The news made Branwen shiver with excitement. Lavanya, a mother! And just after Ali and Del had foals of their own. The mare had so many new cousins she didn't know what to do with herself. But these little ones were special because Lavanya always had a special place in Branwen's heart. She was the one who had helped Branwen through difficult times and had introduced her to her mate. So, naturally, she was overjoyed to hear of these new babies and rushed home to greet them.
And now, all she had to do was find the little one. Or anyone from her family, in fact. She hadn't been home in a while, so she wasn't sure where home was exactly. She was close, that's for sure, but this obviously wasn't the spot because not a single member of her family was in sight. If she hadn't spent the entire day flying to get there she would have flown overhead in an attempt to spot someone she recognized, but as things stood, she was tied to the ground for the time being. She could only hope to run into someone soon.

Finally she was able to sneak away. Having eyes on her all the time was quite annoying. She couldn't go off and explore, play and well explore. There were so many new things to discover. The little filly was quite the adventurer, and wanted to know all the little secrets of the land in which they lived on. Her ears flicked towards the sounds of the birds above her. Tilting her head up towards them her big smile grew as she watched them her tail flicking behind her. "Hello!" She shouted her greeting up to them.
At the sound of her loud voice, the few birds above her took off flying away. She watched them fly until she couldn't see them anymore. Flight, she wondered how it would feel to fly. Mama had wings but she did not. With a small pout she shook her head and continued to venture further into the woods, unknowing what would come of this little adventure she set herself on. It wasn't before long that the little filly had stumbled upon Branwen.
She was pretty, and she had wings like mama. Excitedly she made her way over to the stranger. "Hello Lady!" She greeted. Someone new, maybe a friend, she liked making friends, even if they were adults. With her excitement came a lot of questions and statements flying out of the little filly's mouth. "I like you wings. Do you like flying? What's it like? Do you like flying better the walking? Can you talk to birds? You're tail and horns are cool. Do you like fighting? How'd you get those scars?" she paused to take a breath. With her pause her eyes continued to scan over the mares body. Her legs were similarly marked like hers dark and sparkly. Her eyes drifted down to her legs her mind trying to put two and two together. Finally she asked one more question. "Are you family?"
With all her excitement the little filly had forgotten to introduce herself to this stranger, but that was not on her mind, all she wanted was answers to her many questions she posed for the mare.

Branwen hadn't even noticed the little filly until she was right up on her. And though she had never seen her before, or the stallion that had sired Lavanya's children, she recognized the starry pattern on Lilith's legs instantly. The ever increasing level of excitement was becoming more and more difficult to contain, even as she was bombarded with a rather overwhelming amount of questions that her young cousin was certainly going to have to ask again at a much slower pace. Branwen couldn't help but chuckle at the amount of energy the filly had. She was a bit like herself at that age, though a bit more extreme.
Finally, the wave of questions receded and Branwen could make an attempt at answering some of them. Or so she thought. Just as she was about to speak one last question had to be asked and it was one she would gladly answer, "I'm not positive, but I'm betting I am family. Would you mama happen to be Lavanya?"
And now that she thought about it, where was Lavanya? It wasn't like her to leave a foal unattended. Maybe this little one had done the very same thing she had done as a foal and run off to to play without any adults, and in Branwen's case violent sisters, around to interrupt. She couldn't help but chuckle again at how much reminiscing her new cousin was making her do. It made her happy to be home and excited to see the rest of her family again after being away for so long.

The smile across the filly's face seemed to widen. "You know mama! We are family!" the little filly seemed to become a bit more excited now. "I'm Lilith," She shouted up at the mare giving her name. There was a pause as she circled around the mare, smile still on her face. She still wanted her questions from before answered so she waited 'patiently' for their answers.
But even before the mare could speak again the filly seemed to spout even more questions to answer. "Where'd you come from? How do you know mama? Does mama know your back? Did you meet my papa? Mama doesn't say much about him, maybe Lilith doesn't have a papa." her face seemed to drop a bit at that thought but it didn't stay down for long. Still bounding around the mare she asked one more question. "Will you come play with me? I want to go on an adventure!"

Watching Lilith run around her in a flurry, her own smile growing as her suspicion about their relationship was confirmed. Though she didn't show it in as an enthusiastic way, Branwen was just as excited to meet the filly. There was nothing she loved more than her family and a new member was reason to celebrate.
"Oh my goodness!" Branwen laughed heartily, unable to keep up with her little cousin any more, "Well, my name's Branwen and I would love to play with you and answer all of your questions. But you're going to have slow down just a bit. I can hardly keep up with you!" She grinned widely and even stuck her tongue out a bit. It was obvious that not only were they going to get along wonderfully, but the two of them were going to have loads of fun too.

