  Is Blizzard fscking with the points system again? Used to be Even Matched games were a straight 10 points, maybe a little more or less depending on what happened. Well for the past few days I've noticed that when I win an Even Match I only get 9 points but when I lose I lose closer to 14 points. Wtf, how is this fair?

If you're slightly favored, you lose more. If they are slightly favored, you win more.

if it's evenly matched then the win/loss ranges shouldn't be so large. bonus pool tends to create some disparity between how much one should win and how much one should actually win.
but only winning 9 points or so sounds much like Diamond. are you sure they're "evenly matched?" ladder is restarting soon anyways, so points will be reset. but maybe you'll jump ahead a league since you were in Platinum previously.

Yeah, I'm sure. I check every time. That's how I gauge how aggressive I should be in the beginning. I know that's a bad thing to use to judge that sort of thing but I can't help it.

Awkward. I guess you get more/less based on who is favored, and it's a random amount as well? =/

Maybe it depends on how many points you were ahead/behind by on the score screen at the end? That's usually a half decent indicator of how far ahead/behind you were. I dunno if Blizzard's system is that sophisticated, but it could be...

That's about opposite of me. I usually get around 20-23 points (bonus pool included of course) for winning, and 4-7 points for losing. Maybe it has something to do with how often you play and win/lose?
