The elegent lion moved quickly through the pride's lands. She was moving towards the temple. The night sky was full of stars tonight and she was fairly confident that she would be able to find him sitting there. The male she had never forgot, she had met him but once when she was just a cub but that meeting regardless of how breif had stuck in her mind... even if the male had been curt. The air was cold, but the moon was bright.
Huwayda moved towards the rises up behind the temple, she knew he would be here on a night like this, she had said this was where he liked to star gaze, he was an astronomer. She slinked through the shadows looking for the large white body. She hoped she would not startle him, she was just very hopeful that he would actually be there.

She would no be disappointed. Sa'a'hayet spent most of his nights out there, after all. Pure white fur practically glowed in the moon-light where he sat, staring up into the night sky, eyes roaming over the stars, studying and memorizing the lay out of the night sky so that he could map it out when the night had passed. He was not used to being interrupted in his gazing. He rarely met with anyone coming out this far so late at night.
So it was a confused and slightly annoyed frown that he lowered his head from the stars, ears twitching at the sound of sand and stone beneath another's paws, coming closer to his location. He barely surpressed a growl, letting out a sigh instead as his eyes roamed over the area, taking sight of the young female coming his way. " What business do you have wandering about so late at night, young lady? " He asked bluntly when she came close enough, his tone showing his annoyance.

The lioness put her ears back unhappy by the greating she recieved, it was no doubt the lion she had been hoping to find, the male she had met when she was jsut a cub. The white male she was happy to see him, but he seemed less than pleasd to see her. She frowned she was unsure of what to say or do now, perhaps he was not as she remembered... he hadn't seen her in ages, perhaps it was her worst fear come true, he had forgotten him.
"Hello" she whispered gently "I am sorry to desturb your work, but I didn't know where else to find you." she hoped her little appology would help highten his mood. Perhaps once he had heard her voice he woud remember it all.

" Find me? " He questioned, his frown deepening as he studied the girl more closely. He didn't recall meeting a female, or, anyone for that matter, that would feel the need to seek him out for anything. He was not a particularly social creature, and those that did end up speaking with him did not end up seeing him as a friend.
Still, she was going to the trouble of coming so far out to speak to him. His values demanded a certain level of manners. Shifting up, he moved to easily jump down from the rocky rise to be on more level ground with her. " Forgive me. I am unused to being interrupted during my work. What might you need from me, young lady? "

Hwa calmed down a little, she realized now that she just needed to give the male time to adjust to company. "You told me once that I would be able to find you here. We spoke once, just once, when I was even yunger." She felt her ears perk back up, she was happy that she had found him, she was hoping that he would warm up to her company soon, how else would she be able to explain to him how she felt. She wasn't even sure how to explain the feels that she had for him, he would probably think she was insane.
"I have thought about you since the day we met, you spoke to me about your manners. I waited to come to you till I was an adult." she cocked her head to the side, she had relaxed her position quite a bit and was now sitting lightly.

A soft sigh passed his lips as she spoke, cocking a brow up at one point. He remembered her.. She was but a young cub when they had last met. Yet she remember him all this time, and even came to find him now that she reached adulthood? The only thing he could think in response to this was... Why? Why in the world would she keep someone like him in her mind? Someone who really did nothing but scold her...
He frowned slowly as he watched the younger female a long moment before looking away to the distant sands. " Huwayda... Wasn't it..? I see you at least took my lesson to heart... You're manners are very much improved. " He murmured out, looking back to her. " So..? Why have you come to seek me out now that you've grown, young lady? What is it you are wanting from me...? If you goal is to become a scribe, I'm sorry to inform you that I do not take students... "

Huwaya loved hearing his voice. Her head waas practically humming with joy, she wasn't sure how she had managed to stay away for so long. She listened to him talking smiling him the whole time even when he made comments about her manners. She had mentally prepared for this time for so long, she had hoped it would go smoothly and so far it hadn't been going poorly.
"No I did not seek you out for to learn about being a scribe, I am infact going on to be a nanny, am a nanny I should say I am an adult now." she giggled softly. She had only recently reached her full maturity, the concept of being on her own was so strange. She wasn't sure how to tell Sa'a he real intentions, why she had never forgotten him, why she was seeking him out in the middle of the night. She twirled her toes in the dirt, "I well I wanted to see you again." she said simply, knowing it wasn't enough of an answer but it was all she could muster up at the time.

He gave another sigh before he could even think to stop it, peering at her for a long moment before he finally turned away from her, moving to climb back up to the ledge he had been gazing from. He stopped after a moment, when she did not immediately follow, glancing back to her. " Come... You may watch the stars with me tonight.. "
He was hesitant to allow this. It could distract from his work... However, from all she said, it seemed the only reason she had come out here at all was to speak with him and spend time with him. She was not unbearable in her manners and actions... He could tolerate this for the night, even if he did not understand the reasoning behind it in the least. He continued up the rocky ride to take up his earlier position, settling himself down on his stomach on the ledge. There was just enough room for her to settle beside him though she'd have to press into his side to ensure she would not topple off.
The thought made him a bit uncomfortable, but he couldn't let the young girl sit in the cold with no means of warmth against the chilly night air. No, he had to offer at least this much comfort for her.

Huwayda didn't need to be told twice, she got up to her feet quickly and followed silently behind the white lion. She was barely able to contain her excitement, but she did the best she could, Sa'a probably wouldn't have liked her acting like a bubbling child. Once he laid down she looked around for a second, wonder if he intended her to lay beside him. After becoming sure that she couldn't possibly lay anywhere else she moved to lie beside him, a large smile on her face, she felt so lucky at the moment. Her plan couldn't have gone better, she loved being this close to the male.
"Thank you" she responded quielty as she turned her head up towards the stars. She decided then that she wouldn't say anything else to the male tonight, she didn't want to distract him from his work, she just wanted to be close to him, she couldn't ask for anything more then this.

He glanced down to the female against his side briefly when she spoke, offering no reply as he silently studied her face, turned up toward the stars a long moment before he lifted his head again as well. Sadly, the stars offered no answers to the multitude of questions slowly building in his head, all triggered by this one girl. Worse yet was the feeling that came with having her pressed to his side... He felt... content. He could hardly remember the last time feeling like this. Not since his sister and mother....
Stubbornly, he was quick to suppress both the feeling and the thoughts, his focus drawn to the stars above him as he mentally mapped their formations for the night. It wouldn't do to let himself be distracted from anything during his nightly work... He was both surprised and pleased when she spoke no further, letting him work in peace.
