Create an Event! It's time to see exactly what it is you guys want to do by allowing you to plan an event for us! Come up with a fun idea, choose the place, and the rules/guidelines to make us a real group when we go! We'll do the two top-voted events at the end of the month to see who's LGT's Best Event Planner!
Rules/Guidelines:
If you've posted an idea in the Blueprints, you can submit it to the contest.
You can only submit one entry.
Please specify the length of time the event will last if it's meant to last more than three hours (i.e., one week/all day)
Do not steal anyone else's idea to claim it as your own. (You can however rummage through the History Hall and revamp a past LGT event.) If someone else submits the same idea you have before you, you can't submit a too-similar event. Sorreh.
Rough drafts should be submitted in this thread by January 20th to work out kinks and holes. Entries must be completely polished and re-posted by Monday January 24th.
There is no limit to what the event is, whether it's off of Gaia, in zOMG!, dealing with the Games, in Towns, in forums, or has already been done here in LGT (just put your own twist on it)... it just has to be on the computer and meant for lots of people.
There must be at least three events submitted for the contest to begin.
Non-members can submit an entry, but not for gold.
The prize is 20,000g! If we get five entries, second place will also win 10,000g

Here's my idea: Mardi Gras Parade! Location: zOMG! or Towns would probably work best. I'm leaning towards towns.
Theme: Mardi Gras, of course! Click here to learn about Mardi Gras
Outfit [optional]: Carnival clothes! Be colorful!
When : March 8th would be ideal... But since its a Tuesday, the 5th or 6th would be best... Will revise...
Duration : Not really sure... Three hours would probably be great >.<
Other details: Sorry it took so long to post this, I wasn't feeling too well after I suggested it in the Blueprints thread. Will revise soon smile

On Sunday March 20, to celebrate the first day of spring, let's have a picnic in the Village Greens. Everyone can bring a treat, and perhaps have some sort of doorprize...Dress to express "springtime".

Location: Village Green, or maybe Zen? I'd like to have it in Zen, but this will depend on the time - not at Gaia night!
Theme: Springtime!
Outfit: Springish! Think light green, flowers, birds, etc
When: Sunday March 20
Duration: 1 hour plus, depending on how long people want to hang out
Other details: flowers for everyone who attends biggrin

Outfit [optional]: Mardis Gras Colors are purple, green, and gold. Also, go with fun outfits. Feather boas, Joker outfits, something to really parade about in.
When : March 6th (It's a Sunday)
Duration : An hour or more. Depends on how long people are able to stay. No more than three.

Here's my idea: Zoo Crew!
Location: zOMG, Towns, or forums will work
Theme: Animals
Outfit [optional]: Come dressed as an animal and wearing as many animal items as you can.
When [if the last weekend of January doesn't work]: Whenever!
Duration [if three hours is not enough/too much]: Anywhere from as long as it takes to mob threads to an hour to... however long it'll last.
Other details: Participants can talk mainly in animal sounds, though not just the sound of the animal they're dressed as.
