A fluffy bottomed tom had been pulling light-hearted pranks all afternoon. Be it jumping out of bushes to startle joggers or clawing at peoples butts as they sat on benches. Getting a panicked reaction from humans really got a chuckle out of Darian, so long as nobody got hurt in the process. He was all for fun and games but if he happened to make a child cry or a human angry he would apologize by meowing and working his youthful charms on them. It was hard to stay upset with an animal of such luring charisma.

However, his jokes were getting old and he found himself yearning for a familiar face. Company that he hadn't had the pleasure in having in quite some time. He knew where she stayed, and he knew it was risky business going there but he needed to see her. Scurrying along the walls of shops he darted his way to and fro. Soon, the bob tailed tom was at the mansion where he had picked Hemera up for their first date. He bit his lip and didn't exactly know how to call her out without getting caught so he did what seemed safe. He waited by the entrance, out of sight but stealthily watching.

A good chunk of time passed by and still no sign of anybody coming or going. Slowly, the bob tailed male was loosing hope as the sun began to sink down into the horizon. "Come on Hemmy.... come out," he spoke to himself mostly but wished she could maybe hear his voice as it carried on the small breeze. His whisper wasn't the only sound he could hear though. Soon there was a gentle ring of a low note, unmistakeably belonging to a bass. His curled ears twitched with delight as he tuned in and swayed with the sound. "Hmmm.... Hemmy?" He cooed softly before gathering up the courage to explore the sound. He slid between the bars of the gate and crouched low to the ground as he snug into the territory. Scaling the wall, he had to leap of drains and catch ledges before hoisting himself up to an open window. So this was the source of the music, and hopefully where he would find his precious Hemera.

"Hemmy? You in here?" he spoke softly as he dropped down, slinking onto the floor. His eyes instantly zoned in on the girl he had missed so dearly and a smile crept over his expression. "Hemmy!" he cried out in a hushed tone, not wanting her parents to know he had snuck into their daughters room. He rushed to the bed and crawled on before wrapping her up in his arms for a much needed hug. "I'm sorry I've been.... away for so long." He pulled back only to reveal his apologetic eyes accompanied by a sympathetic smile. Then his mind was focused on something that could trigger some small talk. Sure, they were friends, but this long absence made Darian uncomfortable. "You've been practicing... haven't you?" He kept his soft stare but his smile grew much larger.