After a bit of still 'prancing' around the mare, Lilith seemed to calm down a bit. Now she stood in front of Branwen. "Do you know any fun places to go explore?" The filly questioned, obviously forgetting about the previous questions she had asked the mare. "Like places with ghost stories and such?" It really didn't matter to her where they went as long as it was an adventure.

Branwen chuckled as Lilith forgot about all the questions she had asked before. How exactly she was going to keep up with the filly, Branwen wasn't exactly sure, but hopefully playing games with her would help that somehow. And she knew a few good games to play, "Ghost stories huh?" Bringing her tail around to tap her chin, Branwen stared at the sky thoughtfully, "Well, the woods are known to get pretty creepy. I bet we could find a ghost or something like that in there."
Grinning deviously, she gave her little cousin a gentle tap with a wing and started to do a bit of her own prancing. She was beginning to feel like a foal again and it was exhilarating.

"Have you met a ghost before?" The filly questioned, starting a whole new line of questions. "Where is this place? Do we have to wait till dark? or do ghosts also come out during the day?" There was a pause before the filly shouted "Lets go!" Lilith didn't seem to care if her questions where answered or not, she'd likely find the answers to them later on in their explorations.

"I don't really know when the ghosts come out..." She stared absently into the distance as she thought about it, "But I bet if we wait long enough we'll see one eventually." Grinning yet again, Branwen did a quick little circle around Lilith then trotted towards the woods, motioning for the filly to follow with her tail.
"Come on~" She wondered if they really would see a ghost. The part about the woods being creepy was true, and she had heard tales of ghostly encounters but she'd never actually seen one before. Would Lilith be upset if they didn't see a ghost? Maybe she'd have to pretend to be one just for her cousin's sake.

Grinning from ear to ear the filly followed her cousin. "If we wait too long mama might get worried," Lilith murmured softly her voice dropped a bit, but didn't stay there long. "But! Lets go quickly so we can see one~!" Her long tail gave a small flick behind her as she caught up to her cousin.

Branwen understood Lilith's concern about her mother. She felt the same way when she left her aunt to play with Caelius, "Alright then, let's make this quick!" She trotted alongside the filly, keeping a pace that Lilith could easily match as the two of them moved into the woods.

As the two moved forward deeper into the woods the trees were more clumped together. They were thicker towards the top, letting very little light through upon the forest grounds. As they moved farther into the woods the little filly's excitement rose and more energy seemed to come from Lilith. With her excitement came a bit of clumsiness. Jumping over a log she barely made it over it. Currently she was a bit unstable.

Laughing at her cousin's uncontainable energy and the fumbles that came with it. The way little foal legs worked was always so unpredictable. She stepped over the log, it being significantly lower for her than Lilith, and nudged her cousin gently, "Be careful now. Don't want to make a lot of noise and scare off the ghosts."

Lilith jumped on top of the log, her little hoofs making solid contact with the top of it. "Why would the ghosts be scared of us?" She inquired of her older cousin. "Aren't they suppose to be the ones who try to scare us...not the other way around." A little grin formed on the little fillies face and then she hopped off of the log. "Hey~" She started in a sing-song voice. "Do you think ghosts know how to make music or sing? We could make a ghostly band with them. Or...Or maybe I can become a ghost" there was a small pause. "Though I don't think mother would like it if I became a ghost."
There was another pause as her tail flicked behind her and the two continued deeper into the forest. The questions kept on coming. "Do you think we'd be able to befriend these ghosts? What if they tried to eat us? Then what do you think will happen? Do you think they will be angry for coming onto their lands? "

How he aunt put up with this little fireball, Branwen wasn't quite sure, but it certainly had to be quite the adventure. She only hoped that her own children would be just as lively and friendly, getting a just a little giddy for a moment at the thought of her own children. In an attempt to answer all of Lilith's question in one fell swoop, the older mare reply with "I really don't know. Ghosts are fickle things so we'll just have to wait and see."
She caught the sound of the wind sweeping through the forest, it giving the slightest of moans as it did, and Branwen got an idea. Stopping suddenly and looking very alert, she whispered to her cousin, "Shh....I think one is near by. Maybe we should stand here quietly and wait to see if it shows itself." With any luck the wind would howl loud enough to mimic the sound of a ghost and give Lilith the thrill she was seeking.
