Also, because I know quite well that masses of text as long as this guide can be intimidating for even the best of us, this guide is written in such a way that it's less like trying to force your way through a textbook, and more like I'm actually explaining something to you. Hopefully that will help those who have trouble getting through long blocks of text.

[url=http://
This is probably to easiest portion of the format, but as there are probably those who still don’t quite get it, I shall explain.
First of all, that big block of code at the top, that spells out Character Name when you put it together. Simply replace the C and N with the first letters of your first and last name, and the rest with the rest of your name. For the imgright section, just paste a URL to the picture you want for your RPC, if you want to use a picture.
Character name, as usual, is quite obvious. Simply put what you wish to be named in that slot. Nicknames are any nicknames you want your RPC to have. Don’t be surprised if nobody calls you by them though, seeing as a lot of people don’t check the profiles of people they interact with.
Titles are a bit different. These are things that you are generally meant to earn over time, though it’s not uncommon for people to give themselves a title from the start. If it’s a title you’ve earned in the RP, it’s entirely possible people might recognize you by it.
Rank is what rank you have in your village. Academy Student, Genin, Chuunin, Special Jounin, Jounin, Sannin, and Kage are our main ranks. Unless you have been given an auto rank by the captain and VCs however, you will be starting as an Academy Student.
Your village, is where your character lives. Now, not all villages are always open. Some are closed at times to allow other villages to get more members in. There are lists here and there of what village is open, but they don’t always tend to be updated regularly. If you’re not sure where to go, you have three options. One, look back through the profiles. The judge has most likely said at some point recently what villages are open for new members. Two, ask in the Q&A thread in the guild’s main forum. Someone will most likely know and answer you. Three, simply submit your profile with the village you wish to join. If your desired village is closed, the judge will simply give you the list of where else you can go. The first option is preferable however, so unless it’s not available, use it before the others.
Background Info isn’t entirely necessary at the start. It’s preferable to have, but can be added later. There are two options here. One, you can remove the link code and simply write your background in the section provided. Or, you can go to the The Stories of our Lives: Shinobi Backgrounds sub forum, and make a thread there. Your background is simply a short history of your character, to set the pace for their life in the RP. Some people enjoy keeping a record of their experiences within the RP in their back story too, but that’s not entirely necessary.

Section Two - Physical Description
~
Physical Description
Age: (How old is your character, be reallistic)
Sex: (Male or Female?)
Hair Color:
Natural Eye Color:
Body Type: (Athletic, Fat, Curvy, Average, etc...)
Distinguishing Features: (Scars, tattos, anything unique about your character's appearance [note: your character is human, they shouldn't have cat ears, or wings or any such nonsense unless they have some kekkai genkai that gives them such traits])
For your physical description, if you don’t have a picture of your RPC, it’s appreciated if you give a short description in this section. If you do have a picture, that’s not necessary, but you do need to fill in the spaces following it.
Age is simple. How old do you want your RPC to be? Obviously most people don’t want to be an eighty year old genin, so the average age tends to be between twelve and eighteen. Auto ranks of course break the mold, and can choose much higher ages without question.
Sex is obviously what gender you wish to be. You’re going to run into some questions if your profile says male, but your RPC acts like a female in the RP.
Hair color is also obvious. It’s preferable of course that your picture have the same hair color as your profile says, but it’s still useful information.
Same with eye color, though there are a few clans bloodlines and demons that affect this, and you’ll have to keep that in mind.
Body type. Do you want to be muscular, or fat? Maybe you just want to be an average built guy. This doesn’t really affect much other than how we see you after reading your profile, but please, if your profile says fat, don’t run around in the RP talking about how thin you are.
Distinguishing feaures are just that. Does your RPC have a giant scar running down his front? Maybe you have a tattoo of your mom beating up a cow on your eyelid? Or possibly you’re just missing a limb. This section is for those odd things that just don’t fit anywhere else in the format.

