a bit to herself, it was plain to see that Jiji wasn't related to any of them, but now that she thought about it, she really did wonder who his parents were and settled on asking him the next time she got to spend time with her big brother. "I know what you mean. I don't get to see Jiji a lot anymore since he got a girlfriend. She's supposed to be really nice though, and she makes him happy, so I'm happy for him, but I miss spending lots of time with him when he wasn't training." she sighed and crossed her arms and leaned against the tree. When Jin jumped up on top of the trunk Oracle scrambled and lifted herself up to stand on it as well and looked around, not quite sure what she was looking for though. "It's not too bad around here. What's it like where you live? The city is so much different than it is here in East." she said and istantly grinning brightly at Jin, "Yes, always!" she said leapt forward and hugged Jin, something she hadn't really fully thought out, but it had seemed right. She quickly pulled back though, still smiling, but blushing as well. it felt good to have a real friend, there weren't any others in east around her age so it was quite hard sometimes to find someone to play with.
