Aduial was growing quickly, though she still remained quite small. Clearly, she was due to grow to be a dainty adult, which seemed fitting for her overall demure and feminine attitude. She would also grow to be quite lovely. She knew this, without arrogance or flippancy; it was merely a simple truth: she would be a beautiful wolf.
She accepted this knowledge, as she accepted most things, with grace.
She also recognized her shortcomings. Tiny and lovely as she was, she was hardly as fast or as strong as the others in her pack. And, for a pack which centered so fully and completely upon the hunt, this would be a terrible setback for her all her life unless she made a move to solve it now.
So, the young teen had decided to take it into her own paws. She'd just have to learn another way to utilize her skills to get the job done, she decided. She just wasn't sure how to do that, just yet.
Thoughts heavy with consideration, the dainty female wove her way through the trees, pondering her options -- quite oblivious, for a moment, to the world around her.

Trouble romped through the Draug forests around him. He'd always loved his pack's territory, from the moment Haku had taken him in. The almost all-knowing Alpha had raised Trouble to be strong and as gentlemanly as he could be. In which the young adult male came close, but close sometimes didn't seem like enough to the rest of the pack. Most thought of him as childish and immature: which he undisputably was. Trouble...was not like normal adult males.
He played with pups, he rolled through the mud and dived into rivers. He chased butterflies through the wind, and rabbits through the forests. At least, he chased them until he accidentally chomped down on fragile wings or silky fur too hard. The tan male was too big and strong for his own good. That was what he heard most wolves that were more mature saying. However, it never really affected him. He just kept on playing and having fun!
And by these means, Trouble found himself deep into the pack forests. He was originally looking for rabbits when he caught a familiar scent. It smelled like one of the Alpha's pups, and Trouble decided to investigate. He was never really able to play with them when they were first born, because of Trouble's sheer size and power. He might have accidentally hurt them! But he figured that now, they must have been big enough to travel around the territory alone.
"Helloooooo? Is anybody thereeee?" He sing-songed through the trees, following his big wet nose.

Her ears flicked and she winced a bit at the sounds of a wolf crashing through the forest nearby. Aduial generally prided herself on her knowledge of the pack. She had made it her goal to get to know every wolf she came across, whenever possible. So realizing that there was another wolf in her proximity -- one whom she did not immediately recognize -- put her immediately on edge. Not to mention he was so incredibly loud.
Aduial liked to have the upper hand in all encounters, if she could. Being snuck up on by the loudest oaf in the forest was not something she could allow.
"I'm here," she called back, her voice soft, musical and lilting -- and tinged with just the slightest bit of annoyance. An unseemly thing for the young debutante's voice, certainly, and she struggled to contain it and swallow back any annoyance she felt at the interruption. This was an opportunity. Indeed, now that she thought of it....perhaps an opportunity to exploit. "Who's there?"

Trouble's tongue lolled out of his mouth in excitement. A response!
"Trouble!" He almost squee'd. As he got closer to the voice, decidedly female (it was such a pretty voice!) he saw that it must have been one of Haku and Macha's pups. That pelt said it all. His tail wagged so vehemently that his very read end started to sway with it. "Hi! You smell like Haku and Macha!"
Then, remembering his manners, Trouble felt ashamed. "I-I-I mean you must be one of Haku and Macha's children, M'lady. It's v-very nice to meet you." His very composure was crestfallen. His head drooped down in a bow and his ears pressed against his skull a bit. He had to be respectful of the Alpha's litter! Not to mention, this female was very pretty. He snuck a quick glance at her, then cast his eyes to the ground, embarrassed.

Trouble? Oh my. What an unfortunate name.
As he approached she immediately took a dominant stance, head and tail high. A brow quirked at his first statement, and she merely looked at him for a moment with uneasy disdain. But then he submitted himself to her completely, and she couldn't help but smile. "I am Aduial," she said, with a nod. "One of the alpha's daughters."
She laughed, then, graciously, and prodded gently at his shoulder with a blue-marked forepaw. "You may stand up now, Trouble." It was funny, being able to boss around an older wolf.

Aduial. It rolled off of his tongue in a nice way. He liked the sound that came from it. Her laugh seemed like almost like a lullaby that one of the Pack Mother's had hummed to him when he was a pup.
When she touched his shoulder, he looked up. His tail began to wag again and his tongue lolled out of his mouth. Some had remarked that he looked like one of the two-legger's tamed wolves when he got like this. Trouble so wanted to meet one of these wolves! Maybe they would be like the two-legger pups who had tied the blue string around his neck and set him free!
Trouble snapped himself back to reality, and calmed down.
"What are you doing out here? Aren't you lonely? You could come play with me and the bunnies. They're lots of fun until after you catch them." His speech was fast and excited. "Aduialaduialaudial. Your name is pretty." He giggled.

She laughed again, raising a paw to demurely cover her muzzle as she declined her head, giggling into the soft fur of her chest. He was silly. She couldn't think of another wolf she had met that was so childish, and it intrigued her.
Lowering her paw, she tilted her head, looking up at him. "You play with rabbits?" She asked, brows lifting just slightly, her expression still pleasant and not marred by irony. "Not hunt them?"

"Well sometimes. They're more fun to play with than butterflies. The butterflies are too fragile, and I'm too big." He puffed out his white-splotched chest with pride. Maybe he was trying to impress her, he didn't really care. She seemed to be the only one who had taken an interest in his playing. His tail began to wag again, hitting the bushes behind him, thus causing some creatures to stir and nestle into their burrows. The idea of having a new friend was very exciting to him.
"Do you ever play?" His ears perked up, and he looked the femme over. Surely she could chase after rabbits and butterflies!

She tried to imagine this large, grown wolf chasing butterflies, and the image that it conjured amused her greatly. She smiled a gentle smile, and shook her head to his question. "Not quite like that, I don't think," she said.
Aduial had never been one for rough play. She was not very good at it, for one: her dainty body made her ill-suited for rough-housing, and she had an almost phobic disdain of anything that might get her dirty. Also, a rather unpleasant encounter with a poisonous thorn as a pup had turned her off the idea of exploring unbeaten paths entirely.
She did like to observe, however, and that gave way to her own type of play. When Aduial played, she liked to pretend...and she liked to manipulate.
She didn't recognize it for that, of course, and she never felt that she was acting inappropriately. She never meant to hurt anyone with it. She simply was fascinated with the subtle workings of other's minds, and got a sort of primal delight in how very easy it was to change their behavior with the simplest of actions.
So, with that in mind, Aduial did play with Trouble -- in the only way she properly knew how. "But you could teach me, if you liked."
