Everyone might ask "Why would you want a house? You never really use it for anything. It's simply a waste of good Gaia server!" What some might not understand is that Gaia Housing is optional, and is simply a way to show off some of the items or gold you have. You can also use your home as an active chat room in Gaia Towns, or as a place too meet friends before you do activities together (such as flower picking, or trash hunting).______________________________________________________
Where to buy? Anything that involves houses can be found in Aekea. Go to your top 3 tabs and click on the one that says 'Games' then find the link that says 'World Map'.
From that page use the teleport button, and scroll down to the name 'Aekea'
and find the Housing Commision.
Step 1: Before you can do anything you must first own a house. Too aquire one, simply click on the small button that says 'Homes', with captions beneath it saying 'Get your home here'...
Note: Your first home is free!
Step 2: This will pop up a small window that let's you choose a house style of your preference.
Note: The outside appearence of the home you choose will not make any difference to the interior size. It is simply what you want your home to look like on the outside.______________________________________________________ Remodeling Your Home Now, if you should ever want to change the outside look of your home, you must simply click on the button that says 'Remodel', and in captions it reads 'Change the style of your home'...
This will pop up a small window that asks if you would like to remodel your home, and what it costs...
______________________________________________________ Upgrade Your Home You might notice after a while that you would like to increase the size of your home to place more objects into it and what not...well, just click on the small button that reads 'Upgrade, Expand the size of your home'...
This will pop up a small window that asks you to confirm it...
______________________________________________________ Town Permits Too be able to put your home anywhere in Towns, you must simply recieve a town permit.
This will open a smaller window that will give you your first and only permit for free...
______________________________________________________
Reserving Neighborhoods Have you imagined a place where you could walk from one friends house to another? With neighborhood reservations you can! This will reserve a special neighborhood for you and any of your friends on your friends list, so you can all live next to one another.
A small window will appear that explains the process to you...
______________________________________________________ Relocating Your Home If you ever find a better spot for your house in Gaia, or you just want to get away from those pesky neighbors, then you can always relocate your home!
But it will cost you moving fee's...
______________________________________________________ Where Too Buy Furniture? Now that you own a home, what do you do with it? Well, you can put things into it of course! You can buy furniture for your home or simply put other items from your inventory into your home for flavor!
Our furniture shopping all takes place in the Faktori (Yes, this is actually how it is spelt). Here you will meet the three robots and their stations...
Step 1: The first robot is named Bildeau, he specializes in flooring and wallpapers for your home...
Note: Too see the other two robot's, and what they have to offer, you must click on either the 'Wall Furnishings' or 'Floor Furnishings' buttons.
Step 2: Let's begin with 'Wall Furnishings'...once inside, you will meet the second robot Ribateau. He specializes in Doors, windows, shelves, and wall decorations for your home.
Step 3: The third robot, located in Floor Furnishings, is Bloundeau. He sells everything that can be placed on the floor in your home. This includes beds, dressers, tables, lamps, plants, desks, and much more!
Note: Furniture shopping is expensive! You can sometimes find furniture at lower prices in the Marketplace that others are selling. But check to make sure if the prices you looking at are lower, becuase there are scammers in the marketplace who take advantage of newbies.______________________________________________________

How Do I Put Everything In My Home Now? Now that you have a home, and everything to put into it, how do you freaking set it all up inside?! Well, this is actually quite simple.
Step 1: You must first go to you Profile and select the small button that says 'My Home'...
Step 2: This link will have taken you to an odd grid page that shows your items and friends at the bottom that can all be placed and shown inside your home. This is calle your 'Suitcase'...
Step 3: Too add your wanted items to your Suitcase, and friends too your House Guest List, simply click on the image and hold it while dragging it to the right area.
Step 4: Once you have moved every item and friend you want into your Suitcase click on the small button that says 'Save Changes'...
Note: If you don't click 'Save Changes' after any moving you do, your items will be sent back to their original area.
Step 5: Now that you have saved your items into your Suitcase, you must press the 'Arrange My Home' button too begin arranging your items and friends...______________________________________________________ How Too Set It All Up? Ok, so I've bought a house, bought the furniture, put everything in my Suitcase, now what? Well, now all you have to do is decorate your home! For the first few steps I'll be explaining how all of the buttons in the house work... Remember: My home is extended! Your home will not be this large when you first get it. If you want a larger house than you will have to pay 20k to Josie, the woman who runs the Housing Commision.
Step 1: I will begin explaining about Tiles. Tiles are the designs that you can place on your walls and floor. You can look at all of your available tiles by clicking the 'Tiles' arrow...
Step 2: This will bring up a menu of tiles that you own, and have bought. You can decorate all three surfaces of your home in different ways. Each square in the tile menu will glow a different color when selected...
Note: The left wall glows red, the right wall glows green, and the floor glows blue when selected.
Step 3: Some tiles, such as wood, can be shown in various ways. To make the grain of wood flow in other directions than the defualt direction, you need just select a wall, and click on the tile. From here a set of numbers will appear that will allow you to select the grain flow of the wood.
Step 4: One of the most important things about houses is the main items: furniture. Furniture is rather expensive, but will be used for bigger purposes later on when Gaia is more developed. Too see any furniture you own, that you have placed in your suitcase before hand, simply click on the Inventory Pallete.
Step 5: This will open the inventory of all of your furniture. All of your furniture is divided into different catagories. The catagories are: Wall, Floor, and Misc.
Note: They aren't all side by side in the house customizer, they will pop up individually as you select their tab.
Step 6: To move a piece of furniture into your home simply click on the furniture you would like to move from the inventory and hold the button while you slide the mouse to the house floor.
Step 7: When an item is placed into your home, there are two buttons that can be pushed. A small circling arrow button, and a smaller still 'Red x' button.
With the small circular arrow button, you can make the object face different directions. And the small 'Red x' button, will simply cancel the item and put it back into your inventory.
Step 8: In addition too furniture and tiles, you can also place avatars inside of your home. Too place avatars inside, just use the same method that you used in placing furniture inside your home.
Step 9: One of the oddest features about moving your house around is the furniture eye. Using this eye, you can either see all of your furniture whole (Open eye), slightly invisible (slightly closed), or not there at all (closed eye)! These features can help when placing furniture around other furniture that is cluttered with things.
Step 10: Using the View and Edit buttons at the top left cornere of your housing, you can look at what you house will look like when it's complete. Once your complete with viewing your home, simply push the 'Edit' button to go back too editing your home. You can also switch on and off the lighting using a small button too the right hand side.
Note: When your experimenting with the view button, you can turn on/off any lamps in your home by simply clicking on them!
Step 11: If you ever want to completely empty your home of furniture adn start over, simply click the 'Clear Room' button.
Step 12: And finally, once you have completed your home and are fully satisfied with it's look, click the 'Save' button.
Just a note to anyone who cares too know, making guide's is not easy, let me assure you! This guide alone took me several hours and none of you will ever know how happy I was to finally finish this...unless you have made a guide before, then you would know.
