The sengoku jidai, or warring states era, was distroying the fuedal nation of what is now called Japan. The shogunate were discovering that with their refined swordsmanship and power supporting the emperor would now let them overthrow the source of power they used to work for. Daimyo, or local lords were rising to fill the gaps in power and were now battleing for control over lands.
Villages were being burned and pillaged to show a lords power of a certain territory. Oni, or demons, were also rising up now that the forces that used to hold them back were now fighting eachother. Inevitably the contact between humans and demons streangthened and more hanyoukai, or half demons, were being born. Some went to join their lords, others joined the patriots to fight those who wished to demolish the power of the emperor.
The lords, villagers, demons, and half demons were now entertwined in a fight that would change the course of Japanese history. The side they chose, if any, would alter their destiny and their descendent's destiny. Even one fighter could tip the scale and decide which side would win the battle. which side are you on?