Section Three - Bloodlines and Demons
~
----------------------------------------------------------------
Bloodline, Clan, or Demon
----------------------------------------------------------------
Main Info
Bloodline, Clan, or Demon: (Name of your bloodline, clan, or Demon; erase what you don't have; provide a link to your bloodline, clan, or Demon)
Bloodline/Clan Stage: (current stage of your bloodline or clan; some start as dormant, will say in the bloodline/clan description; provide link to achievement of current stage if applicable)
Abilities of the Bloodline/Clan: (provide Basic Information on your bloodline/clan below)
1.
2.
3.
1.
2.
3.
This section is entirely optional. If you don’t have a bloodline, clan, or demon, you can just remove this section from your profile entirely, as it’s just wasted space.
If you do however, have a bloodline or demon, you put the name in the first slot, and a link to the bloodline in the bloodline thread.
To get a bloodline or demon, you need to go here. In that sub forum, you’ll find threads for bloodlines, clans and demons, as well as a thread to make an application for one. Study up on the bloodline you want, then make an application in the proper thread. The judges will determine whether or not you have shown sufficient knowledge of the bloodline to be trusted with it in the RP.
Once you have your bloodline, you’ll want to look at the stages section on the format. A lot of your bloodlines have multiple stages, which each have their own requirements to obtain. Before you go and put down that you’re at the Eternal Mangekyou stage of Sharingan, no, you are not. All bloodlines start in their dormant state, and must be awoken somehow. Usually in a life or death situation. Thus, you put down Dormant, or Stage one if it is an active starting bloodline. If you have a demon, this slot can be used to show what level you’re at with the demon. Is it dormant, and unknown? Or is it active and giving you power? Or, are you a perfect host? These also have their own systems, so don’t put down that you’re a perfect host just yet.
The abilities of your bloodline are simply the rules your bloodline follows. The powers it gives you. For Sharingan, you would put down such things as the ability to copy jutsu. By default there are only three slots, but you are free to add more if needed. This section also applies to demons, and you should put down what powers your demon gives you as well.
A note to prevent any possible confusion. You cannot have a bloodline and a demon. You also cannot have a bloodline and a clan, nor multiple bloodlines.
Don't even bother try getting a bloodline without applying for it either. Gregar always knows, and your profile will be denied. To avoid any confusion, you should add a link in this section to the post where your bloodline application was approved.

Section Four - Companions
~
Companion Info.
Companion Type: (dogs, bugs, etc...)
Companion Name: (name of companion if applicable)

Bug Evolutions: (Place Aburame Clan bug evolutions below with the effects of the evolution; provide link to the evolution post)
1. (ex: fire resistance- fire jutsus C rank and lower do not affect the bugs)
2.
3.
4.

2.
3.
4.
Companions are quite simply, animals you keep around with you. Mostly this is for clans like Inuzuka, Aburame, Anigan, and Naga. It is occasionally allowed to have a pet without being in one of the animal clans, but you won’t be allowed to use it in combat. You also most likely won’t be allowed anything more inherently dangerous than a kitten.
I unfortunately don’t know enough about Aburame evolutions to say much about that. I can say though, that you won’t start with any. It should be mentioned on the Aburame post in the clans thread.
If you don’t have an animal companion, you can remove this section from the profile to save space.

Section Five - Transplants
~
Transplant Info
Bloodline/Clan Transplant: (name of the bloodline/clan transplanted; provide link to transplanting post)

1.
2.
3.
Bloodline/Clan Transplant: (name of the bloodline/clan transplanted; provide link to transplanting post)
Transplant Stage: (current stage of transplant; provide link to achievement of current stage)
Abilities of Transplant: (Provide basic info on your transplant)
1.
2.
3.
No, this is not a section for organ transplants. This is bloodline transplants. Now, if this is your first time filling out the profile, or you’re an auto rank, just keep right on going. You’re not going to start out with a transplant. Ever. This section is only to be updated if you get a bloodline transplant in the RP. Rules for this can be found in the rule book. You can keep or remove this section. It makes little difference until you actually get a transplant.
The name stage and abilities are all the same as the bloodline section, so we don’t need to go over that again.

Shinobi profession. This is something that’s going to have a serious impact on your RPC, as it can easily determine what sort of techniques you can learn. Some give you special bonuses, while some come with their own techniques and abilities. To figure out what one you want, go here.
Once you’ve chosen your profession, you put it down next to the “Shinobi Profession:” slot.
Each profession has a base benefit, which you simply copy and paste into the benefit slot.
The same with learning information.
Most professions come with a choice of multiple weaknesses. Luckily, you only have to choose one. Take the one you’d prefer to have, and paste it in the weakness slot.
Rank benefits are only obtained after you obtain the required rank. You can pick out the ones you want at creation, but you only put them on your profile after you rank up. Once again though, they are simply a matter of copy paste.
Shinobi types are much the same as professions, except you are allowed to take two of them. You can take none, one, or two. Some give special benefits if you only take one, while combinations of others can give you a major advantage later on. A special note though. Bonuses do not stack. If you have two different learning bonuses, you will always take the larger, but can not combine them. An exception would be a type such as elemental combined with tactical. Both give a -3 post bonus, tactical to everything, but elemental only to a single element. Elemental also gives a +1 post penalty to anything outside your chosen element. Mean, you get -3 to your elemental jutsu, but not to anything else. Your tactical type however, affects everything else, giving you a -2 bonus after the +1 penalty. Confusing? Good!
Adding the types to your profile is a simple matter of copy pasting the proper info from the types thread to your profile.

Section Seven - Chakra
~
----------------------------------------------------------------
Chakra and Jutsu
----------------------------------------------------------------
Chakra Information

Elemental Affinities: (Put any elements you can use here)
Chakra and Jutsu
----------------------------------------------------------------
Chakra Information
Chakra Level: (Low, Medium, or High Chakra level; Low= no bloodline/clan, Medium= bloodline/clan, High= bloodline/clan head or demon; include what your specific chakra point modifier is, if it's 3/10 chakra points, put that, if it's 7/10 put that)
Chakra Point: (Place your total chakra points here)
Chakra Control: (Place any chakra cost bonuses or penalties here)

Elemental Affinities: (Put any elements you can use here)
Chakra levels are pretty simple. If you don’t have a bloodline, your chakra is Low. If you do have a bloodline, it is Medium. If you are the head of a bloodline, or you have a demon, it is High. A fairly thorough explanation of the chakra system can be found here. Basically what you need to know though, is that an academy student with low chakra has 15 points. Medium chakra gives them 18 points, with a modifier of 3/10, or, three per ten. If you’re going for an auto rank, I hope you already know this, because I’m not detailing every rank. Demons are a bit different. High chakra gives a modifier of 5/10, but excluding the Ichibi, or one tail, the demons all have their own unique modifier, which can be found there. Only demon hosts are able to get high chakra before chuunin rank.
Chakra control is simply any bonuses you get from your bloodline, clan, demon, profession, and types. Anything that changes how much jutsu cost you gets placed here.
Elemental affinities is simply what element your chakra is. Your element is an important thing when making a character, because it determines what elemental jutsu you are able to learn. It’s impossible to learn jutsu outside of your chosen element. Some bloodlines make this easier by choosing your element for you, while others give you multiple elements to start with, and some demons will grant you an extra element separate from your chosen element. You can only get one element at the start unless you have a clan that gives two, or a demon that gives you extras. After reaching chuunin, you can choose a second element, and after jounin, a third.

Well that’s a big section! Confused yet? Well, don’t be. This section is actually rather useless to you when you start out. The only thing you need to change is the element names, to match your own element. Do not add jutsu yet. Unless you’re an auto rank, you don’t get any jutsu other than the three added to the format by default. You’ll have to learn them in the RP.
Now, if you don’t have a bloodline or clan, you can just chop that chunk right out of there, as you’re never going to use it, making it useless space. The others however, remain as they are. Once you start learning jutsu, you need to add them to your profile, so everyone knows you really learned them. Links to the post where it was learned are always a plus too. If you look at some profiles of those who have been Rping for awhile, you can see that they keep track of all the jutsu they know, by splitting them up into the given sections. Ninjutsu in their place, genjutsu in theirs. They are also separated by elements. You have your chosen element, and then you also have Universal. Universal jutsu can be learned by anyone, regardless of element.

Section Nine - Summoning
~
----------------------------------------------------------------
Summoning Information

Summoning Type: (what type of animals do you summon, dog, snake, toad, etc.)
Summons Known: (don't worry about filling this out just yet)
Stop. I know your first reaction to seeing this is to scribble in your favorite summons, so, stop. You can’t get these at character creation. If you want them, you need to find the original summoner in the RP, and sign their contract. If there is no original summoner, you can apply for the position here. But keep in mind that you can’t use a summon until you are of sufficient rank. Normally you can’t learn a summon until chuunin rank, but if you have the summoning specialist type, or are a demon host, that is dropped to genin. For now though, just ignore this section and move on.
~
Section Ten - Fighting Styles

This is also a section you will be skipping over for now. Later on once you enter the RP, you will have the opportunity to choose and learn a weapon or taijutsu style. This is just like the jutsu section, but specialized for each style you learn. Some professions allow you to learn more or less styles than others.

The weapons slot, is simply that. If you want a sword, or staff, or spear, or really anything unique that isn’t on the format already, you add it in there. Don’t go giving it special abilities though. For that, you’ll need to get a Custom Weapon approved. You can put just about anything in this slot though, so long as it’s not insane, like a ten foot broadsword.
Shinobi tools is also easy. Just put down how many of each tool you want your RPC to carry around with him. Keep it reasonable though, as profiles have been denied simply for having too many shuriken. When you use these tools in the RP, you lose them. You can pick them up again after the battle, but you won’t be able to magically regain them in your pockets, and if you lose them, you’ll have to get new ones from a shop, you can’t just find them lying around the wild.
Your headband style, is simply what your headband looks like. It could be a normal one like in the anime/manga, in which case you’d simply say normal, or it might have long straps that hang halfway down your back, or be a fancy horned one like Jiraiya or the demon brothers wore. It also doesn’t have to be an actual band. You could get a custom made one after graduation, and have it as dog tags, a necklace, a special band stitched into your clothes, or even a tattoo. Except in special cases, everyone above the rank of Academy Student has a headband, or something else with their village symbol.
Location is simply where you wear it. On your forehead, over your eye, like Kakashi, next to your head like Zabuza, around your neck, as a belt, stuffed in your pocket, stapled to your chest, wherever.
Color is obvious enough to where I’m not even going to mention it beyond saying how obvious it is.
Flak jackets are those things chuunin and jounin wear in the anime. Style is simply what yours looks like, if you even want one. If you don’t want to have one, just put N/A, or remove the slot entirely.

Well, there we have it. If you’ve followed the guide properly, you should have a passable profile, or one at least close to passable. If you’re still having trouble, or just can’t seem to get approved, post in the Q&A thread, and someone should be able to help you out.
If you just need an example of a profile that was approved, just check the first page of the acceptation thread. There's several there to base yourself off of.
